Breathtaking marsh views on Bald Head Island.

Bald Head Island is a perfect place to get away and relax. Bald and the Beautiful is perfectly tucked into the maritime forest and has amazing marsh views. It is centrally located to everything on the island, the beaches, restaurants​, clubs, and shops are just a short ride away. Bald and the Beautiful is perfect for family and friend gatherings with its open layout and many sleeping accommodations​. Our family loves the time that we get to spend on Bald Head, and we know yours will too!

The Property is located in a quiet cul-de-sac with 3 masters (K, K, K) plus a room with 3 twins and a trundle. There is seating for 8 at the farm table and 4 more at the countertop. The luxurious living room has enough space for everyone with two large couches, two chairs, a flat-screen TV, a gas fireplace, and a wall of windows for fantastic marsh views. The screened-in porch off the dining space has an ample amount of seating; it acts as a second living space surrounded by the wonders of nature. Our home is perfect for multiple families with enough room for sleeping up to 10 guests comfortably. There are two 4-passenger golf carts and 4 bikes perfect for exploring the island.

Memberships to both the BHI Club and the Shoals Clubs are available.
Saturday to Saturday stay during summer.
No pets.

This was a great house for our family beach trip! The house was updated and clean, and conveniently located for both clubs and the beach. The kitchen had everything we needed, and we loved spending time on the screened porch. The golf carts are nice and new as well, which made getting around the island fun and efficient!

Fourth of July on BHI

The home was even better as the Vrbo detailed it. The location was perfect for our family with a three and five year old. The bonus for us was the kitchen was very well stocked with all appliances and kitchen gadgets needed to prepare any meal. The home was lovely and very roomy.

Family and friends enjoyed the house alot! Centrally located to harbor and market.

Great home for large families

This is a wonderful family home with a great central location on Bald Head Island. We have now stayed here twice, and our family would choose to stay here again. The owner is very responsive and we enjoyed our stay so much!

Beautiful Marsh Views

This house had it all! Well stocked kitchen, beautiful views of the marsh, and room for our group of 6 to spread out and hang together comfortably. We would definitely visit this beautiful home again!! Hopefully, sooner than later!

Annual family BHI vacation

Great property for our two families. Unfortunately we had horrible weather due to being on the fringe of a hurricane but we made the most of it! I would highly recommend this property.

Plenty of space

We had such a great time during our stay, and this is really a beautiful house. Our family visits the island about once per year and i think this has been our favorite thus far. The kitchen was well stocked, loved the espresso machine and glad we brought our own pods! Everything was clean and the host was great to work with. Would visit again for sure.

Amazing view!

We’ve been staying on the marsh for years and loved this house! It has the most amazing view and was SO well stocked! They thought of everything. We loved the flipped floor plan so the kids could all be in the downstairs. Everyone had room to spread out! It’s in the perfect location—we loved it!

Fun Times

Our family of nine had a wonderful time. The house was very clean when we arrived. Golf carts ran well and our family enjoyed exploring the island on them. House was a great size for our family and close to marina, grocery store and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again. The property manager was also very helpful and fast to get back to me when I had questions before our trip.

Fabulous

We had a fabulous time in Bald Head and our Bald Head cottage was perfect for us. The view was awesome. The cottage was clean, decorated well and had everything we needed to make our stay easy. We felt at home right away. We touched base with Kate a couple times and her response was immediate. We highly recommend the cottage.

Enjoyed our stay at Bald and the Beautiful

My family and I just returned from a wonderful stay at Bald And The Beautiful! The location of the house is perfect because it’s in the center of the island close to the marina, the grocery store, and all of the restaurants! The house was equipped with everything and was very clean. The golf carts were probably the nicest we have had on any of our trips to the island. Kate was so kind to even extend my stay at the last minute. I would not hesitate to rent here again.

Fabulous home with beautiful marsh views

We just returned from a week at the Bald and the Beautiful! It was perfect for our family of 10. The house was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and spacious. We loved the reverse floor plan because the teens could sleep in downstairs and we could enjoy the main upper level early in the morning. The porches were fabulous and we spent a lot of time enjoying the porches. We always stay in the forest, but this was our first time facing the marsh and we loved it. The owners couldn’t have been nicer. They were very responsive and helpful. My only complaint…we had to come home.

Great for a family vacation

The house is centrally located and ideal for getting around the island. The layout of the home works well for families, it is equipped with games and books, and the porches have lovely views of the marsh. Kate was very responsive and helpful answering our questions leading up to the trip. As expected with rental homes, it could use a deep clean and updates as it feels very 'lived in'.

Love Bald Head Island

House was centrally located - and we enjoyed our holiday enormously. House has EVERYTHING. Laundry pods, trash bags, and cleaning supplies. There were extra towels and sheets in the laundry room. The house even has a water nowl for dogs. Only concern was there was a broken light (not the owners fault) and the door to the owners closet was open (again, not their fault). We sent photos to the owner and they were very polite and let us know these issues would not be a problem for us. The owner was very responsive when I communted with her. It was lovelt and easy. Thank you for a great vacation!
