Love the patio view of the Gulf of Mexico. Renovation going on in the overall building itself which so investment being made.

Great Trip

Sundestin is great with friendly staff, amenities, and location. The unit has a fantastic view. Vacasa was excellent to work with. The unit could do with minor upgrades/updates but overall was a good experience. Would rent again.

Great view, but nothing else!

Loved the location, but the condo was in need of a makeover, furniture, painting, carpets, all need to be replaced. Workmanship on repairs was poor.

Great view and location

This unit had a great view and was in a great location. It was not without its issues though. There’s a decent sized gap between the front door and the frame so the howling wind at night woke us up. Between the wind and the AC unit in the bedroom making loud clunking noises sleep was very difficult to come by. If there wasn’t too much wind though, it was much quieter and we were able to sleep. The bed was very comfortable. Also we were given key cards when we got there that didn’t work and the lockbox on the door also did not work. I tried to call for help and was on hold for 15 minutes with no answer stuck outside of the unit. We ended up going to get new key cards that let us in. Not even sure why there was a lockbox. The internet would go in and out and the TV connection would also go in and out. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, utensils, and a coffee pot. There was no hair dryer. Again the view was incredible and the beach was beautiful. This is located so close to all the bars and restaurants in Destin which made for a convenient commute to any location.

Don’t be fooled by the photos

Unit 1707 is in need of a MAJOR cleaning and upgrade. Considering I paid over $500 a night for this unit, I expected it to be clean and have functional amenities. The one light in the kitchen didn’t work and maintenance couldn’t get it to work, even after a trip to Lowes for parts. Two of the four burners on the 1970’s Frigidaire stove do not work. There is only one dim lamp in the living area so reading at night is next to impossible. You will need to be sitting within a few feet of the router, which is in the bedroom, to get very spotty WiFi. As far as cleanliness, there was mold on the kitchen trash can, food on the oven door, a previous renters sticky sippy cup on the bedroom floor, and hair on the bathroom vanity. I did call for maintenance and housekeeping and I will say they were responsive and did what they could, but this unit needs much more work than can be done while occupied.

The condo was very out dated. It looked as if they painted the tub and the paint was peeling off the bottom of the tub. We loved being on the 17th floor,great views. We went the 2nd week of February. The indoor heated pool and hot tub was very clean. The whole place was really clean. We really enjoyed the stay and we'll be back. Everyone was super nice.

Perfect vacation

The white sands, the clear gulf water. The views from our 17 th floor condo. The condo was clean and had a beautiful view of gulf. We will be back !!

Many issues with this rental

1. A/C not enough to take the moisture out. 2. Hide a key did not work 3. Bed linens were stained 4. Mattress needs to be replaced as there is no support 5. Sliding glass door to patio will not lock 6. Chairs and table on the patio need to be bar height so you can see over the railing while seated. 7. Many of the electrical outlets in the apartment do not work, and some have very lose connections, and that can be a fire hazard. 8. No wash cloths were available in the apartment. 9. Furniture in the apartment is old and tired and needs replaced. 10. Toilet was leaking when we arrived and had to call maintenance.

Room was very outdated

I was so excited upon arrival when I got to room very very disappointed. The room looked like a motel the view on the ocean was Beautiful but not like $1500 I was ripped off in my group there 5 rooms going into there room mad me very up set Im coming back but I wouldn’t select the room

Bed was worst I have ever slept in

My wife and I noticed the bed when we first look into the bedroom. It sagged badly in the middle and had very little support. We both woke up in the morning with back pain that hurt most between the shoulder blades. My wife has never had back pain so this was new territory for her. I told the man downstairs and he took down the information, but said they had no could not help with the bed. The next night we slept on the bed sideways which helped greatly . The first time my wife used the toilet in the master bathroom she was showered with water. When the water hits the drain in the bottom of the toilet is splashes high enough to get the top of the tank wet. This overall was fixable by using the toilet in the half bath. I have video of toilet and pictures of the bed. The shower temperature control was hot when you turned it toward the cold side and cold when you turned it toward the hot side. It was also easy to work when you figured that out. The shower head almost fell off on me, but I was able to tighten up the nut and it stayed tight for the rest of our stay. On the positive side the A/C worked well, the view of the beach was awesome and the unit had great water pressure that stayed hot for our entire shower. This could be a nice unit and place to stay with a little TLC and maintenance.

Sun Destin provided a nice getaway during COVID. We had a beachfront view, full kitchen, and the unit could have easily slept 6.

Awesome View Ruined by Cigarette Smoke and Pot

We were frustrated and disappointed that we could not enjoy relaxing on the balcony due to another unit close by smoking cigarettes and pot.

Worth it

The view was amazing. It was very clean. Kitchen had a lot of stuff to use to make your own meals if you wanted. The location was close to everything.
