Cozy Lakeside Cabin with Beach

This charming little cabin includes a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom main house with a small kitchen and seating area AND an additional free standing, studio style cabin complete with a queen size bed and additional bathroom plus its very own kitchenette.

Have a seat on to the back deck and enjoy the lakeside view. Continue down the stairs to enjoy a sand beach for swimming or bring along your own boat right up to the dock on the property for easy access to loading/ unloading. At night there is a fire pit right on the beach to relax and toast s'mores before retiring for the evening.

Great cabin on Burt Lake

We had a great time at this cabin with our family. Checking and communication was excellent, location is great in a quiet neighborhood at the end of the road. Highly recommend and hope to return in the future

The best views!

We loved staying here! The convenience of having the boat lunch just down the street made it that much more enjoyable! We were able to drop the boat in each morning and never had to wait for anyone! The fire pit on the beach was an added perk! We definitely will be back!

Perfect up north cabin

This was a cute up north cabin. The views of the lake were awesome, however, its not a great spot for swimming directly from shore. It is very close to town with a nice beach, restaurants and ice cream. Everything was clean and comfortable.

Family vacation on Burt

Our family has vacationed on Burt Lake for many many years but we are outgrowing the ability to stay in one house. This rental suited our needs perfectly, was private and comfortable, and the view of the lake was lovely. We’re grateful for our memories and plan to come back.

WEEK STAY AT COZY LAKESIDE CABIN

We had a wonderful time during our stay! Amenities and cleanliness were top notch. This is a very cozy cabin with beautiful views. The only downfall is that Burt Lake has a tendency to become extremely rough. All in all, we would definitely recommend staying here! Michelle L.

Wonderful Get Away

This property was exactly as advertised. With an awesome lakefront location it made Burt Lake and Indian River perfectly accessible. Communication was prompt, wifi was strong, and accommodations were comfortable. Could consider putting clocks in the bedrooms but other than that we had everything we needed AND wanted.

Cozy Cabin

The property was nice for a basic cottage. We did experience some sever weather that did have water come in the house due to drainage issues outside. The property manager was responsive with getting things taken care of.

The property is as pictured. We only used the main cabin, which had plenty of space for all of us. It's an older cabin but has updated windows and bathrooms. We loved playing down by the beach every day! The water has rocks at entry so bring shoes to get out past the rocks. Nothing this owner can do about it but for awareness, there is a rooster a few houses down that you can hear every morning and evening. On the upside, it had us up to watch the Loons (40ish) every morning, we even spotted two Eagles fly over. Excellent communication from the owner and very responsive!

Wonderful stay

The property was exactly as listed, plenty of room for all. Don’t hesitate to rent due to no air conditioning, i brought one just in case and never unpacked it. Lake breeze was more than enough! Beds are comfy. Bunk rooms are small. Property owner was quick to answer any questions we had and if he wasnt available had a back up # to call-excellent communication!

Good place

The place was very clean. The owner was readily available to answer questions. The only negatives were the rocks in the water. I know nothing can be done about that, however, my 75-year-old mother was very anxious to walk over the slippery rocks to get in the water. Also, the owner provided firewood which was very nice. however sitting around the fire ring on the beach was a little tricky, as it was on the hill. But overall it was a great place to stay!!

Waterfront renovated cabin has a great view

Very nice renovated cabin. We loved the deck and spent most of our time there overlooking Burt Lake. The weather was perfect - the evenings cool so sleeping with the windows open was wonderful. The last two nights were warm and humid—sleeping not so great (home has no A/C). Fans did help a little, though. Very comfortable home overall. The back cottage needs a few additions—cable tv, bedside tables and lamps. The guest bath in the main house with the great renovated shower needs a better hot water heater (hot water goes away fast). Still, this VRBO deserves five stars. We will definitely use this VRBO home again. Overall, it was a lovely place to stay and the view was marvelous. Owner was fabulous! Highly recommend.

Nice cozy cottage on the water with beautiful views. Our week had great weather and a nice breeze off the lake kept the main cottage relatively cool. We were unable to use the firepit because the wind off the lake was too strong in the early evening. Check-in went smoothly, the cottage had most everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Location is great, semi isolated but close to town and amenities.

This is a great house to unwind and relax. This is the perfect house. Three bedrooms in the main house. The back house made for a perfect retreat for my wife and I. Wonderful sunsets. Our family loved this vacation! Great time was had by everybody!

Great lakefront cabin

Cabin met all of our needs and the water access was superb. There were a good number of beds in the main cabin so everyone could have their privacy. And it was nice to have the separate, smaller cabin for my mom. The location was convenient to downtown Indian River for groceries, dinner, etc. Cabin itself wasn't super fancy, but had everything we needed. And the lake was beautiful. Really nice little "beach" area with chairs and sand for the kids to play, plus a dock for the boat we rented for the week. The water was shallow so our kids could play endlessly without concerns about them getting too deep. Very quiet street that's tucked away...saw deer almost every day we were there. We texted with the owner a few times and he was quick to provide responses to our questions. Slight downside there was no onsite laundry, but plenty of linens available for our use.

A week at Burt Lake

The cottage at Burt Lake was great. We had a tremendously hard rain storm and had some minor water problems. I talked with the owner Justin Whitman and he could not have been more accommodating to me and my family. He made sure our every need was taken care. He even refunded some of our rental fee because he wanted to make sure we were taken care of. I would highly recommend the cottage at 465 Sturgeon Bay to anyone knowing how we were treated and taken care of by Mr Whitman and his associate Molly. I would give our week at this cottage five stars. Thanks Mr Whitman and Molly for making this week a wonderful week for me ang my family.

Great Place for A Getaway!

We enjoyed our stay on Burt Lake. The location is great for boating the Inland Waterways. While the cottage is older it is clean and maintained and has everything you need! We were very happy with our decision to stay at this location!

Lovely lakeside cabin

We enjoyed swimming in the lake in the afternoon and a fire on the beach in the evenings. Beautiful sunsets.

Great spot!

Enjoyed the time here, great cozy little cabin perfect for a family getaway. The lake was choppier than we expected but the beach and dock still made it enjoyable. Close to town and restaurants too.

Lovely place on the water

While the weather could have been better, the place was great. Very clean with a lot of supplies. Beds pretty comfortable but soft. The beach was fun. The wifi is slow but I was still able to use my Roku. Plenty of room for us but if you had 10 people it would be crowded. Very quiet at night. Less than 10 minutes from Indian River stores.

Great cabin!

This is the cutest cabin with the best location! I will definitely be coming back. The property even has an additional cabin which would be great for family. We had a great time enjoying the lake and bon fires on the beach! The property owner was super easy to contact and made it super easy to check in!

Peaceful relaxation.

Lovely accommodations. Well stocked. Clean. Studio cottage on property very nice bonus space. Justin was very responsive. Going to miss our nightly bonfires on the beach, gorgeous sunsets and mornings on the deck overlooking Burt Lake. Looking forward to staying again next year.
