ALWAYS THE PERFECT GETAWAY

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have rented this property probably 8 to 10 times over the last 20 years. The fact that it is at the end of the road just makes it so private. Every dog I've brought with me seems to remember it with gusto when we return. It is truly the perfect getaway!

So relaxing

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was one of the most relaxing vacations ever. The sound of the rapids removed all the stress, better than a massage. The only reason the location did not get a 5 is the fact there is a cabin right next door and the privacy fence only goes so far and there is very limited privacy when you are in the fenced yard.

Not for people uncomfortable on 1 lane gravel/dirt mountain roads

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have to start with the good. It has a great fenced in area for dogs. It is right on the river and has a great fire pit we used every day to make smores. The cabin is cozy and has 2 fireplaces. it was relaxing and my kids and dogs loved it! a few notes: we did let the management company know the bathroom upstairs was not draining properly when showering. Hopefully it just needs some draino. but the shower was also not clean when we arrived and had hair still in it. we used alcohol we brought to clean it quickly ourselves. the drive going back in a van was rough especially in the rain. the van was not pulling the hills and we are not used to pulling off to let someone else pass especially when the other drivers were FLYING by. My husband was a nervous wreck trying to get in and out of this location. the people in the next cabin over were also going out into their hot tub...with no clothes on. so we had to close blinds and make sure the kids were not ever looking that way. they also were letting their dog out everytime we let ours out and then it was fights through the fence. Recommendations: get food you need and bring it withe you the first time. drive slow slow bc people are not looking for you coming around the corners (blind spots). they really need to hang those round blind spot mirrors in some trees to help. Try and back into the parking area so you can pull straight out.

This is by far the BEST pet friendly cabin we’ve stayed at in the Blue Ridge area! Perfect location, comfortable, and classy. Can’t wait to go back.

Beautiful Views

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin is easily accessible with 2 wheel drive. The views are fantastic and match the pictures. The yard is large and well fenced for the three dogs we brought along. It is well laid out for pet owners. The gas grill was clean and ready to use. For me, I wish the couches sat higher up. It was hard on my knees. The kitchen is small if you are a cook, but you can make it work. Very relaxing and I would stay again.

The river and view are incredible! Not a dealbreaker but the kitchen and third bedroom are tiny. It wasn’t a problem for us since we had a total of four people but if you have more, it would be quite “cozy”. Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay.

April 2023 Stay

My family and I had an amazing time! The cabin is absolutely beautiful. It did end up raining all day Saturday while we were there, but there was plenty of room on the back porch and inside for us to hang out and play card games. The cabin was very clean, right on the water, and had a fenced in back yard for our doggie. Definitely would recommend to others!
