Wrightsville Dunes B-1C is an oceanfront, classic beach condo, and perfect for a family get away! The unit is on the first floor of Building B and has an oceanfront balcony that spans the living room and the master bedroom. This rental can sleep 6 people, and every bedroom has its own private bathroom. The front guest bedrooms are sound facing; one has a queen bed and one has 2 twin beds. The twin bedroom has been upgraded with a brand new gaming TV, accessible for gaming systems to plug in and be enjoyed! The master bedroom is oceanfront with an oceanfront balcony. There is a queen bed and a large private master bathroom, a shower, a large soaking tub, and a new TV.

The kitchen is fully stocked for making family dinners and the dining room table seats 6, finished with brand new granite countertops. The living room has a large flat screen TV, perfect for movie night. You can see the ocean from the living room, and enjoy the beach breeze from the spacious oceanfront balcony. Book your stay today to make lasting memories!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When we arrived our rental was filthy - the bathrooms had hair and toothpaste spit, toenails on the floor and clearly had not been cleaned AT ALL. I cleaned myself for 4 hours given the risk of germs, then a crew was sent out the next day. I tried to work with the agency to discuss and have never been able to reach anyone. Given the current health risk situation, it was disgusting and unacceptable. Brian from the agency was awesome, did come out and was very apologetic. However, I have tried to call multiple times, and have not been able to reach anyone. Very unacceptable and lack of cleaning put all at risk.

Overpriced

Floors were extremely dirty. We had a 1-year-old with us and after crawling on the floor it looked like she had bruises but it was dirt. We bought a Swiffer mop and had to use it several times. The furniture is worn and dated. No garbage disposal. Lots of junk came out of the jetted tub when first turned on. There was lots of space and the balcony was great. The sliding screen door to the balcony sticks. We won’t rent this unit again.

Being on the 3rd floor and having the loft makes it feel much bigger than the 3 bedroom units we have stayed in. The only negatives were not having a garbage disposal, and some of the furniture was a bit dated/worn.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo is in a great location and it’s very spacious. The beds were very comfortable. Overall we enjoyed our stay but we probably would not rent this unit again. We knew going in that the unit decor was outdated so we expected it. We rented for 11 nights and we had no where near the amount of paper towels, toilet paper, or garbage bags to last us the duration of our stay so we had to purchase our own. Also hand soap because the soap there was watered down to the point of being useless. My biggest concern was the absolutely disgusting floors. Within 10 minutes of walking through the unit our feet were black. I took to cleaning them myself rather than complaining because I didn’t feel the cleaning staff would do any better than they had already attempted to do. Plus, I didn’t want additional people in our space while we were there. Based on the other reviews and my own experience, probably need a new cleaning staff. The only other thing that was odd to me was having to make our own beds. Although I do appreciate knowing the linens were fresh, after driving all day I didn’t feel up to making five beds.

Great location- tired rental

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First the good - a 3 BR + loft end unit right next to the boardwalk with great beach and inland waterway views. Dining table easily seats 8. Comfortable living room chairs. Convenient parking and elevator. Nice private entrance patio. Great garage place to store beach gear. What a super 5 star rental it could be. Now the not so good. The unit feels neglected. Light bulbs burned out in several lamps. Upstairs loft lamp clearly broken and unusable but still there. Little things like 5 flashlights for night beach walks, 1 broken and no batteries. Only one frying pan in the unit with a very loose handle and the nonstick surface is all cut up. 3 wine openers one of which is clearly totally broken. One baking sheet with burned grease on it sitting in the oven. It is as if no one has looked at and organized the kitchen dishes in years - many odds and ends and not in great shape. The bedding in the 2 queens appears to be 20 years old and is stained. Most of the pillows are in bad shape. Missing queen mattress pad. (sheet to be put right on the old mattress). From the fabrics used here, we assume this unit has not been updated in 20-25 years as these were the 'hot' fabrics then. The cleaning crew leaves bunches of sheets wrapped in saran wrap for you to put your own bedding on the beds which feels 'lazy' to me. We have rented many VRBOs during covid and never had to put our own sheets on. (And in this unit it gives you a chance to see how old and ratty the beds and bedding are.) When I did call and request a mattress pad, batteries and light bulbs the management company did drop them off immediately Saturday AM. So they were very responsive. Still, the owner needs to go through this unit and clean it out, get fresh bedding, throw out the old and broken kitchen items and lamps and freshen it up. Then it would truly be great.

I prefer this area of Wrightsville Beach as it is away from crowds. The unit we rented more than meet our needs as it was large and well designed. However, the unit is very outdated and needs to lose the overwhelming beach decor. The master shower needs to be updated.

Reviewer Comments: We have been staying at Wrightsville Dunes for several years but this is the first stay in this unit. It is conveniently located near the pool and beach. A plus is the garage access and ample storage for beach gear. It was large enough for our family and we will book again next year.

Could easily have been perfect

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall is was okay. It could have been perfect. Positives: The view was spectacular. The floor plan worked well for our family. The location was great. The pool was well maintained and very clean. Parking was convenient. Internet worked fine and was fast enough for work and streaming video on rainy days. Negatives: The property was filthy when we arrived. Many surfaces were sticky or grimy. The floor had not been mopped. Empty bottles and trash were found under the beds. It was too late in the day for the manager to correct the problems so we ended up cleaning before going to bed. The manager did send out a cleaning crew the next day. They were not apologetic and only spent about 15 minutes cleaning upstairs. Given the Covid pandemic the place should have been extraordinarily clean. We were given the wrong key when we arrived. The friendly handyman arrived to let us in within 20 minutes though, which was great. No problem. Honest mistake corrected faster than expected. On day 2 the deadbolt lock on the front door jammed in the locked position with the key stuck in the lock, leaving all family members but 1 locked inside. A locksmith arrived in the evening to replace the lock. This could have been avoided by choosing a good quality deadbolt. The one on the door was junk. The mattresses in at least two of the bedrooms (master and one front room) were horrible and need replacement. They sag badly enough to interfere with sleep. Every pillow in the house was disgusting. They should be replaced at once. Come on people. This is maybe $150 at Target. Some of the furniture was worn and dingy.

Dunes view

Great view of the dune and ocean! The AC was not working on the bottom floor especially the ocean side- set at 74 it went to 81- tried calling Intracoastal (prop manager) but phone system was down- called 877 number and left a message which no one received. Called repeatedly then finally got someone- it was fixed quickly after 5 days in the heat. We then received parking tickets while parked in unmarked areas. We were told that tickets should not be given this time of year. We went to the office and they straightened it out giving us passes. The sunrise views offset the inconveniences.

Perfect family rental

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have family who have a house in Wrightsville beach, but wanted our own space since we have small children. We also wanted an option of going to a pool instead of the beach or waterway. This was perfect, when we had enough beach, we enjoyed the pool. Check in was easy breezy, and very helpful. I couldn’t figure out something, made one phone call, and some one was there immediately, The unit was comfortable and nice, I felt okay with having two small children. We didn’t spend much time at the place, bc we did have another place to hang. But must say, it was so nice to come back to our place, sitting out on the back balcony, listening to the ocean. We will definitely be interested in renting the place again.
