Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains and one mile from the heart of downtown Brevard, home of the white squirrel. White Oak Cottage boasts of two bedrooms, one bath, scenic porch, and a cozy sunroom. Seated in a quiet neighborhood off the main road leading into town, this home is the perfect location for cyclists wanting quick access to both downtown routes and mountainous loops. Only 10 minutes to Pisgah National Forest and 20 minutes to Dupont State Forest offering hundreds of miles of trails for hiking and mountain biking. An open front porch provides scenic views of the mountains and beautiful sunsets. It also has a detached storage space containing a bike rack and room for all your gear. It’s the perfect destination for the outdoor enthusiast who travels with their kayaks, bikes, and outdoor equipment.

From recently modernized shiplap walls and exposed brick, to the new fixtures and appliances, you’ll rest comfortably with both king and queen beds, two TV's with Roku Stick, WiFi, a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, and laundry room, and a rustic, electric fireplace. Enjoy the coffee bar and quiet sunroom in the mornings while utilizing the gas grill in the evenings as you watch the sun set over the gorgeous mountaintops. White Oak Cottage is the perfect getaway.

Home is reserved for guests 27+ years old and their families.

Very clean, beautiful property, very well maintained with attention to detail and equipped with all one can ask for, in a quiet neighborhood. We really enjoyed watching the birds and the squirrels, both white and grey, descend from the oak tree. Highly recommended, especially during the fall.

Rick and Denise are a lovely couple. They even gave me gluten free muffins and brownies, a colorful plant along with birthday wishes for my birthday. Very clean, beautifully decorated and the weather was perfect. They're available at a moments notice for any questions. A perfect stay in the mountains!

It was so great we came back for a second time! We've stayed at 15-20 VRBO's in the last 5 years and this one was the only one we loved enough to come back for a second time. Every thing is perfect: the house is beautifully decorated, well-stocked, and immaculately clean. The hosts are friendly and accommodating. The yard is beautifully maintained, the neighborhood is peaceful, and the location is convenient to downtown. Really, just great all around!

perfect house for a stay in Brevard

Brevard is a great little mountain town, and there are numerous awesome hikes within 20 or so minutes from here. This house is a great home base for a vacation in Brevard and surrounding areas!

From the beautiful furnishings to the comfy mattress to the blueberry muffins, wow! This cottage has been lovingly restored and is a wonderful home base for visitors to the Brevard/Asheville area. Thanks for the hospitality, we will definitely book again!

Great Place!

Me and my family loved staying at this property, it was close to downtown and the house was very cozy and clean. Beautiful scenery and it had everything we needed for a nice long weekend. The blueberry muffins that were provided was a great touch and much appreciated! I wish it had been more private as the construction next door was a bit bothersome, but overall it was a great location.

Wow! Great place!

This is a remarkable place! It is exquisitely clean and excellently decorated. Has everything you would want or need in a vacation stay. Very comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, great location. Hosts were very responsive to messages with kindness and responsibility.

Beautiful spot in the mountains!

Our stay was absolutely perfect. Denise had everything we need and the muffins were delicious. The house was so clean and tidy, this was by far the best rental we have stayed at. We were visiting Brevard for the first time for our friends’ wedding weekend with family and friends. We had a really great time, thank you for making our stay so effortless!

Nice cottage

The owner thoughtfully left me two blueberry muffins, which I greatly appreciated after a long drive. There is some charming woodworking at the cottage, including a small wildlife station outside the dining room window where we frequently saw white squirrels and woodpeckers. The cottage is well-laid out and the kitchen has everything you might need, including a coffee/ tea station. Very clean, with comfortable beds. Overall, a very restful stay over Thanksgiving.

What an adorable place to have a last minute getaway!!

The cottage is beautiful and clean!! Super close by to brevard and lots of amazing site seeing opportunities!! Also fun just hanging out on the porch watching wildlife!! Tons of birds, while squirrels and chipmunks!! My daughter loved it and cried when we left today! We will definitely be going back!!

My Favorite Place to Stay in Brevard

I've stayed here several times and have thoroughly enjoyed my stay every time! This home was recently renovated with high quality materials and finishes. It is very nicely furnished and decorated and the beds are very comfortable. There is an outbuilding for storing and working on bikes. It's also located in a quiet area minutes away from downtown Brevard. Denise and Rick are also very kind and accommodating hosts.

Beautiful and clean!

This home is beautiful and so clean! It is stocked with everything you need plus extras like fresh blueberry muffins and a basket of packaged snacks. The hosts are so kind and helpful. The area is fun with lots of outdoor activities available and Downtown Brevard has a nice downtown area for shopping and dining. We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay at this property again!

Our favorite rental so far!

We absolutely loved White Oak Cottage! We have stayed in many Vrbo rentals, and while we have had nothing but good experiences, White Oak Cottage surpassed anything we have experienced thus far. This little house has been lovingly renovated and decorated down to the tiniest detail. I cannot think of a single thing the owners could do to improve the experience! White Oak Cottage is definitely on our repeat visit list!

Great 2nd stay at White Squirrel Cottage

This is the 2nd year that we have stayed at the cottage. The cottage is exceptionally clean and well organized. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and enjoying the breeze. Denise and Rick are great people and would help with any concern....we had NO concerns as everything is great. It is only a very short drive from town.
