2018 Family Vacation
Overall we had an awesome time because we made it happen! My family and I have rented homes several times, however this villa was not prepared for visitors at all. It definitely needed to be clean and should be stocked up with suppy. There was hair everywhere (bathroom tub and floor, the beds, everywhere). We actually changed the sheets and purchased new sheets. We purchased our own sponge to clean the one pot and spoon we used because all cutlery, pots and pans either had food residue or was in horrible condition and should have been tossed out long time ago. I purchased Clorox Bathroom Spray to clean the entire shower, toilet and sink. We also found ourselves purchasing toilet tissue and bath soap. All homeowners usually supply all of this stuff and more. We had to buy hand soap for the bathroom, it was just ridiculous. And to top all of that, I still felt the need to leave it clean before checking out because that's just how my family is. I swept all rooms, washed, dried all linens and towels used, cleaned the entire bathroom and left everything we purchased behind. We should have never been charged for a cleaning fee. The kids loved the pool, the beach was beautiful and the entire property was amazing. Maintenance staff was always around taking care of the grounds. Staff at the entrance was very sweet. I would also say we appreciated the owner for allowing us to check out later than usual due to our late flight, it was very accommodating.
