Stunning timber frame home on the lake, with boathouse, game room. Sleeps 10.

Camp Kidura is a great destination for families or friends looking for a beautiful escape to relax and explore. With four bedrooms, two lofts and three full baths, this new, luxurious and comfortable Adirondack style home comfortably sleeps 10. Built for entertainment purposes, Camp Kidura has a custom-built kitchen that opens to the great room where it is hard-to miss the spectacular views of the lake and mountains through a wall of windows. The kitchen is fully-equipped and has granite counters with custom, Douglas fir cabinets.

For the warmer days: we have a wrap around deck on the first level of the house, plus a second story deck off of bedroom #2. to provide outdoor living spaces. Plus a stunning rooftop deck on the boathouse - perfect for enjoying an evening meal, or simply enjoying the view.

For the cooler days, we have a large stone fireplace and two wood burning stoves, as well as radiant floor heat.

• Panther Mountain hike – a scenic 1.6 mile round trip hike with spectacular views.
• The new 'Wild Center', the Natural History Museum of the Adirondacks is just minutes away.
• A leisurely canoe ride can take you to explore Upper Saranac Lake, or visit Chapel Island.
• Olympic Village of Lake Placid and Whiteface Mountain are about 30-40 minutes away.
• Historic town of Saranac Lake is a short, 10 - 15 minute drive.
• The Visitor Interpretation Center at Paul Smith’s College is also a short drive.
• The Adirondack Museum is about 45 minutes to an hour away providing a rich and interactive way to learn about the rugged and therapeutic history of this vast state park.

Camp Kidura includes wireless, high-speed internet access (for those that want it), a laundry area with washer and dryer, cable television and smart TV to connect your streaming services. Linens for bedding and bathing are provided.

It is with great excitement and anticipation that we began our memorable times in the Adirondacks. We have built it for years of family fun and memories in mind. We share our home in hopes of other families creating and sharing memories, like ours, for years to come.

Camp Kidura was a great getaway for our group of young families. The main area of the house was perfect to let the kids play and explore and the house had tons of room and amazing views. The boathouse deck was great both day and night, would strongly recommend staying here.

Our family spent a wonderful week at this incredible home on Upper Saranac Lake in July, and it exceeded all of our expectations. The timber-frame construction is absolutely stunning—the exposed woodwork throughout the home gives it so much character and creates a warm, inviting atmosphere. The floor-to-ceiling windows showcase breathtaking views of the lake from nearly every room, making it easy to appreciate the beauty of the Adirondacks no matter the time of day.One of our favorite features was the boathouse with its rooftop deck. We spent countless hours there relaxing, reading, enjoying morning coffee, and watching the sunsets over the lake. It quickly became our favorite gathering spot and offered some of the best views of the property.The location was perfect as well. It was peaceful and secluded while still being an easy drive to both Lake Placid and Saranac Lake, making it convenient to explore the area whenever we wanted. We also loved the cool mountain weather—it was the perfect escape from the summer heat.If you're looking for a beautiful Adirondack getaway with spectacular lake views, unique architecture, and a memorable place to relax with family, this home is hard to beat. We made wonderful memories here and would happily return.

An absolutely beautiful property!

Everything was fantastic except the loft bed was not very comfy. Other than that the property and house are first rate. The owner was helpful and we had no problems! Thanks Allison, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit!

Upon entering the address we found it was an HOA development, not a private address. When entering the property on a 92’degree day all windows were closed and no A/C was available. When considering opening windows some had broken or no screen, many were littered with dead bugs and cobwebs. Many black ants were found dead on the floor though out. Main master bedroom sliding door was broken and did not shut so you could not open for ventilation. A downstairs sliding door had no screen going onto deck, bugs were always coming in. The other main bedroom had NO privacy! The lack of ceiling and floor plan made for a non functional room. You could hear everything throughout the house. Hot water was not available for an afternoon, making showers uncomfortable. The lack of blinds and curtains made sleeping impossible in the rooms facing the water, which had been a selling point. The convenience of the boathouse was overloaded with massive spiders and the need for repairs and updates. The slate roof was cracked and uneven in places. Overall for the cost I was expecting more. The property is closely bordered by others and lacks privacy, updates are needed on the interior as well as the exterior to make it safe and functional.

Great Lake view house

Really nice house with beautiful lake views. High quality kitchen. We rented a pontoon boat from Dunn’s to explore the lake which I highly recommend. Boat gas is currently available by boat at Hickoks although this may be their last year - it is for sale. There is no AC and it would have been nice if there were window fans available, especially in the room above the kitchen.

Beautiful fall getaway

We totally enjoyed our weekend in this lovely Adirondack property! It was such an attractive and comfortable place to be with friends to enjoy the fall beauty of the Adirondacks; also the owner was quite accommodating and everything in the house was "just so". We are so glad to have the chance to stay here!

Beautiful property to enjoy fall foliage, friends and loons

We had our annual mother daughter weekend this year at this beautiful property. There was plenty of outdoor and indoor space for all 5 of us to be together but sleep separately. The home is well equipped. Given the slower season we had total privacy despite other camps being very close. We highly recommend!

Fantastic introduction to the ADKs

We rented this property in conjunction with a family wedding. It was the perfect venue for us, all of whom were visiting the ADKs for the first time. The property was lovely and the views were spectacular. And the proximity to the fantastic Wild Center in Tupper Lake was perfect for the younger members of our clan. Our only wish is to have had more time there. We would highly recommend!

Amazing

We can’t begin to say enough great things about the home. Alison the owner was so helpful, Victoria the property manager was so nice she even arranged a grocery delivery for us. The home is even better than the pictures, beautiful views from every room of the house. Extremely clean and fully stocked for absolutely anything you could need. The boat house was amazing, fish off the dock, canoe, kayak or play shuffleboard in the game room, the roof top deck is great for lake views. We would absolutely recommend Camp Kidura and we will be back again. Thank you Alison and Victoria, what a beautiful home

Beautiful Lake House for a Family Reunion

Camp Kidura is a beautiful home in great condition in a wonderful location. The sheltered cove right out front is perfect for little kids swimming and adults wading. Amenities include canoes, a game room, and a wonderful patio overlooking the lake. Everyone will find something they like here.

Perfect!

Camp Kidura is absolutely beyond wonderful! I brought some friends up to the ADKs to introduce them to the area for the weekend and we had a a lovely time. We came with all sort of plans for weekend activities but the house was so inviting that we somehow managed to not leave it for our entire stay! It's cozy, clean, and very well laid out. I highly highly recommend and am so glad we have an excuse to come back!

Beautiful Home with Amazing Views of the Lake!

Just returned home from a great stay over President’s Day weekend at Camp Kidura. Great home with plenty of room for the whole group. Great views of the frozen lake. Kids had lots of fun playing on the lake. Hoping to return in the Summer to enjoy all the House has to offer during that season.

Tranquility on the lake

Camp Kidura is fantastic! The home itself is beautifully built. Inside is nicely and comfortably furnished. The kitchen has every gadget you could possibly need. The camp is right on the water and I highly recommend spending time on the boat house deck. Easy trips to Lake Placid and Whiteface Mountain. In the evening the call of the loons is an Adirondack lullaby. If you're looking for a place to sit back and unwind this camp should be at the top of your list.

Overall very nice!

We had a lovely time staying at this home with our family. The water and the view were beautiful. The kitchen was well stocked and the house was very clean upon arrival! The large boathouse/deck was great for hanging out by the water with our large family and for docking the boat we rented for the week. Allison was great to work with, as were all the caretakers of the home we met throughout the week! Our only complaints were the beds/linens were not very comfortable, the close proximity to the neighbors, and the outside furniture was not very comfortable and some of it was falling apart. Some loungers and newer chairs would have been great to sit out and enjoy the water. Also, there was no large tv in the main house for everyone to sit around at night and watch. Overall we had a wonderful time with our family enjoying beautiful Upper Saranac Lake!

Everything you could ask for: from helpful caretaker, responsive owner to perfect location and exceptional stocked kitchen. We did not have the best weather. But we did not mind it at all. The home and people are wonderful.

The home was everything the owner portrayed. Allison was easy to work with.

We had a great time. We were greeted with pastries on our arrival. The views were amazing!! Lots of room for us to gather or spread out. Everything worked well and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Homeowner was very helpful with lots of information to make our stay more enjoyable. I would recommend the house.

Fantastic Lake Front Adirondack Home

We just returned home from a fantastic weekend at this home. Thw location is perfectly located on the lake. We can see a future return trip on the horizon late summer early fall. The home is conveniently located within 30 minutes of lake placid and 40 minutes to whiteface. The kitchen is well appointed and has plenty of room for evening meals, entertaining and cocktails. For our next trip to this area we will consider renting this home again.

Amazing house right on a part of Saranac Lake!

Our group stayed at Camp Kidura for an extended weekend get away. From the pictures alone the place looked amazing. When we got there we were even more impressed. The house is absolutely gorgeous with plenty of open space and had everything we would have ever needed. The views around the house in the winter and looking out over the lake were amazing. There are plenty of books and games to keep everyone occupied. The kitchen was very nice and well equipped to cook for decent sized groups. Everything was clean and tidy when we arrived. We all had a wonderful time and would highly recommend Camp Kidura for anyone who wants to stay directly on a lake.

My husband and his brother have incredible childhood memories of spending their summers on a lake with family. We wanted to create similar memories for our children.

When our children were young, they would tell us - 'Camp Kidura is the best place in the whole wide world!'. Now, they look forward to our family visits with great enthusiasm - or any opportunity for them to bring friends to introduce them to the Adirondacks.

We selected the Adirondacks and specifically Upper Saranac Lake because it is a beautiful lake that is large enough to sail, paddle or motor boat - but not crowded or overdeveloped like many other lakes its size. It. Is. Special.

The Adirondacks is a huge park with much to offer. Our location provides a nice mix of activities and scenery without being too remote - grocery store and restaurants are a short drive away.

Upper Saranac Lake is protected by the New York state constitution to keep much of its shorelines "Forever Wild" - so having waterfront property with a boathouse is extra special.

The rooftop deck provides more outdoor living space to enjoy an incredible starry night's sky, enjoy outdoor dinner, or relax with a book.

Inside the boathouse is a game room for kids - young and old - with foosball, a shuffleboard table and a TV.

Bring your own boat(s) or rent one.

The timber frame construction is made of old-growth wood, reclaimed from a forest fire. Other sustainable, energy efficient features include on-demand water heater and in-floor radiant heating.
