INDIAN RIVER MICHIGAN located on the Famous Sturgeon River !!!

You can escape to this prefect hideaway at our River Bend vacation cabin. It has a full kitchen that opens to the cozy living room with cathedral, vaulted ceiling, and knotty pine walls throughout, adding to the cabin atmosphere. For the young at heart, climb the ladder to a loft with 2 built in twin beds, or enjoy one of the 2 bedrooms on the main floor. Master has a Queen bed and other bedroom has a full bed and a lofted twin bed.

You are steps away from the Sturgeon River with 35' of frontage. Enjoy the water; Canoe, tube, kayak to Burt Lake that connects to Mullett; Pickerel; and Crooked Lake which leads out to the Great Lakes.

After a long day on the water or hiking through the woods, relax and watch a movie on the flat screen smart TV. Wireless Internet is also available free of charge so you can check your email, surf the web, or take care of business while you are away from home. Enjoy a game of chest under the hanging twin bed, ideal for a family time, or quaint romantic getaway, or a group for rafting down the river. You can walk to Big Bear to rent your tube, kayak, or raft's. They have trips scheduled to take you up river, you can end at the cabin, ideal for those that are to tried to drive after the long river adventures.

Please note that this is a non-smoking cabin and absolutely no pets allowed.

Cabin was nice. Host was great at communicating and had instructions posted very clear. Wish there was storage containers, and curtains over the back windows. Enjoyed feeding the ducks.

We were super impressed with the property and the location, perfect for our Northern Michigan family vacation! Perfectly located for our trips around the area, and so nice to come back to after long days to relax, eat, and sit by the fire. The river was idylic, and the kids had fun waving to the rafters and tubers floating by. Would definitely stay here again when we need a place up North!

Have stayed at this property several times going back to 2020 and each visit has been outstanding. Great location on the Sturgeon River and close to North Central State Trail for cycling and DeVoe beach for swimming. Within walking distance to everything in Indian River but still feels secluded when using the grill, patio and fire pit along the river. Kitchen has been updated recently with all new appliances. Wall was opened up between the kitchen and dining area in the front sun room as well. Very comfortable and relaxing place to stay.

Another lovely stay at the river cabin!

This was our family's second stay. This cabin is immaculately clean. The beds are comfy and cozy. A storm caused the power in Indian River to go out a second, and when it came back on a fuse had blown. It was 10 pm and the property manager happily came over within five minutes. Our kids love this place, and we especially love sitting outside watching the river go buy. Bonus, there are always a few duck families that are very fun to watch!

Weekend getaway

It was the cutest cozy cabin. We loved our stay and sitting by the river. The day bed swing was my favorite spot. Centrally located to all kinds of fun. Will definitely be back.

Great cabin with all the comforts

Stayed here with my spouse for a weekend getaway. The cabin was well-decorated and very clean. We were able to find anything we needed or wanted. We decided to eat in and found the kitchen had everything for preparing our steak dinner. The grocery store, Kenā€™s Village Market, is in walking distance (but you need to cross a busy, multiple lane street). More on Kenā€™s later! šŸ™‚ We were very happy with all the attention to detail from the bedding to the outdoor grill. The bed was soft. The grill was nice and clean. All around very happy with our stay. Thank you! Ken's Village Market had the VERY BEST STEAK we ever prepared ourselves. It was FANTASTIC. We purchased filet mignon from their fresh meat section, grilled it, and enjoyed it on the back patio while watching rafters float by. Ken's market also sells firewood at a great price for the firepit.

Beautiful and comfortable!

We REALLY enjoyed our stay at the river cabin! The place is absolutely adorable! Even though this cabin has clearly been around a long time, it has been updated well and has all the comforts of a modern vacation home. The dishes are nice, the towels are soft, the bed are very comfortable and the sheets/blankets/pillows are dreamy. We stayed in the summer and the AC worked very well. Lots of little fans for each room since the unit is in the main room. The loft was adorable for the kids. They loved having their own space. It didn't get as warm up there as they thought! There is a precious sunroom and stunning riverside yard area with a great fire pit. We brought a floating foam pad that we could tie up in the river and the kids had a blast. The river moves much too fast to just climb in and swim but having a floating thing tied up was perfect. I could go on and on about having the comforts of home. It was also perfectly located right off the highway, super close to town, but was quiet as can be in the yard at all times! We were never bothered by road traffic. At night you couldn't even tell. We watched in awe as a great blue heron fished every morning and night. Perfect up north Michigan! Thank you for keeping this place comfortable and nice!

I have been coming to this same place for 5 or 6 years. I don't want to stay anywhere else. It is perfect for me and the location is perfect as well. The remodeling that was completed makes it even more enjoyable. I would give more than 5 stars if I could.

Love this Little Cabin!

Ideal location on the Sturgeon River, close to Burt Lake, the North Central State Trail and all that the town of Indian River affords. We appreciated the updated kitchen and new wall opening direct to the dining area on this trip and plan on returning again next year.

Lets start with the beautiful location and and the access it has to all your outdoor needs and pleasures, plus the beautiful river that nestles steps from the front door. This decorated cabin will give you that out of town feel but also provide you with some at home basics like internet access and a wall mounted big screen TV to calm the little ones down while the outside grill is preparing the evening meal.

Great location, quaint updated inside decor with new furnishings. It also has a key-less entry so you don't have to worry about lost keys while canoeing.The newly added loft is a great escape for older kids, teenagers and the young at heart .City conveniences are just right around the corner for those things we seem to always forget to pack.

A short walk from the cabin you will find Big Bear Advantages to rent all your river rafting supplies (Tubes,Kayaks, rafts), McDonald's or Burger King, Kens grocery store, a smoke house BBQ/ Bar restaurant with karaoke, Wilson's Rivers Edge Restaurant, Subway and a great fish smokehouse. You have everything you need just steps from your cabin door, but when your at the cabin it has the perfect relaxing setting.
