The location was fantastic, the ocean just about 20 meters from the back patio. The property was dated and needs to be brought into the 21st century. On entry I noticed the light switches needed to be changed, one of the knobs was missing and another was kind of popped out of the wall.First, in the living area, there is a huge glass sliding door with large glass pane windows on both sides, on itself this was great because it gives you a panoramic view of the ocean. The issue is that there was no covering i.e. curtains or blinds, so whoever had to sleep on the sofa bed was totally exposed to whoever walked past. This was also true if you and your family were having dinner. In other words, there is no privacy from public view. There was also a bay window for plants in the kitchen with no way to close off, which allow anyone passing by to see right through the house day or night 24/7. The laundry room off the kitchen is not vented properly because every time we ran the dryer, the heat coming out set off the smoke detector. Second, because the master bedroom faced the ocean, the view was also great. However, the stone floor in the shower was a little tough to stand on. The other two bedrooms were ok.On two occasions, we woke up to a live rodent in the sticky trap in the kitchen. This absolutely did not go well with my wife and daughter. All in all, I give the property 3 ½ Stars. Would I rent this property again, yes, but only if some serious upgrades are made.
