At this newly built house, you will find everything that you need to feel right at home and relax like a fully-equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a private gas grill, an outdoor dining area under a covered patio, and a flatscreen TV with cable.

What's nearby:
You can access a seven-mile stretch of a sandy beach just 0.4 miles from the house. Downtown Rockaway Beach is three miles to the south, where you will find an array of dining options, antique stores, fun gift shops, necessities, and more. Catch the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad for a quick trip down to the fishing village of Garibaldi, where you can pick up some fresh seafood from the marina. Crabbing and salmon fishing are less than five minutes away on the Nehalem River, and great trout fishing awaits at Lake Lytle.

Great Location

Overall it was ok, we brought a movie projector to experience a movie night with the kids, but the internet wifi connection was very difficult to work with. Couldn’t complete the movie. The BBQ in backyard was unusable. We made the best of things.

Lovely beach community!

The beach house was lovely and a close walk to a beautiful beach! The home was new with a nice feel to it! It was a good space for two families to share too! Clean when we arrived and it had many kitchen appliances.

Captains Quarters - great house

A group of us retired ladies meet every summer at a rental house. This was our first stay here and we were not disappointed. A very short stroll to the spectacular beach was much appreciated. The house is clean, secure, quiet and well appointed. The location is perfect for reaching the unique beach town shops and the delightful steam train ride to Garibaldi. I can recommend this house without hesitation.

Amazing house with everything you'll need

The house had pretty much everything you would need. We stayed here for a week and had a great time. We were able to relax and not worry about anything. The beds were decent, lots of pillows, beach towels and chairs, they even provided cute dog dishes for your pets if you forgot them. It's a cute little neighborhood that was great for taking the dog on walks. Close to the beach. Very private and relaxing!

Relaxation in Rockaway

We had a wonderful time during our stay in your home. It’s located in a great neighborhood with an easy walk to the beach. The home was neat and clean and very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfortable. During our walks, we listened to the birds in the morning and frogs in the evening. Thank you!

The house was clean and comfortable, close to where we needed to go.

The house had a great amount of various amounts of different glasses, plates, and utensils, additional bedding. All in all a very comfortable atmosphere.

Awesome vacation home

The house was perfect! Everything inside the house was like new, the beds were very comfortable. The beach is just a few blocks away. I would definitely use this house again, and I would recommend it to my family and friends. Thank you.

Such a cute one story home! The kids didn’t want to leave! It had a fun sandbox in the front sure sand toys, the kitchen was perfect for serving and eating with our large family of 8. We loved the small town feel and our beach wasn’t crowded at all. It was t too far from our home either. We will definitely be back!

Lovely location

This house is just right for a small group. Love that it backs up to the hillside. Nice quiet neighborhood. Comfy beds, but don’t love the plastic mattress protectors. Needs oven mitts and kitchen washcloths. Otherwise a wonderful place to stay!!

Rockin' It At Rockaway

Clean, spacious, nicely decorated. Quiet neighborhood. Beach is only a block or so over from the property. Plenty of parking. The owners do need to do to Home Depot and buy a decent grill for the backyard, however. We were there to attend a wedding and the property worked out very well for our party. A bit north of "downtown".

Beautiful, super clean house with well appointed kitchen. New appliances. Very comfortable beds. Pet friendly, though back yard is not fully fenced. Patio with barbecue (which needed to be cleaned).

Quality vacation home

We enjoyed our stay. Overall it was in very good shape. A few things would have made the trip better. The weeds front and back were 2 feet tall and so overgrown we couldn't let our grandson play in the back yard. They were finally cut down for our last day of the 6 days there. The barbecue grill was badly rusted so we had to purchase some throw away grill pans to cook some burgers. It would have been nice to have some tin foil and plastic wrap to help with leftovers and there needs to be more than 2 trash bags for the week with 6 people. The beds were comfy and the house was clean. We already let Vacasa know about some worn areas inside. We would stay again . We liked the location.

Nice location, nice home. Cleanliness and supplies leave much to be desired… White shower curtain is pink at bottom, mildew/mold; Front of bath cabinets (primary) are dirty and had some kind of powder Baseboards in bath, hallways and main living area are dusty and dirty; Kitchen sink needed thorough scrubbing; Towels, both bath and kitchen are threadbare and not white Cobwebs, dust bunnies behind TV, couch, dressers Front porch, cobwebs, bird feathers all around entry light TV sound would not work, very frustrating. I solved it after 2-3 hours of trial and error; Entry door code never worked as instructions are written. When exiting to go have fun, it was hard to get the door locked. And no instructions were provided. I would like the owner to know that they have a really nice house. But quality of housekeeping/maintenance is cheapening their home. Also, providing nice quality towels and linens, paper towel and toilet paper, even some Kleenex would make me more interested in returning. As is, I probably will not return.

Great location, average home

This house is in a great location. Its a few minutes talk to the beach in a reasonably quiet neighborhood, and getting into town is just a few minutes drive. Going a bit further, and both Tillamook and Seaside are an easy (and beautiful) drive. There's a washer and dryer, which is nice, and the kitchen is reasonably well equipped for a rental. A few concerns would keep us from renting this home again. 1. Safety: this home uses a standard lock and key. Yes, the key is kept in a coded lockbox, but the entry door is a standard keyed lock. The owners have no way of preventing someone from making a copy and gaining access anytime they like. This is the first time I've ever seen this in vacation rental and a major issue. 2. Dogs: this property allows dogs, which is great if you have them and travel with them. Its terrible if you are allergic. Dog hair was everywhere in the home. 3. Cleanliness: the home was moderately clean upon arrival, but most of the extra bedding had small stains or was covered in dog hair. Cobwebs littered all of the air intake vents, bathroom fans, faux plants in the kitchen and the pendant lights, making me question when the last time this home had a deep cleaning. 4. Outdoor space: this is minor, but the backyard could be a lovely space; however, the only furniture out there is a metal/glass patio table and chairs that are so rusted out that they are unusable. And the grill is disgusting.
