Your dream vacation awaits in this spacious, beautifully decorated, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home. Location:

The house is located on the Plantation Golf Course and less than 200 yards from the restaurants and entertainment of Big Bay Creek including Dockside Restaurant, Edisto Seafood, Briny Swine, Edisto Watersports and Tackle, Edisto Bike Rentals and Pressley's at the Marina. The beach is a 10 minute walk or quick ride along the bike path on the side of Docksite Rd.

Amazing!!! Our family spent hours relaxing on the front porch & enjoyed watching Fourth of July fireworks from the porch also. Best view on the golf course, property was clean, and the kitchen is fabulous! This is our second stay here and we will definitely be back!

There were no sheets or pillowcases. They were left for us to make up our own beds. I have never encountered this before. I think it’s pretty shoddy!!

Wonderful house

The views are spectacular and the location is excellent. There are no direct neighbors yet the house is right in the middle of everything. Our kids loved playing in and around the house and being able to watch the golfers. It was clean and well appointed, a perfect getaway for our family. We will return!

It was fine

Many things broken. Kitchen not well stocked for cooking at the house. It wasn’t awful but least favorite place we’ve stayed at Edisto in 20 years.

Lovely and clean home--great stay

I have stayed in Edisto at various places over the last 30 years and this was definitely the cleanest and nicest. It has been well cared for and maintained. It has a fantastic, modern kitchen, large living room, and two spacious baths. The master bedroom is massive. The sell for us was the front porch which looks out on the Marsh and the businesses at the entrance of Ocean Ridge. Even though it's the first house you see on the left as you enter the development, it takes a while and several turns to get to it. I would love to stay there again. We had a group with ages between 1 and 85 and we felt safe and secure and were able to relax. We were there in July 2019.

Better than expected! Private

Wonderful house, front porch & beautiful views! The house is so much bigger than I expected as previous reviews read it was a 1 family household. Comfy beds & sheets,comforters. There was plenty of room! Loved that we didn’t have neighbors. We did have an issue w the kitchen sink leaking/not usable, but the owner let us know that would be fixed asap. Great communication. The only suggestion to guests is bring ice, a blender and maybe a non stick pan.

Great location but...

The house is located on the golf course. It is a great location. The house seemed to have been empty for awhile. Upon arrival, we noticed that the counter tops in the kitchen were very dirty. The dishwasher was full of dishes (clean, I think). There were spiders and bugs in almost every corner of the house. The door on the freezer section of the refrigerator was broken off. It was very hard to open. We will choose a different location next time.

Poorly appointed

My wife and I are a Premier VRBO owner and we are very much dedicated to the appointment of our property. This property needs some TLC. Very poorly appointed, we would give it a 2+. The kitchen faucet is about to fall off. There was one small skillet, which was dirty with burned food, and one small frying pan in the kitchen. No sponge or cleanser was provided. The fridge water and ice dispenser had a sign on it "not in service" The handle with which to open the freezer was broken off and it was difficult to open. All beds were un made and required us to make them. There was no welcome notebook with instructions or a map of the area provided, i.e. restaurants in the area, amenities of the neighborhood etc. No paper towels, no dish towels. No kitchen sponge or cleanser. One roll of TP per bathroom. No paper towels for the kitchen. BBQ was provided with no tools. Light bulbs were out, and no backup. The location was awesome and we will be back. But if the owners dont step up and upgrade the property we will not stay there or recommend the property. The living room furniture was dated and run down. It desperately needs some TLC and it too could be Premier status and command more nightly $, which we would pay. For we will visit Edisto Beach again in the future. Great gold course, enjoyed it very much.

Getaway for a few days.

The property is located at an end of a cul de sac and is set back away from the other households. It is located at the end of the fairway on the 15th hole. The privacy of the house was nice because there weren't any neighbors to interact with, just the golfers passing by on golf carts. It was quiet in the evenings, the bed was comfortable, and the AC worked which are to be expected and important to us, but not always the case. The reason we are giving the property three stars was due to a few things. The picture describing the property shows the bushes and trees manicured in front of the house and at the time of our visit we could not see over them to admire the golf course which made the front porch somewhat of a let down as it is a nice wrap around porch. The garage area below the house where the grill is located and the steps leading up to the back of the house was manifested with mosquitoes. I wanted to use the grill one evening, but they were overwhelming and no exaggeration there were hundreds of them. We bought two cans of insect spray to deal with them when we got back from our bike rides and made a game out of who we thought killed the most mosquitoes. The exterior of the home needs some attention, and the furniture is dated but useable. The ice maker didn't work on the fridge which isn't a huge deal but when we first arrive to a property the first thing we want is a cocktail and ice isn't the first thing I want to run out and get and for the daily rental price, we shouldn't have to. The property has a lot of potential, is large enough for a big family, and is in a nice location. I would inquire with the property owner before renting to see if they addressed these issues if they would matter to you before renting.

Very Clean Nice House for family of 1, I do have a few complaints

The house was very clean and very nice with modern appliances. No extra trash bag. I booked for 3 nights and only had 2 small kitchen bags for trash. One roll of toilet paper, not enough for your stay if staying for several days. I would expect to have basic needs covered for our entire stay, not just the first day. When we arrived the comforter was on the beds, but sheets and pillowcases had to be put on every bed. I would have expected this to already be taken care of prior to arriving. The porch is very nice and the house is on a very golf course with a nice view. The location seems pretty safe, but Gps will take you around in circles. At night there were loud strange noises. The first night it sounded like someone was walking throughout the house, and into my room, and into the bathroom. My family member that slept on the other side of the house complained about the noises of someone walking into her room as first thing that next morning. The second night there was loud noises. After 2 nights I was a little creeped out and was ready to go home so we left a day early.

Memorial week vacation

The house was very clean and was as described in the listing. I felt like it was the best located house in the development, it had great views of the 15th hole on the golf course and had just enough Privacy not feel like you were crowded next to people. It was our first trip to Edisto and would book this property again when returning.

Lovely Home

Lovely home. Nice kitchen renno except there was no toaster or blender; great porch and lots of closets. Linens were torn and toilet paper holder was broken and lying on the floor. Was our first experience with Utube TV and it worked well. It was comfortable and private but the worst part was the music from the bar across the street--it blared loudly until 2pm on Friday night....and then there were the extremely loud motorcycles midnight - 2am. Other than that, it was a great location!

Could be awesome

Pros: The property is as advertised and the location is nice. It is at the end of the neighborhood and set back from other houses. We walked to the seafood store nearby for fresh shrimp and fish. The property was very clean and the bathrooms and kitchen were updated and lovely. Cons: Four dining chairs is not enough for the number of people staying in this house (We had 7 people). The water lines were full of air and sputtered for several days. The shower curtain was torn and moldy. The gas grill did not work. Our biggest issue is the lack of amenities in this house. The lighting is unacceptably dark in the living rooms and bedrooms. We needed to use flashlights to do a puzzle in the living room because all of the rooms are lit with small lamps rather than overhead lights. Additionally, the kitchen (although beautifully remodeled) was still lacking basic necessities like pot holders, scissors, and a dish towel. We also had to supply our own hand soap, dish soap, paper towels, trash bags and toilet paper. Although I don’t expect an unlimited supply of these items, we only stayed 4 days and I would expect enough to be supplied for that amount of time. We also were surprised that no games, books, or even a deck of cards could be found in the house. In general, the property was nice. It doesn’t feel homey at all, though, which something I expect from a rental property. It felt a little sterile and lacked some basic necessities I would expect from a rental house at this price point.

REVISITING EDISTO

We were celebrating our 58th Anniversary and our son and daughter-in-law were expected but our adult twin granddaughters surprised us! There was enough room for all of us and the view was perfect for the golfers! Lots of room to spread out, great TV/Internet - a perfect family vacation. Would recommend a can opener - the only item missing from the well equipped kitchen!

Great Thanksgiving break stay on Edisto Island

The house is as advertised. Great location and we enjoyed the front porch daily. The house was perfect for two families. We brought bikes and rode around the resort and island, and a walk to the beach was approximately 20 minutes. We walked over to the seafood market across the street and bought fresh shrimp. The kitchen is nice and very up to date but lacking what we considered some real essentials: pot holders, can opener, dish towels, and blender, to name a few items. I would recommend this rental to others and would rent it again.
