Why stay in a square, crowded, plain hotel room when you can get out of the box and come experience Aloha in a 3 bedroom local-style cottage? One of the first complexes on Maui's West Side, elite clientele used to fly in, utilizing the airport right across the street at what is now known as Airport Beach, and then pull their suitcases right up the short hill to check in to our units. We love our Hawaiian style golf cart community and so will you! It offers two private pools or walk 5 mins across the road to the beach @Kahekili Beach Park and do some snorkeling or check out a happy hour. Your family will always remember this cottage.

House has a Master bedroom with a queen bed and full, private bath.
2nd bedroom with 2 twin beds that can be combined into a king. 3rd bedroom has a queen size bed.

Kitchen has everything you could need to cook meals at home if you wanted.
BBQ grill.
Washer/dryer
Plus a bonus - huge Lanai with a dining table with comfy rocking chairs and a sectional outdoor sofa with a view of sunsets and the ocean. (our GUESTS’ FAVORITE PLACE)

Guests also have full access to our beach locker with chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, floats, and ice chest. Just please treat it as your own and we will save you a few $100 in rentals.

While the house does have central A/C, it is NOT operational. I highly suggest that you consider giving yourself a chance to really experience the Hawaiiana feel of this community by opening up the windows and doors to catch the trade winds and strong breezes that Maui offers.

Disgusting

The Good:The house is in a great location, just a short walk to the beach. The Lanai was beautiful with great views of the ocean.The Bad: The house was disgusting when we arrived: evidence of the white substance (human excretions) left on the sheets on 2 of the 4 beds, blood stain on the mattress cover, urine on the toilet, scum on and in the refrigerator/dishwasher, dirt and dust on counters and sticky floors that were clearly not vacuumed (I have pictures). There was expired food left in the fridge from the previous guests as well. The oven was missing a knob for one of the burners; the fridge and dishwasher are rusting out. There was a serious bug infestation, requiring wiping the counters multiple times a day and full-sized cockroaches in the bedrooms. There was no communication that someone was coming to spray for bugs. We would have requested not to have toxic spray in the house while here. The host was fast at responding until a refund for this was requested, then nothing. I asked to split our payment between two credit cards and they would not help with this and went radio silent. Then when I expressed my concern about the about the reimbursement, radio silence. Overall, we were not happy about our stay due to the incomprehensible hygienic negligence and poor communication. This house really could be a hidden gem with a little more care.

Cute cottage near the beach

Our family of 6 really enjoyed staying here. There was enough space for everyone and it really is just a 5 minute walk to Airport Beach (also known as Kahekili). We had no problems with cleaniless. The little complex the cottage is apart of is quiet and well maintained. Our family spent a lot of time on the lanai enjoying the ocean view and breezes. We would definietly stay here again.

Great! Everything We Needed

We had a very enjoyable stay at this rental, and it had everything we needed. Great location and well-maintained. It's a little bit outdated, yes, but that didn't bother me at all considering it looked exactly like the listing (even better in my opinion), and was very clean, functional, and still very charming. We really enjoyed eating dinner and watching sunsets on the adorable lanai, and the shared pool in the complex was great! We would definitely rent this place again if we ever return to Maui.

A little disappointing on some levels

Based up previous review, we expected it to be simple, but clean and fully functioning. Surfaces were not all clean, some small things didn't work, and it was very difficult to communicate with the hosts (gave us no local contact email or cell # and VRBO app didn't work for contacting host). It would have been great to have some sort of cottage notebook with info about local areas, beaches, restaurants, and driving distances from house. No local info provided; had to search everything ourselves. Regular VRBO renter with only premier hosts, but this one didn't live up to status.

1st time Maui

this is a perfect location for a first time visit. Great location not right on the ocean just a bit of a getaway, you feel like a Local don’t have to put up with the resort crowds. The house has a really cool funk and a great patio that we would spend the night playing cards and doing family socializing, I would highly highly recommend

Perfect stay

We had an amazing time at this cute cottage. Nic and Betsy were very accommodating. How to enter was super easy. We enjoyed the Hawaiian weather like they suggested. It was nice and cool at night, we just kept the fans blowing through out the day and night. We appreciated the beach accessories that were provided and were able to take what we needed for days. The pool was fun and helped keep the little ones busy. Overall, we would definitely come back to this spot and also recommend to others. Thank you for everything! We had a great stay!

The Place to Stay!

We had the most enjoyable family vacation, spending two weeks at the cottage. Upon arrival, the check-in process was easy and we found the cottage to be well stocked with everything we needed including a full kitchen and plenty of linens including beach towels. The popular hangout was on the lanai where we had a great view of the ocean and enjoyed whale watching. The beach closet is packed with everything you need including chairs and snorkel gear. The cottage does not have a/c but we always had a breeze and the owner provides fans for additional air flow. The community is quiet with friendly neighbors, the pool is just a few steps away, and parking is easy. If this property is on your radar don’t hesitate!

Comfy Cottage!!

This was a great location and very comfortable for him my family’s vacation! The less than 10-minute walk to the Kaanapali Beach was the best! The pool and shuffleboard were so much fun, right down the walkway! Comfortable beds and awesome outdoor living area!

Less than ideal

Hi, I am not a writer and I deliberated whether to write a review. However after one too many times answering the question, "how was your trip to Maui?" I've decided to post a review. The main reasons being my answer to that question did not illicit a feeling of ease and relaxation as I would have expected from the trip, and I would have wanted to know my experience with the other posts. My intent here is to be fair and honest. I'll break down the review into 3 areas: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. So here goes... The Good: -The owners were swell prior to and during the trip. They were helpful and responsive to VRBO messages about the island -The kitchen sink had hot water and high pressure. -The cottage location is convenient - beach access is a 5 min walk across a four lane highway and local shopping & dining options are super easy. The setting is relaxing - classic old-school with a clean refreshing pool. The cottage layout provides good space - three rooms and a lanai allowed for separation when needed. The furnishings, appliances were functional, and WIFI was always available. -Good natural air flow The Bad: -The twin beds were hard and the queen beds were very soft. The towels, sheets and blankets are well used. No working television. -Only one shower could be used at a time due to weak water pressure and no sustained hot water. -The washing machine/dryer worked as expected and hopefully you won't run across any mature cockroaches as we did. -Ceiling fan in kids room creaks to loud for use. -Broken patio chair and worn furniture throughout the house The Ugly: -Small to medium sized cockroaches in the kitchen. (i've got video and pictures :( Summary: I get and accept this is island life as the incessant lazy flies became a flyswatter game for the kiddos. Or the pretty green gecko that welcomed us many times. But when I have to kill three cockroaches before we start cooking for a dinner it takes some of the pleasure out of things. Sadly this was not an isolated incident (but fortunately none were large the size of a domino). For those that are wondering, yes we contacted the owners and the reply was the best they could do...they offered to have an exterminator come to the cottage and spray. However I didn’t like the idea of spraying while we were there. We made the best of our accommodations but in the end, bottom line not worth the rental fee and definitely not worth coming back to. COVID-19 getaway to Maui

The cottage at International Colony Club was the perfect setting for our get-away to Maui. We were a bit nervous traveling during the pandemic, and the cottage was the best solution to providing a safe atmosphere where we had our own place rather than staying at a larger resort or condo. The cottage had everything we needed - plenty of space, a full kitchen and outdoor BBQ so we had the option to do our own meals, rather than going out (although we did go out to dinner 2 nights in Lahaina and everyone followed the Maui rules and the service and food was great!), access to 2 pools basically to ourselves when we were not at the beach, and delightful neighbors in the cottage across from us. I would highly recommend this cottage and would definitely come back again. It is not a fancy place or resort, but provides a relaxing atmosphere and everything we needed to make this the best trip during this terrible pandemic!

Spring break - before closings

We absolutely loved this cottage. It was the perfect size for our two families...4 adults and 2 teenagers. It was quiet, clean and everything the description describes. The teenagers loved the pool. Super easy to get to grocery stores/surfing spots/snorkeling. Owners were very easy to communicate with. We absolutely stay here again! Thanks Nic!

Cozy cottage feel......

Our family of five just stayed at the Mango Maui Cottage for nine days and it was delightful... rustic charm right in the middle of paradise... so close to the Kaanapali beach area that we loved. Sunsets were Devine. The cottage had everything one needed... great kitchen facilities, the open lanai was incredible, lots of beach towels, chairs and umbrellas. We rented snorkel gear at the Westin for a reasonable cost for the week. Overall a great location and property....would stay again.

Nice Cozy place, good beach access

Overall nice property. We enjoyed hanging out on the Lanai in the evening, access to the beach, availability of beach chairs in the house and the overall comfort of the home. One room was hot and we weren’t able to get it cool with the supplied fans and the AC in the house was off. One of our group felt that the floors weren’t very clean when we arrived but the whole group didn’t feel that way. The property owner/manager was great and communicated well and wanted to be sure we were happy. Checkin and out was easy. Beds were significantly softer than we were used to, but that all fine and they were comfortable. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. The place is a good 35 min from central Maui and we did a lot of driving as a result.

This cottage is GREAT!

Our family stayed for nearly a week at this wonderful cottage in the heart of Kaanapali. the three rooms and two bathrooms were perfect for our small family and the deck / lanai was incredible at night. It is a five minute walk to the beach for snorkeling , walking the beach or just catching some rays. There are two pools on the property also! The only downside was the lack of A/C but the owner has ample fans to circulate the air inside. This property is really great and I will recommend it to family and friends visiting the island in the future.

Adorable Hawaiian cottage

This home was a perfect place to experience all the beauty of Maui. Was completely stocked with everything we needed. Large kitchen and a great outside patio. Though the air conditioner wasn’t working during our stay, the several fans made due. Will definitely visit again soon!

VACATION PERFECTION!!

I cannot thank Nic enough for the hospitality and consistent and helpful communication! As much as I would love to keep this place a secret, it's definitely worth sharing! We had 6 family members consistent of 3 generations traveling together and this home was so wonderful. The beds were soooo comfy, the living room and kitchen were perfect for our family and when we hosted guests for dinner with more than ample room. The lanai - our favorite place for breakfast, coffee, evening wine and talking story. Plenty of sitting to kick back and relax and a nice breeze to get out of the heat. During our stay we did not have air conditioning with temperatures in the mid 90's every day - we thought we would bake but we were quite surprised at how much air flow the home has in the evening. We opened everything up and turned on the fans and did just fine. It's a 5 minute walk to the beach and the amount of gear at the home to borrow is incredible. Boogie boards, pool toys, snorkeling gear - you name, they have it. The kitchen was stocked with all you need to cook and even had spices and extras which was so helpful. The property is perfect and quiet with a wonderful pool to play in once the beach gets old. We will be staying here again and again and again. Thanks so much!

Magical Maui at the mango Bungalo

What a. Great tranquil place, so close to everything, we strolled down the road to a great beach, , snorkeled with turtles , enjoyed every minute of each day , We had great walks and sunsets each evening,. The house is set up with an outdoor living feeling, it truly feels Hawiian, I like lived in Hawaii for 23 years so returning to this beautiful mango Bungalow or Condo was exactly what my wife and I wanted and needed to have . Awesome Property

We had our best vacation ever at this place!! This was so much better than staying in a condo. This home is located in the best part of Kaanapali. Right across the street from famous Airport Beach, which has the best snorkeling on Maui. We walked there almost every day. They provided all the beach chairs, boogie boards, beach toys etc that we could have wanted. The ocean view from the lanai offered spectacular sunsets. The house was well furnished and very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the outdoor lanai with the huge grill. There was plenty of parking spaces and only a few steps from the house. There are 2 spacious pools on property that we basically had to ourselves. We are definitely coming back!

What a gem, just like how Hawaii vacation cottages should be.

We were lucky to find this cottage for our first trip to Maui, it was like our home away from home. It was the perfect place for our family of 5 to enjoy and explore paradise. Close to everything but away from the box resorts crowds. It had everything we needed to prepare/enjoy meals together as a family. Lots of beach gear also super close to Lahaina and Whalers Village for dinner. All in all we were more than impressed with this home. Very responsive owners, friendly neighbors, clean , spacious, quiet, amenities and proximity to a our Top snorkel Beach was walkable. Pools where almost private and just like the other reviews we to spent almost all of time , relaxing, playing cards, drinking coffee and having evening wine on the large Patio! We did add the $18 extra for A/C however hardly ever used it, We opened all the windows and really enjoy the cool breezes. If you trying to figure out where to stay on the westside of Maui and want something private, safe, and has that personal Hawaiian feel then book this place. Betsy even blocked some time on the calendar for next year making this our home away from home. Counting down the Days Betsy & Nic. Aloha

All we can say is wow! Perfect, had everything, home away from home.

Cottage #1 was the perfect place for our stay on Maui! It’s private and cozy, surrounded by beautiful grounds and other one-level units, located only a few steps from Kaanapali beach. The cottage had everything we needed-kitchen supplies, beach items, snorkeling equipment-and it was nicely decorated. There was space to hang out and watch the huge TV and eat inside, but why would you want to with such a gorgeous lanai to hang out on?! We spent many afternoons and evenings napping, watching sunsets, and playing games around the table with family. The unlimited WiFi is amazing and super fast too, perfect if you’re stuck working remotely in paradise. We would highly recommend this property and will definitely stay here again when we return to Maui.

Nic and Kristen are originally from Arkansas and relocated to Maui almost 9 years ago. We have lived full time in our cozy cottage with our 2 kiddos since purchasing the home a few years ago. We love our quiet community and our friendly neighbors, but new adventures are calling us over to Kona. We wanted others to experience our amazing place.

When we moved to Maui, some friends of ours were living in another unit in this community. We loved visiting them so much that we knew that one day we would love to live in here as well. We eventually found a rental in here ourselves and that cemented our desire to purchase a cottage of our very own to raise our family in.

The convenience of ICC cannot be beat! We love the central location, with several restaurants within walking or close driving distance. It is also an easy drive to both Lahaina and Kapalua. Airport Beach is not to be missed and we love spending sunny afternoons enjoying the water and the sand or lounging in the grassy areas or enjoying beach BBQ with family and friends.
