Welcome to our Pearl Lake vacation rental. Our home is furnished with warm and cozy furniture/decor to give that up-north cabin feel. We want you to feel as relaxed as we do staying at our vacation home. This home sleeps 12 people in beds(NOTE: One private bedroom is bunk bed for 2 small kids). We do have a strict 12 guest maximum. Its great for family vacations, retreats, & small reunions! There is more than enough room for the entire family with 4 bedrooms, 1 loft bedroom(3 queen beds in loft) 2 living spaces with jaw dropping views, covered and open outdoor spaces that are sure to please, & a boathouse large enough to gather in and enjoy this piece of Heaven(Pearl Lake that is). Included in the rental is 1 canoe, 3-4 kayaks, and 2 paddle boards. There is a Pontoon boat on a lift at the dock, which we will rent to experienced boaters. Feel free to reach out to me to discuss the Pontoon boat in further detail. Spacious built in fire pit area overlooking Pearl Lake. Please note that during the peak season(July-August) we rent 1 week minimum, Sunday to Sunday. The pricing is detailed out in the rates sections please read it over to get more information. Check in is at 4pm, and Check out is at 10am. Bath towels are provided and must stay in the house. Hand towels and kitchen towels will also be provided, but please bring your own beach towels. All beds will be clean and made prior to your arrival. Kitchen is fully stocked, just bring food and beverage.

Boating: Pearl Lake is a full rec lake, and wake hours are 11am-4pm daily. Please adhere to these wake hours and do not create wake during off hours. Boating direction is counter-clockwise at all times.

WINTER RENTALS: Perfect Cozy Cabin feeling with Gas Fireplace, gorgeous views of snowy pines down to the lake, outdoor firepit area! NORDIC MOUNTAIN is 4 miles away for skiing and tubing! If you're looking for a winter retreat, long weekend, or just need a different view, it's a wonderfully peaceful place to spend the time.

Family vacation

Great family vacation spot

The property, beach and amenities were all that we could ask for. Great lake that was perfect for kayaking, paddle boarding and pontoon rides. Todd was a communicative host and the cabin itself had space for a young family and a few couples to spread out and relax. Would recommend for any family getaway!

Relaxing weekend

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy cabin! Everything was clean and well-stocked. The view and lake were just so lovely. We enjoyed fishing off the pier and the peaceful canoe trips around the lake!

Beautiful!

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights with my parents, and my 7 year old and 3 year old kids. It was such a great time! We all had so much space and spent each day at the lake the entire day. Soo many water toys and our own BEAUTIFUL sandy beach! The water and lake was beautiful as well! Will stay here again!

Family Vacation

We created so many wonderful memories here with our children and grandchildren. We loved the boathouse down by the lake! There was a "no-wake" but the kids enjoyed fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding and bonfires. The 4 bedrooms and loft were perfect for our group! The property manager was so nice to work with. I would highly recommend this property!!!

I liked all the amenities we were able to enjoy including, life vests, paddle boats, pontoon, nice warm weather, sandy beach. Upper level had NO lighted mirror. We got use to the one bathroom, just had to wait your turn. Loved the huge washer and dryer. The young adults loved the fire pit with their kids.

Loved staying at the house on Pearl Lake

Our stay was amazing. The owners were quick to answer any questions we had. The kitchen had every appliance we needed. Loved all the water toys they supplied in the awesome hang out vy the water. We had a large group staying and almost never had an issue with the one bathroom. We ended up taking a shower curtain on the shower for privacy. Thank you for a fantastic vacation.

Wonderful lake house

We loved this lake house property! The house was perfect for our family and we had enough space for us to all spread out. The water front was perfect for swimming and fishing for our kiddos! We loved the lily pad and swimming platform. The water was clean with a nice sandy bottom. And we loved the little lounge area near the water. Perfect hang out for the family! Highly recommend this place and we already booked it again for next year.

Awesome Lake House Vacation

We all had a Wonderful time at the Lake House. We all have decided to make a return trip if available in 2 years. We have a Son that comes up every two years with his family from TN. The Lake house was perfect for our needs. We had a perfect week for being on the lake. This was our first vacation trying out a Lake house and it was perfect. We made great memories with our Family. Great Family Trip

We enjoyed everything about this house and pearl lake. Kids and adults were in and out of the water all day. We made full use of kayaks, paddle boards, floating pad and jumping platform. There was also plenty of fishing from the pier, walking the rolling hills around the lake and playing on the deck. We made all our meals and the kitchen was great. Communication with Todd was always quick. Pearl lake and this house help to make lots of happy memories for us!

Perfect getaway

The Johnson Lake House was the most perfect place to spend a weekend getting old friends together. Todd & Jenny have the house fully stocked with every kitchen accessory & appliance to comfortably host. Plenty of chairs, tables, deck space, and an absolute beautiful property to relax at. Privacy, stunning scenery, comfort, and fun, are easily found at their well kept, calm lakeside retreat! Todd & Jenny were wonderful hosts. They communicated efficiently whenever we had questions about booking and leading up to our stay. Can’t wait to visit again someday!

Best weekend ever!!!

Ladies traveling in for a bridal shower nearby. Everyone was amazed by this beautiful property!! Beautifully decorated. The most comfortable beds!!! I noted the brands of the sheets and blankets so I could purchase for myself! The owners surprised us with a beverage in the fridge!! So thoughtful!! Will definitely come back in the summer to enjoy the boathouse!! Gorgeous lake, gorgeous house! Thank you, Johnson Family, for letting us enjoy your lake house!!!

Amazing as Always

This was our second trip to The Johnson Family Lakehouse. Our group had such a great time last year, we didn’t even entertain looking elsewhere. The awesome new swim platform was a hit and everyone spent hours in the crystal clear lake-even the adults! We enjoyed the amazingly well stocked kitchen, as we cooked meals almost every nite. We had a question about the boat and Todd got back to us within minutes. The covered area on the deck provided a great area for board games on the one rainy afternoon we had, and the view from the deck of lake is breathtaking. We can’t wait to go back to our “ happy place” next year:)

Room to breathe in and out!

Our family has stayed at numerous rentals over the years and this is definitely one of the tops. The house is large enough to spread out and very well equipped; they have thought of everything and we truly felt like we were at home. The one bathroom posed no issues and having the squeaky clean porta-potty outside was a bonus. The deck "in the tree tops" was a great space to visit, eat, read, nap and play games. Nice swimming and clean water await you with a little climb up/down to the lake where there is plenty of water accessories. It was nice that after 4 pm and before 11 am was "no wake" so we could swim back/forth with no worries. Even caught and released a few nice large mouth bass.

A little piece of heaven!

Look folks, if you’re looking for a north woods, crystal clear lake house vibe a mere 2 hrs from Madison, look no further than the Johnson Family Lakehouse. The gorgeous home comfortably accommodated our group of 7 kids and 6 adults ( 3 families), and the views from the awesome deck can’t be beat. Highlights included the sweet boathouse to hang in as we enjoyed the lake and the kayaks and paddle boards available at the property. The lake is CRYSTAL clear- we caught some nice bluegills right off the pier! The house is stocked with everything we needed for cooking, as well as paper products, towels and super comfy bedding. Other highlights included the “ Milty Wilty” ( a vintage custard stand) and KRB Barbeque, both located 10 minutes away in Wautoma. Jenny and Todd are fantastic hosts and communication was top notch. We’re already planning our trip back next summer, as this property met and exceeded our expectations.

Family Anniversary Celebration

Fabulous vacation at this property. The property is perfect-crystal clear water and well supplied home. You couldn’t ask for better water amenities for all ages of our family. The grandkids couldn’t get enough of the water fun. Todd was always prompt in answering our questions. Great place to stay!

House on a lake with toys!

Beautiful location on water, minimal yard but plenty of deck space at the house and by bouthouse at the water. 10 of us stayed comfortably. Longish climb from house to water; 70 steps. Everyone had fun!

Perfection

Had my kids and grandkids all under one roof. Lakefront area was perfect for the little ones. Swim decks, boathouse, firepit, perfect for the grownups. One bathroom never an issue. We sat at the firepit one night looking over the silent lake, a million stars in the sky, music playing, surrounded by my family and said to myself this is perfection. Thank you Todd and Jenny for the great memories.

Disappointed

This was our second visit here, and was so disappointed this time about the cleanliness. Dust bunnies, cobwebs, wrappers under furniture and cookies under the couch cushions. It's also 69 steps down to the lake so hauling little ones was a chore. Lake is clean and fishing was great!

Great Family Get Away with a Beautiful Home & View.

Our long weekend family trip was great. The home was perfect for our 3 couples and 4 kids, there were plenty of extra beds for larger families and groups that we didn’t need to use. We really enjoyed the deck that overlooked the lake, we ate supper and lunch on the deck every day. The lake was about 100acres, clear, beautiful, with lots of trees, and surrounded by single-family homes (no apartments or condos). The lake was great for swimming, kayaking/canoeing, relaxing, and some fishing. There are parts of the lake that were sandy, only a small portion of this home’s shoreline was sand, but there was enough shore to keep our kids happy and entertained. The owner was very responsive and happy to answer questions. He even let us know that their raft had broken, but he had an alternate inflatable raft we could use, and a replacement raft came before our stay was over. The fire pit was also a great addition to our weekend. The only downside to the property was that there are quite a few stairs between the lake and the house (about 60-70 steps). To make it easier there was a mini-frig in the boat house, so we didn’t need to carry a cooler down, and plenty of room to keep things down there (life jackets, snacks, fishing poles, floaties, etc.). Also, the boat house was well stocked with quite a few items; life jackets (various sizes), some floaties, a couch with a small table, mini-frig, a few fishing poles, and speaker. We loved our time on Pearl Lake, and would defiantly stay in this home again!

Exceeded our expectations!

Our experience just seemed to get better and better. First, we were so happy to realize the location was under three hours away (we are just south of Milwaukee). Our group comprised of our 6 adult children (4 kids plus 2 hubbies) and our youngest who is 13. We run 2 family businesses and each kid bit the youngest has worked for us. Currently 3 of them are actively building our business with us - so we all *needed* REST! The drive was such an easy and beautiful drive & was part of the unwinding we all needed. We pulled up and loved what we saw & the adventure began to figure out which entrance was the right one. As soon as you approach, you're taken over by the still, blue, quiet beauty of Pearl Lake. The lake has become one my and my husband's favorite WI lakes now - deep, clear, still, quiet, clean. Perfection. We cooked all of our meals in the well laid out and well supplied kitchen. We had planned to go out to eat but we never wanted to leave! We snacked and made caramel corn and just enjoyed every area. At times we split up to do what each person wanted to do, but we also found ourselves gathering in what we called the sun porch (indoor) and played lots of impromptu games. We had the perfect bonfire on our last night. We swam, fished, kayaked (first time for me and it was on my life time bucket list!), paddle-boarded, fed the fish, and enjoyed the sunsets. There was an owl hooting loudly at dusk and into the night. I'm pretty sure the owners flew him in just to add to the ambiance ;). Its been 18 days since we went and we are all still kind of in mourning that we aren't still there!!! Oh and I gotta say, 1 bathroom wasn't a problem for a group of 9 - not even once! The porta-potty outside was just a great addition; very smart! We ate well, slept well, lived well, loved well. Thank you for opening up your place for others to experience. Memories were made. The Blooms bless you for it!

Great week!

Great Lake, clear water, we had fun swimming and using kayaks, canoe and stand up paddle boards. House had everything you need, great firepit area too! Pizza from Christianos, place that owner recommended, was really good and they delivered!

Jenny and I are both from the Madison/Waunakee area. We have 4 kids, and we love everything family driven. We've been coming to Pearl Lake with friends since 2010, and when the opportunity came along to own a piece of heaven up there, we jumped at the opportunity! We're both in the real estate business, bunburyjohnson.com, and have very busy lives. Our careers are demanding, and our kids are all very active in various sports during all seasons. We knew we wouldn't be able to use our beautiful property on a regular basis, so we decided to share it with others and allow others to enjoy, relax, and create lifetime memories just as we do while at our cottage. We absolutely LOVE hearing about our guests vacations, and all of the fun memories that are created at Pearl Lake. So, while we're not able to be up there a whole lot, it makes us very happy and fills our hearts with joy to hear about others enjoying it. When we are at Pearl Lake, we take full advantage. We swim, we fish, we putz around on the pontoon! We talk, we laugh, we play a lot of card games(Euchre being our #1). We have a fire pit every night we're there, and the kids run the fire pit games with family and friends. The phones turn into a device that pushes music through the Sonos speakers, and the TV's only get turned on for a late night movie typically. For us, it's become a place for ALL of us to relax and decompress. We love knowing that our guests get the same enjoyment as we do! Year after year, we have multiple returning guests, and it's really become something special to many families. This property is very unique, not your standard white drywall 4 walls type of home. It's got a warm inviting feeling. Various wood tones throughout the home, 3 sided gas fireplace during colder months, and a fun layout that gives space for privacy, and also full on family fun! PRIVACY is important to us while vacationing at the lake! We are on a double lot, which already makes our property private. On top of that, one side neighbor(House literally on water) is rarely there working on a project, and the other neighbor side is rarely occupied. It truly is a private paradise! Along with falling in love with the home, we were blown away by the outdoor spaces it provides. A truly huge deck allows for dining, lounging, grilling, and it all overlooks a million dollar lake view...it's really something. We also have a covered porch, which provides coverage, but still outdoors for dining, card games, etc. Built in firepit half way down to the boathouse, which seems to be where all nights end for us, and for our renters. Boathouse is comfortable with sectional wicker sofa, mini fridge, and is stocked with life jackets for your use during your stay. The water clarity at Pearl Lake is absolutely amazing. My oldest son literally filled up a disposable water bottle(Ice Mountain), and put it up next to a new unopened bottle, and I could not tell which was which...no joke.

Privacy. Oustanding outdoor spaces that are comfortable for all. Our fire pit area is perfectly located half way between the deck and the shoreline. The boat house is a perfect place to hang out, with an outdoor sectional couch, mini fridge, ceiling fans, and only 4 steps down to the beach/lake! We have 2 sun decks at the end of our pier, each with a bench to just sit and enjoy! New swim, Mission Mat(Portable swim raft) is left in the water for our guests to enjoy. The Mission Mat is an absolute favorite for kids and adults! We keep 4 kayaks, 2 paddleboards, and a canoe at the property for our guests to enjoy. Our pontoon boat is on a lift(Separate rental) for guests to enjoy if they choose to rent it. Our Deck is very spacious, and allows guests to spread out in the sun, but there's also a covered porch w/table to get some shade and still enjoy the views and everything outdoors. The water at Pearl Lake is extremely clean and clear. In the mornings, I'll stand on the deck and just look down at the lake with my coffee...and I can see the fish swimming in the water...it's that clear! The cottage is everything I've ever wanted. It has the cottage feel, but modern amenities so we're not "Roughing it". We do have a Starlink system for WIFI, which has helped tremendously with streaming TV, Music, and for people that need to work while at the cottage(This was huge for us being in the Real Estate world). It's the perfect place for family and friends to unite, to laugh, and to relax!
