Beautifully renovated 3 bedroom, 2-1/2 bath home that sits right on Big Tupper Lake. Enjoy the glassed in water porch or outdoor, spacious deck overlooking the lake and mountains. Some features include an outdoor gas grill, indoor gas fireplace in the lower room, jetted tub in the master bath, sunroom, knotty pine rooms, vaulted ceilings, premium mattresses/bedding, and open concept living area. Close to town; this home has all you need for a restful, enjoyable vacation. For local events and activities, please visit the Tupper Lake website.

Home details:
Main floor has a living room with television, pull-out sofa bed, half-bathroom, kitchen and dining table for 6. Kitchen appliances include a refrigerator, electric range, dishwasher, microwave, and island; also includes pots and pans, plates and silverware. Dining table on the outside deck. Private beach with rock-built fire pit.
Upstairs has a full bathroom, primary bedroom with king-size bed and futon, second bedroom with a queen-size bed.
Lower level has a bedroom/family room with a queen-size bed, queen-size sofa bed, and full bathroom. Clothes washer and dryer are available for guest use.
Towels and bed linens are provided; Home has WiFi and Smart TV, for guests to connect to their own streaming apps.

The lake house

The biews out of the dining area are spectacular of Tupper Lake. We kayaked all week and had a very comfortable stay. Will surely return.

Lake oasis

Spectacular views of the lake and mountains. Very happy with our stay. Great for family Ample room for 6 adults and 2 kids. Pet friendly definately a plus!

Family Memories at Tupper Lake House

The house was great - the setting wonderful. The only suggestion I have would be to put in a grab bar in the upstairs shower to help us older folks be safer in the shower.

A Peaceful Retreat

Our stay at the Lake House was outstanding. The views are amazing. The windows on the main level enable you to see the lake wherever you are sitting. The view from the main bedroom is breathtaking and it was a joy to wake up a nd be able to see the lake and the mountains. The pictures do not do the place justice. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Lake House. It provided a much needed time of rest and peace for us all.

Perfect 10 for the 10 of us!

This was the perfect house for our family. We fished off the dock, went swimming every day, even in the rain. We had enough room for the 10 of us to eat together every meal. Wonderful memories for sure!

Perfect Christmas getaway with a beautiful view!

We just had the most perfect vacation at this lake house! Our family is 3 couples - myself and my husband, my brother and his wife, and our parents, so having 3 full bedrooms with nice size beds was perfect (nobody gets stuck on a couch or in twin beds). And we hate traveling without our dogs, so being able to have them there made it absolutely perfect for us! We had a combined family Christmas & birthday celebration for my mom's 60th, and we couldn't have asked for a better venue. Nice big living room for Christmas morning and family movie nights, great kitchen for making Christmas cookies, and a serene view of the lake. Couldn't have asked for more! Had a little trouble getting the internet going at first as they had a new router, but the owners were quick to help us resolve it and were great to work with, very nice people. We'd definitely stay there again! Maybe sometime in the summer - the frozen lake was a gorgeous backdrop, but it'd be fun to get out on it, too! :)

Bachelor Weekend

Property was excellent to host a bachelor get away on the water. Super close to the golf course and brewery. Amenities and open kitchen living space were excellent to enjoy many laugh over good food and drinks to create lasting memories.

Beautiful spot on Tupper Lake

This was our second year staying at the house, and we loved it just as much. The beautiful views, sunsets on the lake, boating and swimming all make for a great vacation spot.

Perfect location

Best views of Tupper Lake. Having the dock right outside the house was nice as we rented a boat from Dunns boat service and the house is right next to the launch which made it easy to pick up and drop off. Beds were comfortable and house was clean. Loved the little beach with the fire pit. The house is close to town and we really enjoyed our stay here.

Family Vacation

Our 3rd time renting this property. You can’t beat the location and the lake is clean and beautiful. A private beach is such a luxury and loved by all age 3-73 :)

Wonderful place to recharge

We had a fantastic time at this beautiful place on the lake. Being right on the water with a private dock was perfect - boating, fishing, paddle boarding, swimming, and just relaxing on the deck. Our family had not been together since before the pandemic, and this was the perfect place to reunite.

Literally cantilevered over one of the best lake views the Adirondacks has to offer, this property has killer views, ample accommodations, a sandy beach with gradual depth and a new dock for your boat, swimming and sunbathing. Delight.

Best Possible Location

This place is remarkable! What a great location and the house was perfect for our family. This was the location we chose for our family reunion. We had most of our family stay in the house, but then others rented cabins nearby. We were able to enjoy time with our family with great views, great location and great accommodations. Being in Tupper Lake put us very close to Saranac Lake and Lake Placid without the higher prices. We also have family in the Potsdam/Canton area and this put us in a pretty central location. The Village of Tupper Lake has plenty to enjoy. There are some great restaurants, shops and of course our favorite, the Washboard Donut Shop!! The open floor plan allowed for us all to enjoy time together without feeling cramped and loud. The outside deck was wonderful and for the most part the weather cooperated. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were like sleeping on clouds!!! The only challenge we had was were weren't there long enough. :-)

Winter get away

Had a great stay at the lake house for our winter/ski get away. The house is nicely appointed with all we needed. Plenty of room for everyone and a great view of the lake. Lake placid is close by and within an hours drive so is gore mt and Titus mountain both are great for skiing. The hosts were only a phone call away if we needed anything, which we didn't but was nice knowing we had access to them if needed.

Mike and Lauren Gillis are natives of Tupper Lake. Mike recently retired from his position as Product Support and Service Manager for Waratah--a division of John Deere Worldwide. Mike left this position that he enjoyed immensely to assist his wife Dr. Lauren Gillis develop The Justice Center—a not-for-profit. The impetus for The Justice Center was Dr. Lauren’s work with persons struggling with serious mentally illness and substance abuse in community mental health centers, psychiatric hospitals and prisons. It was Dr. Lauren’s prison work that involved implementing different programs—such as the Behavioral Health Unit-- that eventually led her into matriculating at Antioch NE into a clinical psychology program. Since Dr. Gillis completed her program in 2017, both Mike and Dr. Lauren devote their time and energies in creating alternatives to fund the vision and mission of The Justice Center, “On The Way” (see below about what is Unique to this property) such as The Way to Stay. Mike and Lauren began The Way to Stay in 2016, identifying special properties such as The Lake House where you are literally on the water so that our guests have a very special time with family and friends. We are as devoted to our guests as we are to those we are working for. Please feel free to contact Mike or Lauren if you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions.
