Walk to everything including shopping, restaurants and entertainment from this convenient in town location! This house has been completely renovated and is a great house for your vacation, with large fenced in back yard. Blue Water has a large kitchen, open to the dining room, perfect for everyone to spend time together. Off the living room is a separate room which can be closed off for even more privacy. This home is protected by an outside surveillance system located on the front door facing the street.
THIS HOME DOES NOT PROVIDE LINENS OR TOWELS. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN OR CALL US TO RENT THEM.

Cancellations made 30 days prior to arrival will receive 100% of refund of all monies minus $ 39 Processing Fee and Any Credit Card Convenience Fees Paid.  If less then 30 days: the advanced rent is only refundable subject to the following: The property is re-rented for the same period. Re-rental of less than a full week will be refunded on a pro-rated basis. The Agent will retain a $39.00 processing charge, and any convenience fees charged. *Deposits are not refunded for ANY reason (including bad weather).

overall it was a nice trip

nice location. house was relatively clean.check in and out was easy.felt like the house wasn't lived in or rented alot.dust on tissue boxes and baseboards.grill needs attended to. very rusty grates but overall i would rent again

Fantastic Older house in the heard of the island...

We were very happy with our stay at Blue Water in Chincoteague. This home provided an easy to access central hub for our stay. Walking distance from some of our favorite restaurants on Maddox and Main. The home, while definitely a classic home was well maintained and we had no issues with it. Check in and out were also made easy to deal with.

Nice location, cute house, tons of flies

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I've stayed in Chincoteague many times over the last 35 years. This location had fewer mosquitoes by far, which was fantastic. The house is cute and we loved being able to walk to Maddox Blvd for coffee, donuts, and ice cream. The bedrooms were comfortable and bathrooms clean. The dining and living rooms were pleasant and spacious. We did have a few issues: the number of flies in and immediately outside of the home was appalling. We couldn't eat a meal or snack on the lovely deck because of the flies. Inside, we had to hang fly paper to minimize the number of flies - we caught dozens in 24 hours. The dishwasher didn't work. When we arrived, many of the dishes that had been put away were greasy and dirty, so we reran the dishwasher on the first day. When it was done washing, the soap hadn't dissolved and everything was still dirty. As a consequence, we ended up hand washing for a group of 8 for the duration of our stay. Finally, the dryer was insanely loud, although functional.

A quiet neighborhood just off of Main Street

We were very pleased with Blue Water overall. It was a nice home, as advertised, within easy walking distance of Main Street/ downtown as well as Maddox Blvd where all the touristy shops are located. Checkin/ checkout was a breeze. We look forward to our next stay at Blue Water!

Perfect

The kitchen and living room were perfect for the 6 adults and our 16 month old grandson loved the huge back yard. The house was a perfect location just10 minutes from the beach.

The house has a large backyard and very nice deck with tons of seating for eating outside. Inside is laid out very nicely and has nice decor. On the one rainy day there was plenty of room to spread out if we wanted, books to read and puzzles. There was even a little puzzle perfect for the youngest in the group (2.5). Loved it here!

Air conditioning worked well. It has an open concept which would be great for a bigger family. We would definitely stay there again.The only thing I would like to see added is a hair dryer. Most houses I’ve stayed in have them and we had to go buy one.

Rainy Weekend on the Island

The house fit us perfectly with ample room to move around on the main level. The fenced in backyard is huge. I only wish there was a fire pit back there! There are numerous places to grab a bite within walking distance and the beach is only a few miles away. Internet speeds were fast enough to stream content. I have no complaints with the property and would recommend.

Very nice house but had a few issues.

The house itself is very nice and was very clean. The beds are generally comfortable and there's lots of dresser space. Multiple bathrooms with showers are great. Beautiful deck with lots of seating and tables and large indoor dining area. There's a coffee machine + Keurig if you're into that. Kitchen has working stove/oven, microwave, toaster oven, and the washer/dryer all worked. Super easy to check in (just picked up keys after hours) and the neighborhood is great. Walking distance to the Island Creamery (what more do you need?) but off the main ave enough it's pretty quiet. There were a few problems with the house. The gas grill was left in unusable condition and was never checked on. The grate and inside was covered in rust and mold. On top of that the igniter was known to be broken, but we were never told that. The manager had some come by to check on it, and they scraped down the cooking grate, and propped back up some of the parts that had literally fallen off, but and we still felt very uncomfortable using it. It would take hours to fully clean and sanitize the grill. The internet was also inoperable when we arrived. We also unfortunately arrived Saturday night, and the management company is closed on Sundays, so we couldn't even make anyone aware of the problem until Monday. It wouldn't be until Wednesday afternoon that the internet had worked. There was a minor issue with the shower drain that was fixed as soon as we were able to make management aware of it. Also the refrigerator produced so much condensation inside that our food started to grow mold... I've never experienced that before. Overall we were able to deal with most issues and Amy was very helpful to sort out as much as was possible. We certainly appreciated that. However we were still a bit disappointed there was so many issues in the first place.
