Perfect Porch

Kate and Barry were awesome hosts, making sure you had what you needed during your stay! This camp had everything we were looking for. A porch which was amazing, a beach which was private, and they love dogs!! A plus all the way around. The 62 stairs to get to the beach was a little much (although a great workout)! We knew this going in so it was not a surprise to us. The weather could of cooperated better but we made the best of it. Thank you Kate and Barry!

Great Get Away!

This property is beautiful! The cabin was clean and fit the needs of 5 adults and one dog comfortably. The screened in porch (my favorite spot and where we ate al of our meals) has the most beautiful views of the lake. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, coffee maker and everything else you may think you need to bring, well except food. Our stay was for four days and we did eat all our meals at the house. Barbeque, was clean and easy to use. The cabin is set up on a hill there are maybe 50 to 60 steps down to the water really wasn't an issue, just be aware. The beach area was clean a little rocky but we had absolutely no issues swimming. If your looking for a nice, peaceful get away look no further I would highly recommend Kate and Barry's place they were such a pleasure and attentive to or needs. Thanks for having us! Happy to see the weather was beautiful for your son's wedding.

Amazing!!!

We had the most wonderful stay!! Kate and Barry were THE most incredible hosts, they were so kind and helpful and also so thoughtful to not seem intrusive of our privacy. It was actually perfect to have them so close because as a couple of things came up they were there immediately to help (Like offering us the use of their generator when a thunderstorm knocked out power for a few hours and doing all they could to minimize any disruption from it!) The cabin and beach/lake could not have been more perfect, the quintessential Maine lake cabin experience but with the most beautiful and modern updates! Thank you for a wonderful stay... I wish we were there right now!

Cozy and with everything you need!

We had a beautiful stay at this property. The house has all you need to feel comfortable. The owners who live next door where very courteous, helpful and respect our privacy. All the basics you need for the kitchen you can have it and in great condition and all the knives were sharp!!! ( lol it’s a big a thing to me) The stairs down the lake were not a big deal for us. The lake is super clean and the sunrise view breathtaking. We will love to come back!

Best vacation ever!

This property is absolutely beautiful. The screened porch with pull down shades for bad weather was our favorite space. 3 bedrooms, plenty of storage and sparkling clean. Cannot say enough about the beautiful view and cottage.

Perfect camp with all the amenities

We had a great stay at this property. It was perfect for my husband and I and our three young kids. We had everything we needed at the cabin. Our one concern were the stairs because we have an older dog (and kids) and they proved to be a non issue. The beach was private and beautiful and we had a blast jumping off the dock. Definitely recommend to anyone and everyone! Thanks Kate and Barry for being terrific hosts.

Beautiful location

Despite some poor weather, my family of 5 (4 adults and 1 15 year old) loved our week at the cottage. It was the perfect size and was stocked with everything we needed. The home had the vibe of a traditional cottage from the 40s but with the amenities of a modern home - new appliances, new bathroom, AC/heat in every room, all with a large 3 season porch and gorgeous views. Not to mention your own private beach. We rented a boat for 2 days, waterskied, visited Frye Island for icecream and explored. If you have dogs that like to walk don’t miss the Portland Water District trails and if you haven’t been to Portland, we highly recommend it - especially the foodie scene. Check out Bao Bao Dumpling and Holy Donut

Incredible oasis

This glorious cabin had all the rustic beauty of a lakefront Maine getaway coupled with modern conveniences. Kate and Barry are so thoughtful and have covered anything one could possibly want. The cabin is pristine. The view is nothing short of spectacular. It is spacious, with three bedrooms. The kitchen and bathrooms are new and modern. The washer/dryer combo is incredibly effective. There are mini split AC units in each bedroom and one in the common area, and all were incredibly effective on the 90 degree day that we were there. The lake is incredible. Our dog loved swimming from the small beach on the property. There are several stairs going down to the beach, but the staircase is well-maintained and very safe. And Kate is simply the most wonderful and warm person. We want to get back here ASAP. It is the most extraordinary place.

Beautiful spot, awesome hosts, house with a great history

While the weather did not cooperate for us, the house really delivered. My favorite part was the screen porch that looks over the lake. Kate and Barry were excellent hosts, gave us our space and had everything covered at the same time. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Also - The listing says it’s a two bedroom but it’s actually three, which was an awesome surprise. I’m only sorry that we didn’t get to enjoy the lake more. Next time!

Beautiful, peaceful and memorable

We loved our stay at this beautiful property. The house itself was pristine with a beautiful porch overlooking the lake. We spent hours relaxing on the porch, enjoying the view. Our kids loved the beach and the kayaks were a huge hit. The owners were responsive and helpful, offering advice about the area and attending to anything we needed. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. We recommend this listing highly - it is a perfect retreat for families. We came home rested and feeling better than we had in months.
