You’re just steps away from restaurants, shops, and activities. Plus it’s in the beach block of quiet Laika Lane – enjoy the white sand beach and warm Gulf waters. The house has three bedrooms and three baths and sleeps eight comfortably.

Sea Breeze was custom designed by architects to take advantage of the location. It is surrounded by lush tropical vegetation. The main entrance brings you into the large dining room seating eight. On the right opens the bright family room with many large windows, comfortable seating, and the entertainment area. Upstairs are two large bedrooms, plus the spacious rooftop sun deck for very private sunning. Stairs lead down from the main level to the pool and patio area, featuring a long and narrow, private, heated pool. The large screen enclosure also covers the patio and shaded cook-out area (large gas grill and outdoor dining table).

All reservations/cancellations are subject to the terms and conditions (policies) of the American Realty Rental Agreement once the reservation is booked thru 3rd party platforms.

Policies include, but are not limited, to a 4% credit card / debit card convenience fee and  $255.00
cancellation fee (plus applicable tax).You may cancel your reservation up to 120 days before arrival
and your payments(excluding the reservation fee and applicable tax) will be refunded.
After this date, no cancellations are allowed and no refunds will be made.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: House is a short walk to the beach and local restaurants. It has a fully equipped kitchen with new appliances. Extremely comfortable home down to the stack of novels for reading by the pool. The upper deck is peaceful for morning coffee up in the trees. A true delight in “downtown” Captiva.

We had a great stay at Sea Breeze. Easy check in. Communication was great, very attentive. The house was clean, comfortable and well stocked throughout. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of items ready to use. Everything was better than described. The beach was easily accessible, walkable.

If you want to experience Captiva to its utmost, I highly recommend staying on Laika Lane. The walk along the small road to the beach is gorgeous covered in flora and fauna.

Our feet were disgusting from walking around the pool patio so I took the initiative to clean the patio with the hose nearby. Guests shouldn't have to clean the pool area or patio, that's why you pay good money for a vacation. The house was okay. The furniture wasn't very comfortable. The couch pillows had feathers that constantly stabbed you if you sat against them. The downstairs bathroom also smelled bad no matter what. Overall this is an okay property and I would recommend but only because it's inexpensive and in a great location. Personally I'll spend more for a nicer property in the future. I'll continue going to Captiva Island as it's the greatest vacation spot in the USA.

Thanksgiving week 2024 in Sea Breeze Cottage

The island post-hurricane recovery was in full swing but some restaurants and the general store were open & beach was full of shells & ample fish were caught from Surf. Our cottage was in great shape and perfect for our family of 5. Lots of room and beds were fairly comfy. Kitchen had ample pots, pans, & utensils to cook Thanksgiving dinner while watching football games. Pool was very warm and relaxing. We were a one min walk to Boops for orange crunch cake & morning coffees. One min walk to general store for supplies & wine. Overall we were very pleased & can't wait to come back.

The house was clean and very well stocked with linens and cookware etc. The beds were comfortable, clean and the pool was a very nice bonus...the house provided beach towels, chairs and umbrellas - we will be coming back next year! Albert with American was very tentative and responded to questions right away. We had an all-around great experience!

We were happy with the home. It had everything we needed. It was a very short distance to the businesses/restaurant area. The walk to the beach was doable for all of us. (21-82 years of age) Captiva is a tropical paradise. We've been going to the island since 2008 and have always had a wonderful family week together with our kids and grandkids.

We also saw a largish iguana, a raccoon and a rabbit near the house. We’ve stayed in Sunset Captiva in various houses for several years and have always been happy with the accommodations and the closeness to beach, the Island Store and restaurants.

The kitchen and bathrooms are very dated but generally functional. Kitchen cabinet kickboards are disintegrating. Some windows will not open. Outside steps front and back are in rough shape and should be replaced.

Sea Breeze is a great house, lots of stairs, just FYI. 15 to the main level, 16 to the upper level. Found it a good way to work off some of the Boops(Bubble Room) cake, which was conveniently right around the corner! You should know your tv streaming passwords for television watching. That’ll keep you from having to call. But if you do call (I did), the American Realty team is on it! Problem solved in minutes! Nice galley kitchen, everything you need. Pool was warm, great for laps. Wagon, chairs, and umbrellas all in working condition, and oh so helpful.Watch the entryway stairs, front and back. There were a couple nails working their way up. I pounded down as needed.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was decent. It was convenient to the village of Captiva and close to South Seas Plantation. There were giant ants in the kitchen with empty bait traps placed around the counter. We called and the maintenance folks delivered one more bait trap. We decided to keep the kitchen lights on at night to hopefully deter more bugs. There are gaps in between doors and door frames that need to be fixed. The downstairs bathroom is tiny and was hard to have two people use all week. There was 1 bath towel provided in that bathroom. My 6 yr old grandchildren enjoyed the pool but it was very small. This was my second year with American Realty. While I love the area I wouldn’t return to this particular house.
