Enjoy The Crystal Villas B06 in beautiful Destin. This 1 bedroom, 1. 5 bath unit located on the 2nd floor, offers fabulous views of the Gulf of Mexico. This unit has 1 King, 2 Bunk Beds, 1 Queen Sofa Bed and sleeps 6. With 2 TVs and CD stereo system, you will enjoy all the comforts of home. This cute little condo features large east facing windows in the living room, private balcony overlooking the Gulf, internet access, leather furniture, and a washer and dryer. NOTE: This property does not have an elevator.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Customer service from Vacasa themselves but I expect better from local managers and that Vacasa is thoroughly checking quality of homes before renting them out.

It's an okay place to stay

It's not a bad place, just need to update the place. It showing it's age. There are some areas, like in the laundry/shower room that need better ventilation. The ceiling is starting to sag from it. I will say, the view does make up for it. Being right off the beach was amazing. Just a super short walk and you are on the beach!

Not terrible but not great

This condo needs a massive update. The parking situation was not favorable. People who were trying to access the public beach entrance next door were using the condos parking spaces making it difficult for guests at the condo to find parking. Vacasa did not provide me with the accurate door code which was inconvenient when trying to check in. They also provided the incorrect WiFi password and did not leave me parking passes. Vacasa did correct these issues but there is a disconnect somewhere that needs to be addressed.

Dated but Delightful

We almost cancelled this reservation several times because of all the negative reviews, and I'm glad we didn't. No, this is not a luxury property. And yes, it needs updating (the cabinet doors don't stay closed, the linens aren't great, the carpet in the primary is frankly gross, most of the living room furniture needs to be replaced, etc. etc)... BUT we knew this going in, and what the condo lacks in finishing touches, it makes up for in location, beach access and its balcony overlooking the beach. Having access to a private beach with umbrellas and chairs already set up each day was absolutely key to an enjoyable beach experience. This unit is right next to one of Destin's public access beaches, and watching that area get overcrowded each day was proof that we'd made the right choice. (FYI: If you're not familiar with Florida's new private/public beach access laws, please note that having private oceanfront property is EVERYTHING, particularly if you're traveling with kids!) Our kids are young, so they didn't have any complaints, though teenagers would probably notice all the issues. Long story, short: if you're looking for a luxurious condo, this is not your place. If you're fine with "roughing it" in exchange for beach views and access to a private beach with chairs/umbrellas, I'm not sure that you can find a lower cost property that sleeps up to 6 people. You simply need to get in the right frame of mind: you're paying for access and convenience, not the unit itself.

Two night stay

The unit was not clean; coffee pot had old grinds in it, as well as a pink film from water left behind; fan remote was not working so we couldn’t operate the light or fan speed; and the rail to the top bunk was gone-main reason we rented the unit so the kids could sleep there

Outstanding View

Every morning I thank God I was able to enjoy the white sand and beautiful beaches. The beach was one of my favorite beaches to walk on. God painted some beautiful sunrises/sunsets. Sitting on the balcony and listening to the waves was relaxing.

Gorgeous beach

The area and beach were wonderful!!! The home is nice but definitely could use some tender loving care especially regarding the cleanliness of the floors. Also, all the mattresses/beds were quite uncomfortable (clearly old) and could feel springs in each one we slept in. The pool is behind the building facing the parking lot instead of the beach which isn’t ideal but was still refreshing.

Great location and view of the beach!

I've always loved this location and have stayed at this condo multiple times! I'm not sure if it was owner of the room or how that works but the shower drain was clogged- we had to fix this ourselves to be able to shower as there was sand in the bottom of the tub. The master bed was not comfortable as the one side seemed sunken in or maybe some springs were broken?? Unfortunately the ceiling fan in the bedroom did not work either which is always a must at bedtime! Overall it was clean and had a lot of the things we needed as we like to cook our food there instead of eating out every evening. We also were never provided with the wrist bands that are required and were asked by security to leave the pool area since we did not have those. Contacted vacasa support and still never received those during the duration of our stay.

The location was great. Quick beach access. Some things were not the best. A cabinet in the kitchen was broke, the screens on the patio doors were almost inoperable. The Wi-Fi for our unit didn’t work, we had to have maintenance come out and ended up connecting to a different units Wi-Fi. The master Bed was lopsided and super uncomfortable. Not terrible but could be better for the price.

October 2022 stay

Everything was great. This is our 5th time staying at Crystal Villas. We had ussues w8th the tv in the living room connecting. The one in the bedroom worked fine.

Exceeded Expectations

This condo was perfect. It was in clean condition, right on the beach with a million dollar view. Parking was easy and it is a block over from a cafe as well as a couple of blocks to shops and market. Staff came right over when I had a question about the ceiling fan. I really liked the layout of this unit, with two baths and a laundry/shower room in between. The property does a great job with setting up chaises and umbrellas. My daughter and I had a wonderful time staying here and hope to come back!

Crystal Villas unit 6

I enjoyed my stay overall. But I was a bit disappointed with the unit. There was peeling wallpaper in many places, ceiling texture peeling, the metal furniture was rusty, the lamp shade was torn, and the carpet was filthy.

View

View is absolutely beautiful. Windows from bedroom open easily, so you can hear and see the ocean even from the bedroom. Everything in the actual condo was in good working order.

The place was great. Good location right on beach.

Villa was dated needs updating and some TLC. Wallpaper pealing off he Bathroom wall. Mattress needs to be replaced. Staff was very responsive and took care of problems quickly. Place was really nice except for the afore mentioned things.
