Our cottage named 'Zillies' is designed for two people to show up and have everything they need for an amazing, carefree visit. High end beach cruiser bikes, kayaks, beach chairs, beach umbrella, beach toys, coolers, Weber grill, linens and beach towels are all included with your rental. Monogrammed sheets and plush towels are just part of the special 'extras' you will enjoy. Its the perfect romantic, relaxing, get away for any couple. Honeymooners love Zillies! 4WD Jeep Wrangler available for rent. Zillies Cottage is not your average rental. Decorated throughout with beach treasures from our travels and art work by our young nieces and nephews its a magical, love filled little cottage. You will be surrounded with more special memories than you will ever know. Zillies also has an amazing outdoor shower which all our guests love (check out the reviews). The shower is decorated with our special beach treasures we've found over the years from around the world . We call it "treasure from foreign lands". :-).

Ocracoke Island is truly a special place and was voted #1 Beach in America by Dr Beach for good reason. Where else can you find 13 miles of 4 Wheel Drive accessible, uninhabited, undeveloped, pristine beaches?

Come see what makes this island special and you will fall in love with the peace and solitude you discover. Spend some time on the island and reconnect with your partner. Zillies rents Saturday to Saturday during the season. Rentals of less then a full week are allowed ONLY in the off season. Please check our calendar for availability.

This charming cottage is an ideal place for one or two people. It has everything you need for a complete stay, all within a tiny yet comfortable space. Walking distance to most restaurants, shops, etc., however, beach cruiser bikes are available too! The queen bed was very comfortable. The linens were high quality. The space was very clean. There a porches upstairs and downstairs on both sides of the cottage with comfortable chairs. I didn't get to use the outdoor shower but hopefully next time!

It’s a lovely place - well outfitted and in a great location. The deck out back is perfect having a few guests over. The balcony was our coffee spot.

Great place for a couple on Ocracoke

This cottage is in an excellent location, within walking distance of most of the fun things to do in the village. There is a local shuttle stop right near it on the street as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here & highly recommend you check it out for your visit to this laid back paradise!

Wish we were staying longer...

The place was quaint, easily accessible and exceeded our expectations. Although we did not have a water view, the location was perfect where it was. Everything on Ocracoke was easy to get to on foot or bike and the weather cooperated perfectly.Our biggest negative is that we did not have more time... maybe next year!

We had such a good time. Getting our large truck in the parking space was a little hectic but we managed. Your place was so cute. The location was great. Hope to stay there again.

Ocracoke like a Pogue!

The house and patio are very comfy in spite of being small. The amenities like bikes and water sports equipment are excellent and make it a great value. We had some storms come through and were unable to take full advantage of these fun things but we will next time!

Terrific in all respects!

Highly recommended for singles or couples! A perfect getaway. Great communication with owner. Cottage was just as described and actually had more amenities than listed. We will definitely be back!!! Thank you Jeff and Wendy for having us as guests at Zillie's Cottage!!

Perfect Cozy Little Cottage for Two

It is exactly as described, perfect for me and my husband! We were celebrating our milestone birthdays and wanted to go somewhere we've never been, so Ocracoke was perfect. Cottage is quaint, cozy, clean, and in a great location. We walked everywhere except the one day we rented the jeep (fun!) to go to the beach. Jeff and Wendy were so great about communicating! *Note, to anyone who has never been: we learned the hard way that you MUST check in to see if the ferry is running aftrr questionable weather. 😀 But it was an adventure.

Great location

Zillie’s is at a great location to access many of the islands amenities. Zillie’s Island Pantry is next door for a convent adult beverage or a few snacks. During the summer a tram stop is also just a few steps away but having access to the on-site bikes was a plus for getting around at this time of year. Kitchen had everything we needed for our weeks stay. The cottage is very tastefully decorated and cozy.

Perfect sized getaway.

Cute little cottage with all the amenities. My husband was amazed at the craftsmanship. Loved riding bikes, although there was quite a bit of water in the roads from all the rain. I won't complain after what the western part of the state has witnessed. Great stay!

Disappointed with cottage but really enjoyed Ocracoke Island

Although this property was conveniently located close to the main road - and had the opportunity to use beach bikes as part of rental - the cottage itself was not very comfortable, the stairs leading to bedroom and only bathroom on second floor were dangerous, and it lacked outdoor privacy and views of anything beyond the nite sky which was lovely from upper deck. The back deck was connected to another property that included rear entrance to venue open daily from 11am-8:30pm and stairs leading to residence above so even though there was a sitting area and fun outdoor shower, you never knew when one of the owners or staff would be passing by or stepping out onto the deck for a break. So beware - the deck is not all that romantic or private and believe the cottage owners should be more transparent about this.

WONDERFUL

The cottage was warm, cozy, clean, and inviting. My wife and I were looking for a place to unplug, and Ocracoke Island was just what we needed. Renting a golf cart to tool around the island, was pure joy. We highly recommend both the cottage, we stayed in, and the island itself.

No electricity most of the stay

Nice place to stay. To no fault of the owner we did not stay the full time due to the power off and not able to get a shower, watch TV or store groceries.

Married for 40 years we enjoy the beach and pretty much anything involving the outdoors. Originally from Maine, we've lived in Williamsburg, Va for over 38 years. Like many folks in the area we arrived here while serving in the military. We would like to say a big thank you to those who continue to serve our great country. We spend as much time on the island as we can because its good for the soul! You will find us wandering around the island pretty much every weekend in the summer. We enjoy boating, clamming, fishing, all of the beautiful beaches and spending time with our island friends. Its just a very special place and we feel blessed to have our cottage on the island. We also love sharing our cottage with our guests. Reading our guest log always makes us smile. Our many repeat guests are extra special to us.

We truly love Ocracoke and after spending many years camping, renting and staying in Bed and Breakfast's we knew we had to get a place of our own. We discovered Zillies and it was the perfect cottage for two . Very private yet close to everything, it was the perfect fit for our lifestyle. Sharing it with our guests has been wonderful. Everyone loves this special little cottage and it makes it fun to read our guest log each weekend when we arrive. The cottage is perfect for honeymoons, anniversaries, special getaways and many of our guests come back each year. Our always growing number of return guests are extra special to us. Zillies truly is a special little cottage on a very special island.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Private yet convenient to the village and all the island has to offer. Everything is provided, all you need to do is show up and relax! You can even rent our Jeep for a fantastic day at the beach. Our guests all love the special decorations we have in the cottage and the outside shower. Zillies in not a typical, generic rental. Our "beach finds" and the artwork by our young family members make is a warm, love filled home. As one guest put it....."you can feel the love in the cottage". Its very important to us that our guests have a great time at Zillies and we will do whatever it takes. We don't want your stay at Zillies to be like renting a hotel room, our goal is to provide you with a warm, welcoming home away from home........... a romantic, relaxing, special time which you will always remember.
