Looking for the perfect lake view vacation home, Sandy Moose is it! This home is located in Oyster Bay II and is sure to please the whole family! Enjoy a day at the beach then sit back and enjoy the water-views of Mallard Pond from the screened in porch. Newly remodeled with granite counter tops and Pergo flooring. Home has security camera under the house directed towards the pond.

Cancellations made 30 days prior to arrival will receive 100% of refund  of all monies minus $ 39 Processing Fee and Any Credit Card Convenience Fees Paid.  If less then 30 days: the advanced rent is only refundable subject to the following: The property is re-rented for the same period. Re-rental of less than a full week will be refunded on a pro-rated basis. The Agent will retain a $39.00 processing charge and any convenience fees charged. *Deposits are not refunded for ANY reason (including bad weather).

The house needs a work. Floor tiles were broken, it was dusty, and the furniture could use an update or a cleaning. We couldn't get some of the appliances to work, but a replacement toaster was brought to us quickly when I emailed about the problem. The house is in a good location, it has a nice view.

Thank you for the nice review, we have many of the minor maintenance issues on schedule for attention now that rentals are slowing and there are breaks in the guest dates.

Reviewer Comments: The Sandy Moose house was nice , only thing is that the lighting in yhe kitchen was low due to having only 2 bulbs out of 4 and the one in kitchen had blown out , we called and reported that we needed more light but didnt get it ..my grandsons were so excited about the outside shower but was unable to use it due to no hot water..other then that the house is nice and would stay again

A perfect spot

I fell in love with Chincoteague years ago and always wanted to visit for more than a day so I invited my son and family for a weeks vacation! We relished each tranquil day gathering on the screened in back porch visiting and enjoying the backyard wildlife. It was the perfect spot to entertain my 2.5 year old granddaughter!! Hope to make this an annual event.

Nice place with some issues

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been staying here for the last few years. Only the cold side of the outdoor shower was working this year. Not the first time this has happened. The screen on the screen porch door was ripped. Good thing there were no mosquitoes because of drought. The broken tiles on the floor are getting worse. There is some sort of surveillance system that wasn't mentioned and was emitting really annoying noises that we couldn't locate for a couple of days. Had to unplug it.

As someone who's in charge of and enjoys doing the cooking, the kitchen was spacious and well equipped.The screened in porch was a haven for morning yoga and afternoon coffee. The floor-plan offered and easy fellowship privacy of the master bedroom. Quiet lot and street were another bonus.

The house is set up perfectly with a master bedroom suite on one side and 2 bedrooms and a full bath on the other with the kitchen and living room in the middle. The space was very comfortable. Quick drive to anything you need or a nice walk to Maddox street for coffee and donuts in the morning.Lots of wildlife visible from the front porch or screened in back porch. We are planning to make this trip a tradition!

Wonderful stay

We loved this house and had a wonderful week. The house is very comfortable. I would warn about 2 very minor things: 1. The AC doesn't work great. We were comfortable but needed fans. 2. The king bed was a very hard mattress and I ended up sleeping in the room with the twin beds instead because I have back and neck problems. Neither of these should dissuade anyone from renting but are just things I would have wanted to know ahead of time. Overall we loved the house and would definitely recommend it.

Clean, well stocked, comfortable beds, great game console, plenty of seating, large and well organized kitchen (all the small appliances you needed including 2 coffee makers).The screened porch was beautiful but the patio furniture wasn't very comfortable. The wonderful view of the pond and birds made up for the furniture. The driveway is single laned as we all drove from different states in different cars there was a lot of juggling cars whenever anyone went out. A side parking area or turnaround would have been nice.Great stay would definitely go again.

Have stayed in many homes and Sandy moose, (once you're inside :)) is Is truly a home away from home. Spacious living space and open view to the water Begs for you to linger and listen send. This quiet corner of the island is ripe with wildlife. This year's visit we had deer Fox black squirrel and of course geese.The kitchen is a well equipped dream with many wih small appliances provided.Master suite is also a major highlight.*I love the look, feel,and security of the stilted house, but Have learned to strategize my move in and move out as well as my trips during the day.

Memorial day vacation

Came down and checked in mid week. Was nice to find a property that allowed a Wed-Wed stay, as to avoid holiday traffic. Property was in a great location, quiet neighborhood. Tile flooring could use an overhaul and front door lock needs replacing. Maintenance men showed up to replace air filters and we were not notified. Had I not gone to the door, they were going to come in. They thought our car was the cleaning crew. Lawncare service showed up before 8a on Monday, which was Memorial Day, and woke us up. Communication from the rental company would have been appreciated. Other than that, nice property and would stay there again if we decide to return.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our third year renting this house. Overall it is a clean, comfortable property. There were two issues this year that I hope will be addressed for 2023. They dishwasher wouldn't close and couldn't be used. It was not properly installed and has gotten worse each year. Also, the cold water valve in the outdoor shower is frozen and wasn't fixed during our stay. A missing pipe plug was replaced so the water could go through the shower head. We would have preferred that the dishwasher be replaced during our stay but there were issues with contractor.
