Upstairs has one king bedroom and one queen bedroom. Downstairs has living room with large flat screen cable TV/DVD/VCR, wood burning fireplace, presto logs only please. Dining area, fully appointed kitchen, King bedroom and full bathroom. This home is modern in style and very comfortable for a family or two. Yard includes a picnic table and is just a few blocks from golf and beach. Nearby shopping, public tennis courts, unique shops, ice cream and bakery. Propane BBQ and lawn furniture available. NO PETS! NO SMOKING, MUST BE 25 TO RENT Parking for 4 cars.

The house was spacious, well equipped and clean. Location was great-close to the town center and the Ridge Trail. Checkin process and communication with host was thorough and helpful. We shared a few minor issues with the host; eg, insufficient outdoor lighting, bathtub safety, which affected our rating.

Both Erin and Shirley went out of their way with immediate action to resolve a minor issue. They were very kind and proffessional and it was evident they really wanted us to not just be satisfied but wanted us to experience a great vacation. The interior was recently refurbished and very comfortable. The house was spotless!

Location was great and in a nice quiet neighborhood so it was relaxing. Loved that the kitchen had everything we needed to make and have meals at the home. Checkout process was easy and smooth. We definitely loved our family's time together in this home.

Close to the beach and plenty of space!

This was a fun house with plenty of space and only a short walk to the beach, clean and cozy home, definitely enjoyed our stay.

The home was spacious and well kept. The full kitchen, stocked with as many different pots and pans and griddles and appliances was more than we expected. I don't think I have as many dishes, bowls and gadgets in my own kitchen. Coffee, creamer, spices and condiments were easy to find and well appreciated. Only 5 blocks from downtown and the beach! We had a great time and hope our hosts will have us back.

Quiet neighborhood near beach

Nice quiet neighborhood. Short drive or healthy walk to the beach access. Older property and a little dated, but overall very clean. Lots of space to spread out. The property management company was very helpful. We experienced an issue and they came right out and took care of it.

This was such a great gem to find! Our family was visiting Seaside for a basketball tournament and this was the perfect place. Located between Seaside and Astoria it made traveling to games easy. At the end of the day it was so nice to come back to a peaceful place away from the crowds. Very clean and comfortable. Would absolutely recommend!

Peace and quiet

The location is very serene and close to town and the beach. The rooms were nicely decorated and a good size. We think it was a fair value. The property did smell very musty, however, and the windows had some mildew. Beds were not very comfortable.

First, Erin, the property manager, is amazing. She was responsive and helpful and kind. The home is large and spacious, and the kitchen is well equipped. The beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms were fine. Our only complaint is the grass was full of small nettles that stuck in our shoes, came into the house, stuck to rugs and carpets, and became hidden weapons if you walked on them unknowingly in bare feet. Something should be done about the lawn, where these stinging demons hide. It is extremely dry and in need of care. Other than that, everything else was comfortable.

Overall the home is very dated and needs a good refresh. There really isn't any usable space outside. There was a smell of some kind, maybe from the back of the garage where the dryer vents to that was very unpleasant from the master bedroom.

The town of Gearhart is lovely and I look forward to returning. The location is great being so close to the little town center, the beach, the historic homes. The home had the amenities we were looking for as we were 3 older couples traveling together. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms clean. Two things that were of not listed that we inquired about were blow dryers and beach chairs. After inquiring with management to check they told me if it wasn't listed it probably wasn't there. So, we all packed blow dryers but when we got there, they had wall units for our use. So, that was a helpful discovery. But there were no beach chairs. With the proximity to the sand, I would have liked for that to be provided and maybe beach towels. There were plenty of bath towels, but they were all white and didn't want to take them to the beach. Because we weren't going to be at the house alot, it wasn't too big a deal for us, but the outside could use some love. The grass in the front yard is basically nonexistent, and the ground is covered with stickers. I would be careful with little children or walking barefoot on the yard. It doesn't provide an inviting atmosphere to spend outside on the beautiful days.

Terrific location and neighborhood. The location is what we loved best. It sits in a great area, surrounded by charming and well kept homes. It's close to the ocean, golf and downtown. The house is clean, well equipped and the beds are comfortable. The exterior is looking a bit run down, not as pictured. Overall the home feels dated, aside from a newer couch, and in need of some basic maintenance. The yard is overgrown, taken over by stickery weeds which come into the home and hurt when stepped on. The smoke detector beeped throughout our last night. (Upstairs room nearest the ocean). There were a number of minor things like burnt out light bulbs and loose door handles, that we fixed ourselves during our stay. Overall it is a comfortable place to stay and we enjoyed our family time. However, it's probably time for a little TLC in order to keep it's reviews up.

Nice place neighbors very close

Nice place but neighbors were very close.. The grass in the front yard had some sliver pokey plant all over it so we couldnt use firepit..that was the only downside. Check in process easy and plenty of towels and the beds were comfy. Nice furniture and great setup inside.

Did Not Meet Expectations, Bad Communication

The house was not as listed: 1) The TV was not working. 2) There was no DVD player, and we drought DVDs because of the rainy weather. This was more important because the internet was very slow. 3) The checkout process was not published online before booking. Checkout was challenging. Having to run multiple loads of laundry before getting the keys to the drop off, before 11am in a different City was a stretch. To get everything done in time to check out by 11AM you need to get up by 8AM on your vacation day. This means no time to enjoy the local bakery before leaving the house. With a cleaning fee sufficient to have my entire house cleaned, I would not expect to not have a 1 page long check out list with condescending language. 4) The house was not clean when we got there, at first it was not a big deal, then we kept finding more and more mess. When we contacted the management team about the TV issue, they never got back to us, I gave them a second call to please call me about my stay and have received nothing. (3 weeks) The house was not very safe, the lamp that should be over the dining room table was over a chair. It was dangers for anyone over 6ft. The carpets in the bedroom were not rubber backed on the slick floor, I fell on my rear and almost blacked out. The washer and dryer are in part of the converted garage that needs to be accessed from a locked outside door(in the rain), so you need to be in a coat to do the laundry could be worse. Enjoy...

We are so very sorry you had this trouble, but we’re not sure what number you called. The number listed on all paperwork given at the top and bottom of page in red ink, lists it and it’s posted inside the home, and is In the Vrbo check in info. It has the number to call 24/7 which is my personal cell, so this is a mystery as no calls were received by me. The TV definitely works but was probably just on the wrong input; an easy fix even over the phone. If DVD went missing, we have 4 spares ones in the event one decides to breakdown. As far as laundry, you are only asked to get a load in the wash and then throw in dryer. It asks to please not leave a mountain of laundry as it can inconvenience the next guests. We don’t want stressful mornings at all! I feel frustrated too that these items were very easily fixable with a phone call, but did not receive. I think your stay would have gone more smoothly for you. I could also have answered any questions or concerns you might’ve had regarding checkout. Thank you for letting me know now.
