Located near South Seas Island Resort on beautiful Captiva Island, Beach Villa 2428 is a nicely updated condo that overlooks The Gulf of Mexico. This unit has everything you need to make your tropical vacation a peaceful and relaxing one! With two bedrooms, two baths and a sleeper sofa, this unit can sleep up to six guests comfortably.



**THIS PROPERTY IS NOT AFFILIATED WITH SOUTH SEAS ISLAND RESORT. RENTAL DOES NOT INCLUDE, AND DOES NOT PROVIDE ACCESS OR ENTITLEMENT, TO ANY SOUTH SEAS AMENITIES. HOWEVER, YOU DO HAVE ACCESS TO THE COMMUNITY POOL OUTSIDE OF THE UNIT. **



CONDO FEATURES

Captiva Beach Villa 2428 features an open floor plan in the main living area, that allows you to enjoy views of The Gulf without having to leave your private lanai. The master bedroom is equipped with a king bed, smart TV, and en-suite bathroom, while the guest bedroom has two twins, smart TV, and a bathroom in the main living area. If you’re not enjoying a day out on the famous white beaches of Captiva, go enjoy a dip in the community pool, picnic with the family at the community BBQ grills, or bike around the beautiful island! 3-night minimum stay.



The Beach Villas offer access to 3 swimming pools and gas BBQ grills. This is a privately-owned property located near the gates of South Seas Island Resort and is not subject to Resort Amenities but offers many shops and restaurants within walking distance that are open to the public. However, full South Seas Amenities are not available we do provide access to our sister resort, Tween Waters Inn and Marina.

Great ocean view!

Great location on the island. Gated community but a five minute bike ride to town shops etc. unit was clean and comfortable.

Family beach trip

This was the perfect property for our family trip! It was so clean, kitchen stocked with everything we needed, and the location was just steps from the beach. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, everyone had the personal space needed to keep even teenagers happy. The screened in porch was so luxurious to read on at sunset and enjoy a quiet cup of coffee in the mornings. We needed to contact the host due to a power outage and they were professional and very responsive. My family will definitely be back!

Wonderful time on Captiva Island

We have enjoyed many visits to Captiva Island but this was first since Hurricane Ian. Our unit was in wonderful condition - very attractive and well-supplied with kitchen equipment. We planned to mostly eat in given that not as many restaurants are up and running. We spent our days walking the beach and closely observing the osprey pair on their nest and their favorite perching tree right next to our screened porch.

Another Great Captiva Stay

We love this location. It’s our 4th or 5th time staying in Captiva. We prefer the south end Beach Condos. The unit worked well for our family of 5. It had a big couch which turned into a sleeper sofa. Some of the restaurants were open, but some were still closed. We went to Sanibel for other options too. It was a great week. There is alot of construction going on. We just hope the new plans don’t change the relaxed setting we love at South Seas.

Cute place, Perfect location-close to two pools & quick walk to beach. Great stay for our family of 5. Furniture dated, but clean. Well stocked kitchen, however left little space for food. Overall great stay highly recommend.

Immaculate on Beach

This property was quiet and immaculate with a direct view of the sunsets over the Gulf side, and direct beach access. It was insanely well equipped and very close to Starbucks and the little shops and post office. It is quite a long way to central Sanibel (30 minute drive to dine at Malia), so take that into account. This stretch of Captiva beach will delight beach and ocean lovers. Beautiful white sand.

Beautiful Captiva Unit

This unit was very nice, it was spacious and had a wonderful kitchen. It is close to the restaurants so you can walk to them, if you know Captiva all parking is at a premium on the island. The kitchen was amazing. We do eat at our favorite places when we go to Captiva but also like to cook some and everything was very nice and all in working order. The beach chairs and umbrella and towels were all fabulous extras without paying the resort fees :) We would highly recommend this unit and will definitely be staying there again.

Great experienxe

We wanted to stay a little longer past our yearly one-week timeshare on South Seas and this property worked great for 3 adults and 2 small children. The pools and beach were easily accessible and it’s a quick walk to Starbucks in the mornings. Our only complaint would be the sleep sofa- the mattress was super thin. Would not recommend for an adult to sleep on. Property management team was great and very accommodating to a special check-in request we had.

Enjoyable Stay Despite Setbacks

Our stay was very enjoyable despite a couple big setbacks. Condo was decorated very nicely, with the exception of a stained bathtub. The condo was clean with the exception of a fair amount of sand in the living room. Since this is a beach condo, it was not the end of the world. Location was terrific. Everything we could possible need was less than a 5 minute drive away. We loved the screened-in porch from which we watched the sunset over the water each night. WiFi was glitchy, so watching TV was sometimes challenging, but I didn’t come for the TV and internet so I wasn’t bothered. The stay would have been perfect had it not been for a couple setbacks: 1) The elevator was broken. I understand that much of the island is still recovering from Hurricane Ian, however I wish this was included in the listing. I found out the elevator was not working only a few days prior to my trip, at which point I could not find another option as everything was booked. This was a big setback because I am pregnant, am towing a 16 month old, and was traveling with my parents (one of whom has a bad back and a double knee replacement). There was a total of 28 stairs plus a platform. 2) There were not enough beach chairs/umbrellas for all of us. For a two bedroom, I was expecting 4 chairs and 2 umbrellas. There were only two chairs and one umbrella so we had to rotate. There was also no beach cart or way to carry the beach chairs and umbrella to the beach. This was challenging for us.

Amazing View and Spacious

My family and I stayed three nights at this unit and had a wonderful time. The view from the Lanai was amazing and we felt that we had enough space for our toddler. The unit was also clean and check in/out process was easy. Also we had access to the amenities at tween waters resort which was great!

Very deceptive pricing!

The unit we rented was well kept except for the A/C unit which was filthy. Otherwise clean and tidy. However, the BIG negative of this experience was the very misleading pricing. The room rate was advertised at a specific "daily rate". I originally included the dollar amount of the daily rate but my review was flagged as that is not allowed per the VRBO guidelines. So I then had to edit and amend my review. Bottom line, the final invoice after the outrageous fees amounted to a nightly room rate in excess of 67.92% above the original quoted "nightly rat"!!! I was shocked that they charge (and hide) such a large amount of fees. Although legal I’m sure, it appeared to be a classic bait and switch that succeeded. They got me once but will never do it again. Live and learn I guess.

We had a wonderful time.

We had a wonderful time. Tennis, biking and beach every day. The screened porch was a great space with great views, including a tree just outside frequented by an osprey. It is a wonderful condo with everything we needed, well maintained, updated with great tennis courts. Sounds form other condos minimal. As above, the only deficit is lack of laundry in the unit and lack of transparency about this. Need to tell people to bring quarters if you plan to do laundry. And of course the function of the machines was spot I would suggest that you all either assure renter's know to bring quarters or offer to include them in the rental pick up for the appropriate fee. $2 per washer or dryer. Once you get past Jerry's, it's really hard to get enough.

Lovely and clean getaway

We have always stayed in South Seas in Captiva. This beach villa is by far the cleanest place we have been in! The view is perfect and just a very short walk to the beach! We cannot wait to go back!

Will not book with VRBO again

Property is beautiful but with booking with VRBO you do not have access to all the beautiful amenities in the island.

If you want to relax and just enjoy the beach and Mother Nature this is your place. Property was so clean and nice inside. Would recommend you get all your groceries before you get to Captiva. Only one place to get stuff on the island and it’s pricey;) would def come back!

We loved the villa.

We loved the villa. Very well maintained. Nice details (although the star handles kept coming off). It had all the utensils needed to cook and not go out for anything. The beds were clean and the bathrooms too. Great help and support. Paulina was very helpful! Thank you for making vacation during a pandemic a breeze! We needed it! :) Cant wait to go back.
