Upon arrival, the guest demanded to cancel despite having booked under a strict no-cancellation policy. She cited the mattress as an issue but declined to allow us the opportunity to address or resolve it. As a courtesy—and to avoid further friction—we released her from the reservation without penalty. Unfortunately, after this goodwill gesture, she filed a chargeback for both the cleaning fee and the nights she had already used, costing us nearly a thousand dollars on top of the lost rent. In total, the financial impact amounted to several thousand dollars—all stemming from a personal preference. This property has hosted guests for well over a decade with consistently positive experiences. It is professionally cleaned, well-maintained, and accurately represented in the listing. Many of the claims made in the review are patently false. There is a light stain on the dining room carpet from a previous guest, but it has been professionally cleaned. Due to HOA regulations, carpeting is required for sound control, and the unit is deep cleaned regularly. The experience described does not reflect the condition of the unit or the experiences of the many guests who have stayed here.
