A wonderful place where we spent two months while looking for a house. Barbara is a terrific host!

We had a great time. The unit is very well appointed with a fabulous outdoor space on the deck. We had some trepidation about being so close to the wine tasting room, but it was a fabulous experience! Not loud and the managers were very gracious. The location and accommodation for a couple canā€™t be beat for a stay in Ojai.

The hosts are excellent: they communicate well, are available if needed but invisible and undemanding. Their attention to detail and taste is clear in this well appointed, well maintained, clean space. We found the bed and bedding particularly yummy. The other reviews provided helpful information so we had no surprises. We will definitely try to book whenever we are in Ojai for extended family visits. Thanks again!

It is by far the best small rental property I've stayed. It's small but the space is organised very efficiently and it's very tastefully designed and furnished. The kitchen is small but has everything one can wish for to cook a great meal. well, there is no microwave, which for me is a plus; I hate microwaved food. The location is brilliant: everything that you want to visit in Ojai is within walking distance. Last but not least you cannot but love the owners; Barbara and Sol are very special human beings, who went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible.

The best, cozy retreat in Ojai!

This has to be THE best location in Ojai! We were within very short walking distance to Ojai's best activities, yet were in a peaceful retreat. It is impeccably decorated inside with all the comforts of home. Outside, there is a spacious deck with great privacy and a dining area and a outdoor couch set with plenty of comfortable space to relax. The owner and manager are both amazing people. Easy to access, friendly and dedicated to keeping this place special. We will be back!

Central to everything

My spouse and I came in for February and had a wonderful experience in Ojai. My spouse worked remotely while there and the internet was totally fine for his work and my movie streaming. Barbara is great, she kept in contact and let us know of any gardening work that might be happening, and even let me ship a package to her during our stay. The cozy apartment is perfect for two people.The apartment had soap, garbage bags, foil, detergent, tons of extra towels, sheets, pillow etc...Many VRBO don't offer that. Spotless and simple. The deck area is HUGE and we used it every day. If you want to be in the middle of the action in Ojai then you can't beat this apartment. Ojai is so friendly and easy to navigate and a visitor. lots of good parking. There are concerts or dance music from around the area that you can hear on the deck most nights until 9pm and there is some road noise but not enough to keep us up. We loved being able to stroll around the town each night after dinner. Many nice places to eat and get coffee are just a 1 min walk away. We brought out bikes and rode the Ojai to Ventura bike trail a lot. The trail is the most bike friendly and beautiful I have ever seen. Some things to mention( these are not critiques but things we noticed that may help you prepare for your trip): There isn't a microwave, the kitchen has all the utensils and pans and dishes etc...but keep this in mind if you are used to zapping things to heat them up. The Giant wardrobe is only hanging clothes rods(there are tons of hangers) . The bathroom does not have a door(but does have a curtain) which may not be to everyones liking. These were fine for us and, as I said, this is just to help you prepare for your stay. The towels, linen, mattress and pillows were very good quality and comfy. We would totally rent this apartment again, highly recommend it and working with Barbara is a breeze.

Six Weeks' Stay in Ojai

The studio flat property is perfectly located downtown Ojai. Walking to shops and the post office is easy. There's room for only two people to eat inside, but there's outside lounging and dining on the expansive deck with good umbrella coverage overhead from the intense sun. The kitchen area is well stocked with pots, pans and dishes. The television, situated in the bedroom area, is too small to view comfortably. There's no dedicated parking space, so the car must be parked in Montgomery Street, which is a walk away.

Hosts Barbara & Sol were friendly, accessible & genuinely interested if there was something xtra we might need. Apt was fully - well appointed, off Main drag in town & accessible to everything yet QUIET! Recommend it if looking for an in town Ojai getaway.

The Studio was a natural choice for vacationers, since it is in the heart of downtown, with access to the restaurants, shops, bars, and art scene. There are concerts in the park during the summer, and beautiful pink sunset moments all year round.
