Bald Head Island Family Retreat with private pool, BHI & Shoals!

We welcome you to love our renovated beach cottage as much as we do! We are tucked away in the Maritime forest with its beautiful live oak trees but only a 2 minute golf cart ride to fabulous South Beach. The large (private for guests only) community pool is only steps away for those who do want to stay close to the house. We have two - 6 passenger golf carts ready for you to explore the island. Our home sleeps 8 guests comfortably. Our first floor has 2 bedrooms each with king beds and adjoining full baths. The second floor has one bedroom with 2 queen beds and its own full bathroom. Each bedroom has a flatscreen Samsung smart TV. We have bikes & beach chairs for our guests to enjoy. Linens and towels (including beach towels) are included. We also include a starter set of all essentials (laundry, dish soap, paper towels/ toilet paper). Our kitchen is fully accommodated for those nights you want to eat in. A Weber propane grill is available for our guests use * please note propane is purchased directly by guests on island and not provided by owners. We take pride in having a clean, convenient, beautiful home for our guests to enjoy! If you have never experienced Bald Head Island you are going to love it! We are a barrier Island with no bridge which makes it super private and a nature lovers paradise! No cars allowed so you will take a passenger ferry to the island which adds to the excitement! A (guest) temporary membership to the (Lifestyle) BHI Club AND Shoals Club are available to purchase directly with the clubs. Depending on your interests, the clubs offer world class golf, multiple pools, tennis, pickleball and several restaurants for you to enjoy.
Our commitment is to provide you with a fully equipped home for you to enjoy beautiful Bald Head Island! The island is truly magical and fantastic for families, couples, multigenerational and guys/girls trips!
**Saturday-Saturday Check Ins only during peak season with a minimum 7 night stay between Memorial and Labor Day holidays**

Perfect Location on the Island

The house was in great shape, clean, very comfortable, and had all of the amenities you could want for a stay on BHI. The location was central to everything, and the neighborhood pool was perfect.

Great stay in Bald Head Island

We had a wonderful stay in Bald Head and looking forward to going back. Great communication by the host. We loved being able to use the bikes and the two golf carts came in handy!

perfect for family time

Relaxing getaway

From check in to check out, the process was stress-free. The property had everything that we needed during our stay (beach chairs, sand toys, coolers, bug spray, beach towels, etc). The kitchen was well stocked and the home was beautifully decorated. Lots of towels and comfy beds! We had a wonderful, relaxing trip and can’t wait to go back!

Very nice property

The property is newly renovated and in excellent condition with a nice room layout. The owner was incredibly responsive to our questions. Would highly recommend.

Great location and fun family time.

The house was located close to the maritime market and south beach. The neighborhood pool was great for our Grandson. We did do temporary guest passes to bald head island club but also having that pool within a few steps was great. The house is stocked with puzzles, bikes, games, etc. for fun family time.

The house is nice and well kept! It was as advertised and my family would wholeheartedly recommend it! The two large golf carts was a nice bonus and the set of beach equipment was appreciated. Having a pool steps away was also great…

Friends vacation

This was our first time on Bald Head Island but hopefully not our last. This house was perfect for our needs. It was clean, well equipped, and beautiful. The two golf carts worked out great and the pool was super convenient. Thank you for a great experience!

Bald Head Island Stay

Cute house. Plants needed trimming off lower steps. Lower steps need replacing, well furnished except there was no can opener. Nice quiet location almost a recluse. Overall, a good choice to stay.

Great place to stay on BHI!

This was the perfect place to stay on BHI! The house is beautiful and convenient to the beach/grocery store. The owners were very helpful and responsive. The house was also well stocked with supplies, beach chairs, bikes, beach towels, etc, all of which made our stay there easy and convenient. The neighborhood pool (located right by the house) was wonderful as well. Highly recommend this rental!

Happy first timers!

This was a great house and perfect for our first time on Bald Head Island (hopefully not our last - we fell in love with the place). The house was amazingly clean for being so near the beach - I would love to know the secret to no sand). Very spacious for a family of 4, with everything we needed to enjoy the island. The week was very hot and the house was a cool mid-day refuge with great AC and the pool. The carts and the bikes made getting around very easy, such a great thing to have access to during the stay. The check-in process is so streamlined and Shanna was really easy to get in touch with - so responsive. The perfect mix of available, helpful and uncomplicated. We are so grateful to have been able to rent your little paradise for a week. Thank you!

Amazing Island

Shanna was super accommodating and helpful. I’ve never had a property owner respond so quickly to inquiries. The cottage was updated, well appointed and perfect for our family. We will definitely recommend to others and plan on returning ourselves soon!

The house was advertised just as it was presented. It was clean and had enough rooms and bathrooms for my family. We opted to eat out for most meals bc the kitchen was tiny. It had everything you needed stocked for you but I need a bigger space if I’m going to be cooking dinners. The primary bed was comfy and the king size was what we were used to so we appreciated that. We enjoyed the golf cart rides to the clubs, getting coffee every morning, and just cruising around. Next time we may choose to stay on the beach end of the island rather than the wooded part of the island , totally different feel , both with pros and cons. Overall, it was a complete delight.

Great Property

Great property for a family. The home is clean, nicely appointed and well kept. It had everything we needed, plus a couple of nice surprises, like the Shibumi beach umbrella. Both golf carts were in great shape. The community pool is just across the street and very nice. Overall, the location is in the center of the island and pretty close to everything. The property manager is super responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.
