Located in the heart of Bay Head, the Historic Bay Head House was built in the late 1800's to accomodate early visitors of Bayhead for sailing, hunting, fishing, and of course, the sea! The Bay Head House has been completely renovated and restored for the purpose of accomodating families to enjoy this quaint seaside village as it has for more than a century. This unique home has served the community by providing its guests with the opportunity to experience life at the shore and the 'head of the bay.' We welcome you, your family, and friends to enjoy your stay!

The Bay Head House is located in the heart of quaint Bay Head 'Downtown', just a couple blocks from the beach, and a block from the Bay Head Yacht Club and Barnegat Bay. This unique property offers wrap-around porches, 2-second floor balconies with views of Twilight Lake, 3rd floor balcony with Ocean & Lake Views. Invite all of the family and friends down the shore to celebrate life. Walk striaght down to the beautiful white sand beaches of Bay Head. The Bay Head House is conveniently located a half mile from the Bay Head Train station with trains to NYC and Newark Airport and just a mile south of Point Pleasant Beach Boardwalk, Jenkinson's aquarium, amusements and more.

Completely renovated with 9 spacious bedrooms & 6 brand new full baths. The new luxury kitchen features an 8 ft center island with seating, a full refrigerator, wine fridge, beverage fridge, full range, wall oven, built-in microwave and is fully equipped for all of your cooking or catering needs. The Bay Head House was renovated with top of the line 'smart home' systems and security systems to ensure our guests with piece of mind for their friends and families, including; whole house fire sprinkler system in every room of the home, burglar alarm, built-in audio surround sound system with volume control in all common rooms.

This great home features over 1,200 square feet of decks, porches or balconies overlooking Twilight Lake and views of the Ocean. If you are planning your next shore vacation, The Bay Head House is a perfect retreat for accommodating wedding parties, family reunions, corporate retreats, special occasions, anniversary parties, Mother's & Father's Day, holidays (Thanksgiving & Christmas), or summer vacations. Great Place for a Family Reunion

This was a wonderful location and perfect house for our family gathering. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms to accomodate our large family. We especially liked the open kitchen and that there was plenty of room for everyone to sit down and eat together. The property manager, Michele, was very responsive and helpful before and during our stay.

Wedding Week

We stayed at this beautiful house for the week of our daughter's wedding. We had plenty of room for all the family members staying with us and plenty of room for our family and friends that stopped by during our stay.We all had an amazing time and hope to return.

family reunion

This was the perfect home for our family of 13 adults and six children under 4 years. The kitchen had everything we needed and is well thought out with a big island in the middle and updated appliances. There was plenty of room for food preparation, serving and eating at the large dining room table. The living rooms offered comfortable seating while watching the babies play. It was a very short walk to two nice playgrounds and the beach. Grocery shopping is a short drive with plenty of attractions nearby to check out.

Son's Wedding 2024

Absolutely the PERFECT house to host my visitors and family for my son's wedding- perfect location- within walking distance to the venue at the BAY Head Yacht Club- I came from SC-previously from NJ having rented in LBI for over 30 yrs-this house was the best that i have ever rented- other family came from California- Texas- Minnesota- Wisconsin- Alabama-New Hampshire and NJ-- and everyone LOVED it! The ones from Texas are planning to return to Bayhead next year with family for their family vacation having loved the house and BayHead overall- very quaint town- great restaurants and BAKERY- and a very clean and perfect house for all ages- Thanks again Michelle for letting us create sooo many memories

Wedding Weekend

We rented The Bay Head House for our son’s wedding weekend! We hosted Welcome Drinks at the house and did hair and make-up for the wedding party at the house! The house has ample space for comfortable entertaining and large groups!! Michelle - the party planner for The Bay Head House and the site manager - is attentive to detail and makes magical parties happen! She is a joy to deal with and coordinated every aspect with ease! 10 out of 10 experience!

Beautiful Family Wedding

The house has lots of space for good times with family and friends. Beds were comfortable, the kitchen accommodates meal preparation for large groups. Lots of bathrooms! The outdoor porches are great for relaxing, taking in the views, or for watching sunrises and sunsets with your favorite beverage. Our family was delighted to host our youngest son's wedding at the Bay Head House. Everything was beautiful! Michelle Tracy worked with the bride and groom to ensure that all the many details were worked through. She recommended local places for dining and fun times. A very special memorable time was had by all.

Amazing stay!!!

We had the most wonderful stay here!! The host was wonderful and so responsive. The house is perfect and in a great location! Walkable to shops, restaurants and most importantly the beach! Can’t say enough great things about this rental!

Great home, excellent accommodations and location!

We had a large reunion at this home, and it was the best we have found along the Jersey Shore. The home is large, clean, and outstanding for hosting large groups (like the 18 of us). The entire home feels new, including the large, impressive, functional kitchen. Plus, with a location just about 3 blocks from the beach and across the street from the bakery and other small Bay Head shops, you couldn't ask for much more. In addition to the home itself, Michele was a pleasure to work with and made everything as easy as possible. I would wholeheartedly recommend this home to anyone in the market!

Fit our needs

The space was great. It would be perfect if it wasn’t on a busy street. There were a few things that I was very disappointed about with teh house. First, the kitchen was dirty along with much of the cookware. I had to give it a thorough cleaning. Second, the ice machine in the freezer was broken and they said they would not fix it during our two week stay. Finally, the door & screen were broken in the main kitchen lounging area so that door could not be used without issues during our stay. We bought a bungy cord to keep it closed. These issues should not be present or at least quickly addressed for the price of the property.

Best House in Bay Head!

We rented The Bay Head house for our family reunion. We have been holding an annual family reunion for over 20 years and this was the first time at the Jersey Shore. We had family from MI, GA, NY, MA, CT, MD and NJ. What a week and what a house! We had 4 generations ranging in age from 18 months to my 93 year old parents. The Bay Head House served as a perfect venue and terrific locale for our family. This historic home is lovely with well-appointed rooms and spacious gathering spaces. The 9 bedrooms and 6 full bathrooms easily accommodated our group. The wrap around porch was perfect for morning coffee and evening cocktails. Everyone gathers in the kitchen and the huge island served well as buffet space, morning chats and late night giggles. Bay Head is a charming, historic village and the house is just a short walk to Mueller's Bakery (famous for their crumb cake), The Dune Grass Cafe, the beautiful Charlie's of Bay Head, and of course, just a few short blocks to the beach. For more action, the Point Pleasant boardwalk is just a short drive or bike ride away and Arnold Avenue is a charming place for a stroll with its numerous boutiques and restaurants. The property manager, Michele Tracey was terrific to work with. She was attentive, responsive (not that we really needed to call on her), and accommodating. Thank you Michele for making my family's stay at The Bay Head House such a memorable experience and helping to make my dreams come true of holding a family reunion at the Jersey Shore. This was one of the best reunions we have ever had and The Bay Head House was a fantastic venue! I would highly recommend The Bay Head House!!

The house was clean and bright and a great location

Everything was really lovely. An explanation about how to use the appliances would be helpful but is a very minor comment. The house was perfect for a large group and had everything.

House is gorgeous!

We rented the house for my mothers 90th birthday. There were four families and three generations present. We were able to cook, relax, play games, dance and sit with plenty of room. The house is close to the beach, bakery and boardwalk to have fun. We all enjoyed ourselves and hope to stay there again.Many thanks to Michele Tracy the property manager who was so helpful through the whole process.

Dream wedding at the Bay Head House!

i had my daughters wedding here this past weekend. We looked for a house that we could have the reception in for about 45 people and this home fit the bill. The best part was that Michele Tracey, the property manager, is also a wedding planner. She was extraordinary!!! She took care of every detail and many I hadn't even thought of. Food was from Joe Leones-delicious!!! She also recommended the photographer, Jeanne Paradise King. She has already sent us proofs and they are absolutely stunning! Her attention to detail is phenomenal! I really can't say enough how perfect this wedding was thanks to Michele Tracey. I would highly recommend her and the house is beautiful. I had 12 people staying in the house for 4 nights and we had a blast. We had the reception, then an after party and the next day a brunch. Perfect, perfect, perfect!!! I can't thank Michele enough for giving Jen and Billy their dream wedding!!

Bay Head House

The house is roomy, well equipped, and has a wonderful wrap-around porch where we spent lots of time. When we needed a crib and extra blankets they were delivered to us cheerfully. We had a multigeneration family reunion and the house accomodated us all splendidly. We loved our stay, and only regretted that there was no fenced-in yard for our collection of toddlers. We recommend the house and its spacious kitchen to any group with slightly older children.

Our entire family of 16; five families, 9 adults and 7 children ages 16 months to 12 years gathered together at The Bayhead House to celebrate Christmas together. It was the perfect house and everyone enjoyed being there. Enough bedrooms and bathrooms to go around and plenty of living space as well. The kitchen is fabulous, big enough for several people to work in at the same time and the huge center island was a great place to set up a buffet. The proximity of the cheese shop, the bakery and the beach(the weather was warm enough for walks) was a bonus. As was the terrific catered dinner from Joe Leone's in Point Pleasant. Would certainly consider a repeat stay in this lovely house.

Pictures simply don't do this exquisite home justice!!!!

I recently rented the Bayhead House to host a group of about 20 women celebrating an upcoming marriage. This house looked amazing online yet somehow managed to exceed our expectations!! The downstairs is such a wonderful welcoming open layout that it is basically impossible to document accurately in photos b/c it's simply just TOO large to get all at once! We were blown away when we stepped through the door. The kitchen alone is reason enough to rent this property, especially for a large group... everyone always congregates in the kitchen anyway, and this one is made for that with the enormous island, table and ample counter space. The bedrooms are all gorgeous as well and we basically got lost every time we went upstairs b/c there are so many rooms and bathrooms!!! The location of the house is unbeatable as well with the Wine & Cheese shop next door, a world famous bakery across the street, and ocean and lake views from the balconies. On top of all this, Michele was beyond accommodating to all of our needs and requests and went over and above to make sure our stay was perfect. She is truly a gracious hostess! Simply cannot say enough good things about this home. I hope to have the opportunity to stay here again soon!

Wedding Week at the Bay Head House

We found this exceptional seaside home to be a perfect place for our wedding. It provided everything we needed: 1.Accommodations: a beautiful home which was roomy enough to house our guests and provide all the amenities needed. The location is perfect, with proximity to the Parkway and train station. 2. Wedding: We chose the Wedding package, and we were so happy we did! It included our wonderful wedding planner- Michele Tracey and photographer -Jeanne King. From housing the rehearsal dinner to the wedding celebration, the Bay Head House created the event we dreamed of.

The Bay Head House was established in the late 1800's as one of the first accomodations in this wonderful Historic seaside village. In 2010, The Bay Head House was completely renovated/restored to accomodate visitors as it has for over 100 years. We designed the home to have all of the luxuries you could ask for and retaining the design features and style of the turn of the century.

Having grown up in the area, Bay Head has always stood out as a town that offered a feel of days gone by. Being involved in real estate and construction, we thought it to be a great undertaking to restore this magnificent property to fit back with the other magnificent homes that line Bay Head's streets. We loved the idea of bringing The Bay Head House new life and ensure that it can be used for guests of this great town for another century. With many of the Bed and Breakfast's being converted to single family homes and not many accomodations otherwise, we thought The Bay Head House would fill a need for the town and at the same time let us use the home for our own family reunions and corporate retreats.

There is a wide array of activities that one can undertake while staying in this wonderful town. A simple stroll through this quaint downtown for one block for a stop at Mueller's bakery, proceed the extra block to the beach to pick up some seaglass and watch the surf & sunrise. The activities that we love best are bike rides through town, surfing, sailing, kayaking, bird watching, fishing and relaxing on the front porch! All of which can be done within a stones throw of the house.
