Newly remodeled 4 bedroom 3 bathroom family home. 1 car garage and 2 car covered carport. Enclosed lake view porch overlooking lake and Inks Lake State Park, side deck view overlooking lake and Colorado river below Inks Dam. Beautiful well maintained lawn with covered boat dock and swimming area. Separate AC systems for upstairs and downstairs. Water treatment system that delivers potable water. Water from spigot on kitchen sink goes through a reverse osmosis filters to produce excellent drinking water.
UPDATE: Sadly Inks Lake has been invaded by zebra mussels. We have invested a large amount of resources to insure continuous and safe delivery of water to the house and the lawn. This is an ongoing battle for all lake owners and will be for some time. Because of this it is imperative that you swim with water shoes. We are doing our best to minimize the impact of the zebra mussels around the dock and the swimming areas. The safest place to swim is on the left side of the dock as you face the lake. We will be putting down water blankets again this year to fight off weeds, algae, and the zebra mussels in these areas.

Relaxing stay at Inks for a camp Longhorn pickup. ! Property is situated right on the lake with great view. Everything was perfectly clean and orderly and communication with the owners was easy and quickly responded to. We would definitively stay here again!

The house is beautiful and clean. The kitchen is well equipped. We enjoyed our stay very much. The lake view is amazing from the living room and the porch. Our son-in-law caught some bass and that was a good surprise!!

Summer Family Fun!

There is no better place to be than in Inks Lake during a hot Texas summer. Three generations enjoyed family time together at the lake. The house is on a beautiful part of the lake and is very comfortable for a big family. Thank you!

Wonderful view and lake side

From the start of our trip to the end it was amazing. This was our family trip this year and the kids really enjoyed swimming by the doc and taking the kayak out(first time for everything) they enjoyed it and weā€™re not ready to leave. John was so helpful from the start. We fished out there as well. We had a few guest visit once in a while (deer). We all enjoyed our stay and the view from downstairs room was amazing I would definitely stay again

Private and stunningly beautiful place right on the water

This place by far exceeded our expectations. Very cozy, clean and quiet house. Amazing location, right on the water but high enough on the shore to have fantastic views of the Hill Country. The water in the lake was much cleaner than anyone expected. Fishing, swimming and kayaking were all fantastic. Friendly host, quick communications, and detailed check-in and check-out process documents. Easy drive to Austin for anyone who needed to show up in the city for work during the week. Can not recommend highly enough!

Ideal House for Eclipse trip

We were are a group of seven who have been friends for 45 years. We booked this place based on it's location for the total lunar eclipse. It is right on a lovely lake, minutes from Inks Lake State Park where other friends camped. It's near Longhorn Cavern (highly recommend). This was the perfect place to hang out, cook, and laugh with plenty of space for all of us. The house and property had everything we needed! I highly recommend it. The morning we were to check out there was a tornado watch and it was really storming out. John, our wonderful host, let us check out late and told us where in the house we should shelter in should the tornado watch become a warning.

Beautiful Property

First getting in touch with the property owner was really easy when I had questions about booking. He is a very nice guy and I like the fact that he was available to us. When we got to the house we walked down to the lake and enjoyed the view for a while before unpacking. Everything was so well-kept and clean- yes even the outdoor areas and there are plenty of them! The bed and bath in the downstairs was really nice and private and you can open the shades where the sliding doors are to see a wonderful view especially in the morning. We all enjoyed the kayak and had a lot of fun on the very spacious property. Again, if we had questions the property owner was available and it was convenient! The bathrooms were well stocked and all of the bedrooms felt very "homey." The kitchen had everything we needed. In every cabinet of many we found things that we needed for cooking which was refreshing. There have been some rentals that didn't have basic items! There were TVs in some of the bedrooms and having a Fire Stick was cool. The internet worked which helped with having to work some over the weekend. I could sit on the patio off of the dining area even in the heat of the summer and be comfortable and enjoy the view. We all enjoyed our time together as a family as summer is coming to an end. Thank you so much for blowing our expectations.

We've rented and stayed at many, many places and this is by far the absolute best service we've ever received from the owner, John. The home itself is "lakehouse cozy" and had all the amenities you'd expect or need. We enjoyed playing cards around the big dining room table, swimming in lake (bring water shoes!) and lots of great fishing! The beds were comfy, the kitchen had all the supplies we needed to cook a few meals, and the downstairs bedroom offered the perfect privacy setup for the couple without kids. Would absolutely recommend Granite View to anyone wanting to visit Burnet!

Great Family Spring Break Getaway

John was very responsive. Loved the peaceful lake, we spent lots of time kayaking, life vests are aplenty. Also visited Inks lake state park and Canyon of the eagles. Would have been great to have a second kayak or stand up paddle board. Loved the sun room which is within earshot of the boat dock. Kitchen very well stocked. 4th bedroom was not accessible despite being in the description, didnā€™t bother asking since weā€™ve already settled in, would have been good to get access as a spare room for the infant. Master toilet flush was *very* hard to engage, but made do. These are minor quibbles, and we would definitely rent again.

Family lakehouse

The house was a great fit for us and our two young children! They had lots of toys and the trundle bed was perfect for our 2 year old. The house had everything we needed and we were happy that they had life jackets for all ages. John was a great communicator and easy to work with. Definitely plan to bring water shoes for swimming in the lake--your feet will thank you. Would recommend this property for a future lake getaway.

I am a proud Native Texan that enjoys spending their spare time traveling, golfing, fishing, hiking, and kayaking. This lake home has been in our family over 40 years. I love sharing what the Texas Hill Country has to offer. There are many excellent places to swim, hike, camp, eat, golf, and of course Vineyards to visit.

Our family started visiting Inks Lake Village when I was 14 (1967). My parents fell in love with the area and planned to retire there. Within a year they purchased their lake home in Inks Lake Village. In a few years they purchased 1.5 lots and had their retirement home built. I have spent hundreds of weekends on Inks Lake fishing, swimming, boating, kayaking, water skiing, hiking, and just enjoying the beauty of the Texas Hill Country. After obtaining the property we decided to remodel and make the place more to our taste and appealing to our future guest.

O que faz essa propriedade ser Ćŗnica?

We love coming here and watching the sunrise over the lake on the front porch and the sunset on the side deck. The wildlife is amazing and we regularly see deer, foxes, lizards, and a variety of migratory birds (Seagulls, Pelicans, Canadian geese, Ducks and Cranes of all kinds, plus a host of non water fowl). We also enjoy people watching as families cruise by in their boats pulling skiers or tubers with their kids screaming and laughing as they have a good time. Across the lake is Inks Lake State Park which is also very beautiful and serene. The rock formations throughout the area are beautiful and seem to change as the sun move across the sky. At the end of the day and as things quiet down we enjoy sitting on the side deck with wine glass in hand and watch the sunset and wildlife. We have many happy memories here and hope you can create your own happy memories.
