This place was so lovely, we showed up when it was dark out and all the lights were left on for us so we didnā€™t have to walk in the dark. The decor and vibe was very cozy and the view was amazing! The host was great at communicating with us different restaurants they prefer, we highly recommend this cute cozy cottage!

Lovely spot on the lake. View from the sunroom and hot tub was fabulous. Very clean, very easy to find and get in and out of, everything was in good condition. We'd love to come back in the summer to enjoy the fire pit and the yard.

Cozy cottage with everything you need. Amazing view of the lake and sunrise and nature. Cottage was clean and thoughtfully stocked with games, books, cookware, extra blankets and pillows. Best thing was the hot tub. Sitting in there at night with a ten degree temp and a light snow was relaxing and magical. We were lucky enough to view the full moon which I dont think was included in the amenities but was a nice touch. A perfect home base for enjoying the wine/breweries and all local restaurants. Highly recommend and plan to return to enjoy during summer months.

House was incredibly clean. Decorated very nicely. Hot tub worked perfectly as well as all appliances were in working order. Photos were completely accurate and host was extremely timely in communication. Would absolutely stay again!

Host was very accommodating to questions and gave us a lot of info as it was our first time to the area. The location was great as we were right in the middle of the wineries. The property is quaint and snuggly. The views from the hot tub are well worth it.

We enjoyed our stay at this quaint little cottage on the lake. Loved the charming decor and cozy atmosphere. The kitchen is stocked with everything needed to prepare your meals. We enjoyed the very nice neighborhood for evening walks and nearby hiking trails with lovely fall views.

Wonderful for our visit to Finger Lakes wine country! The homeā€™s deck overlooking Seneca Lake was relaxing. Home was equipped with anything we needed. Comfy beds, kitchen for small meals. Excellent communication with owners. Throughly enjoyed our stay!

We had a nice stay. Nice view overlooking the lake. Nice fire pit near the water. A little disappointed with the accuracy of the photos. Bedrooms were very small. The photos looked like they were from years ago. Brush was overgrown and less open feel then what the photos showed. Oven needs to be replaced. One stove top burner didn't work at all and really couldn't tell what temperature the oven was baking at. Some mold in the washing machine. Other then that the place was clean and generally well maintained.

Beautiful location, great view in a quiet area. Walking distance to a beautiful park! Easy check in & out! Only downfall was the AC units were loud at night, turning them off made it a little to warm. Over all, cute stay! Hot tub was beautiful at night looking over the lake.

We stayed at the Savannah house a few years ago and have been hoping to have the chance to rent another property owned by Pat so when I realized this was, I was thrilled. The personal touches and b&b feel of the properties is extremely charming & welcoming. We had a great stay! This is a beautiful property, within close proximity to several of our favorite local wineries/food spots, lake access for the dog and a provate dock. The house is well kept and very clean; the pictures accurately reflect the accommodations. Pictures cant quite capture the beauty of the view of the lake, though. We comfortably fit with 2 adults and one dog. Just a heads up, the bedrooms are a little tight but again, pictures are an accurate reflection. If youre traveling with large suitcases or if the guests are on the larger size, it might be a little difficult to manuever. The beds were equally comfortable. I would recommended and absolutely stay again as the bedrooms were not a drawback for us; rather a cozy spot to recharge after a fun filled day. We stayed at the Savannah house a few years ago and have been hoping to have the chance to rent a dog-friendly property owned by Pat, so when I realized this was, I was thrilled. The personal touches and b&b feel of the properties is extremely welcoming.

Finger Lakes getaway

The water view was impressive minus the ugly old boat next door. The exterior of the property could use some attention, maybe a good power wash? The interior was cute but the bathroom seemed made for kindergartners. Everything was way too short!The bedrooms were so small you could barely get around the bed. There was a heating grate in the middle of the floor that didnā€™t seem safe to step on, so we had to step over it whenever we went to the living room.The hot tub was a nice perk. The bedrooms

The location was great. My husband wanted to fish but couldn't use the dock it was unsafe and falling apart. The inside of house was very dated. The couch was very uncomfortable and bedrooms very small and the one door didn't even close. There were no coverings on living roomwindows so either very cold or very warm when sun was out. We were so unhappy w accommodations didn't even stay the 2nd night

Concern for safety

Safety First: Going from the kitchen to the main living area you had to walk over a metal grate that covered a large opening in the floor that sagged when you stepped on it. There was no way to avoid this grate. It was a tripping hazard. Another tripping hazard was walking from the living area to the enclosed porch. There were different heights at the threshold that could be dangerous. Once on the deck, was a hot tub that took up half the deck. The deck was extremely worn that with the weight of the hot tub with people was an accident waiting to happen. At the very least your feet or hands would easily get splinters. The stairs going from the deck to the water was also in poor condition. Inside these rooms, mainly the kitchen and bathrooms were in need of a new paint job. The paint and wallpaper were peeling badly. Also, a quick trip to the Dollar Tree for kitchen items such as plates, silverware, tea kettle would be a big upgrade. The bedrooms were very small and there was no room to dress between the beds and the wall. To start the visit on a negative note: Check in was 4:00 PM and checkout was at 10:00AM. When I asked the host if we could have an earlier check in by 1 or 2 hours, She said it would cost us 25 per hour, plus tax. . Even fine hotels let you check in early for free if cleaned. So much for customer service. On the plus side parking was good and the view was spectacular. With a little TLC this place COULD be a gem on the lake

Perfect sunrises

We stayed here a few years ago and loved it. This visit was the same. Great location mid-way between Watkins Glen and Geneva. Eclectically decorated and very nicely maintained. Kitchen is well equipped. Strong wifi. Beautiful view looking east over the lake. Watching the sunrise is a must!!

I'm married with two children (a girl and a boy) and I work with a small technology company in Fairfax County VA. I'm also a partner in a family run inn that sits just 7 miles south of our cottage, overlooking Seneca Lake. I grew up in northern Virginia, outside Washington, DC, and graduated from George Mason University. My family has had a cottage on Seneca since 1930 (my grandparents), and our whole family has a great attachment to the lake. Since I was a child, it was a dream of mine to one day have a place for my own family on Seneca Lake. In 2007 we made that dream a reality, and now we would love to share this beautiful spot with you!

I love Seneca Lake and I wanted to have my own cottage, just as others in my family do. This area happens to be one of the most choice locations on the whole lake. It has easy access all year, an awesome view of the lake, lots of privacy, and plenty of land to add on in the future. It's also one of the most convenient locations to the wineries and to shopping.
