Misinformation

We where informed by the maintenance person that the lap pool was not working, they where waiting on a part for the heater. When I asked for some sort of refund I was informed that we where misinformed. It was working but only heats 10 degrees above the outside temperature. Disappointed that we where not informed correctly and unable to enjoy.

Fabulous house, great location, spacious, very poor communication

The house is fabulous for a big family like ours. The only issue we had was the first shower taken Saturday night it immediately started stopping up so I called and left a message . I called again Sunday morning and left another message and left another message on Monday that was not so nice this time. My wife left a 4th message Monday as well. I also sent an email Monday saying how this was a inconvenience to us and I wanted some money refunded back to me for the trouble and we still got no response. Tuesday I called back for the 5th time and finally got an answer and of course they apologize and sent someone out very quickly to fix the problem . I still have not gotten a response from the 4 calls or email to check back to see if the problem was resolved or not. Overall the week was great. The people who you deal with stink

Property 100% Misrepresented Online (BEWARE)

When booking a Beach Vacation one of the primary aspects about anyone's property search are the views. The better the view the higher the premium for the property. The view for this home is 100% misrepresented. A fire occurred at the two properties directly in front of this home on May 31st. As you step out on any of the 3 large decks, you are welcomed not by the gorgeous views shown online, rather you are welcomed by the wreckage left by the fires. The property itself was adequate, well appointed, sufficiently cleaned, albeit a little dated, however the absence of updated pictures, formal disclosure of the adjusted views, or anything other than "you already paid" response leaves me with a horrible impression. You get what you pay for, and if you book this property you are not getting entirely what you pay for.

Fabulous well stocked house

Everyone had a great time. The house couldn't have been better. The beach view wasn't the greatest of the beach itself but the Gulf, Clouds, and sunset were gorgeous. There was building between this house and the beach. Thankfully there was an elevator! The steps were a lot for my aging knees. The tub and lap pool (?) were unavailable but we were given a credit. The board walk was long with lots of steps. Nobody in our party had a problem but me. It does need some work. Loose boards and rusty nails.

Love Cape San Blas

Beautiful location!!! Beautiful house ! Close to the beach and pool. Only problem is NO communication! Had a problem with the shower and took several phone calls and days before we got in touch with someone to fix the problem.

Absolutely AMAZING!

Enough room for extended family & friends with plenty of space to not walk all over each other. Walk to the beach via private boardwalk, super nice quiet area close to State Park Entrance. A week is not enough! Didn’t want to leave! The house is perfect with each level having 2 king bedrooms with own bath and a quad with bath plus laundry on each level and private decks per room. It’s like mini condos combined in a huge home. The top level is the kitchen dining area with massive ocean view deck. White sugar sand and YES you can have a fire on the beach!🏖🔥

An excellent get-away

Although we did not travel with children, I can see how the design of this property would suit multiple families traveling together. Having the living area and kitchen on the top floor was wonderful and the elevator was a necessary and well used extra. The house was spotless upon arrival and other than some minor Google direction errors to get into the gated community, it was easy to find. As with most houses on CSB, the western-facing beach is marvelous for sunsets. Highly recommended and would rent here again.

Beautiful Location

This is a beautiful, well appointed home located on the north end of Cape San Blas. There was more than enough room for our large extended family and the large, well furnished kitchen made preparing meals a snap. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Words cannot describe how much we loved our week at Sunset Dunes! Our grandkids cried when we had to leave! This house was the most comfortable, well stocked home we've rented. The kitchen was amazing, the owners have thought of everything, you do not need anything except food. I was skeptical about having the kitchen and living room on the top level, but that was soon short lived when we saw the amazing views from the deck. The house was beyond our expectations! The staff at Cape & Coast were awesome too. They answered questions within minutes and made our trip amazing. Cape San Blas is beautiful, we plan on returning.

Amazing House

Unfortunately the price almost doubled for next year the same week and the company only gives $100 discount for returning guests. This is out of our price range. But we loved the house!

Beautiful Property, Cleaning/Management Not Up to Par

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property is absolutely stunning with gorgeous porches with amazing views on each floor and modern amenities. The kitchen was fully stocked with every appliance you need and even a huge stockpot for shrimp boil. We loved the large swim spa to relax in after our day at the beach which was a 3 minute walk on the boardwalk. However, when we arrived the elevator was not working which was remedied within a few hours after calling. The house was not fully cleaned with food crumbs left in the drawers and the countertops, the floors were dirty, a dirty k-cup and used carafe left in Keurig, hair in the shower and lint left in the dryer. With this occurring during the pandemic, we did not feel safe that things had been cleaned for safety. Fortunately, I brought some wipes with me and then we bought more to wipe everything down. On the day of our arrival there was terrible storms which delayed the cleaning staff but I would rather have delayed our arrival then arrive to a dirty unclean/unsafe house during COVID which resulted in me having to clean everything.The other issue was the boil water alert that occurred several days before our stay. We were not notified until the day of our arrival which was unfortunate because we could have planned better and brought water with us. Instead we were left scrambling to go buy some upon arrival.We truly loved this property but I don't know if we would rent through this company again due to the cleaning and maintenance issues which is really unfortunate.

Spring Break at Sunset Dunes

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We arrived at Sunset Dunes on check-in day at 6:30pm (check in begins at 5) to find 4 cars full of cleaners still at the property. My husband entered the house and was told they weren’t done, but would be in about 15 minutes as they just had to finish mopping. At 7:30pm, the cleaners began to exit the house. They did not “mop their way out”. The 4 flights of stairs were very dirty, the bottom level was dirty as they kept tracking in and out with their supplies. After they left, we found a used coffee cup on the outside porch stairs, a half empty water bottle in a porch chair, and a drawer full of someone else’s clothes in one of the master bedrooms. We had 17 people staying in the home (which sleeps 20) but only found enough towels for 15. My husband called the cleaner’s cell, which is gave him when they left, and he did bring more towels. Toilet paper was missing from a couple bathrooms, too. The house is absolutely beautiful! It worked perfectly for 3 families (6 adults, 11 children) and gave everyone their own space. The top porch is amazing! We spent a great deal of time out there. All of the kitchen amenities and grilling porch were fantastic and were put to good use. We had one instance where the swim spa stopped working, but maintenance was very responsive and had it fixed the next day. Overall, the property is great and we plan to stay here again, however, the cleaners will ruin your business if what we experienced continues. Our family has used Cape and Coast for many years and never experienced what we did this time.

Fantastic House

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Renting from Cape and Coast was easy. We downloaded the app and everything was done electronically. They were quick to answer any questions we had. The kitchen was fully stocked for a large crowd! The pictures don't do justice to the beautiful decor. We had 13 adult sized people and found there to be plenty of room for us all to spread out. The view to the ocean is breathtaking. The pool is literally across the street. We loved having two washer and dryers. There are 54 steps from the garage area to the kitchen area, but we liked the exercise and would take the elevator if we had groceries. WE ate at Coneheads and Peachy's. The closest large grocery store, the Piggly Wiggly is about 30 minutes away. But there is a small provisions market close. Cell service was sometimes iffy, but you are on vacation, right?! We would definitely go back and would recommend this house.

New house great for families

The house was fantastic and perfect for families. While the walk to the beach is longer than desired when carrying gear (note there are numerous stairs), the covered jacuzzi and jet pool were perfect to keep children of all ages active and engaged. Note that cell service is non existent for Verizon customers from all areas around the house (including the beach). The house has WiFi, but it is only available within the physical property.
