We never like to disappoint Guests, who stay at our Beach House. In the 14 years we have been renting it, we have not gotten a rating less than 5 Stars … until this one. These Guests stay there for 10 days over the Holidays. During their stay we checked with them often, “is everything OK? Any Questions? Do you need fresh towels? Etc. They never had a complaint, until after they departed. Then, I got a call saying that the shower was slow to drain (this must be the “needs to be updated” comment). It took me less than 10 minutes outside the cottage to free the clog from the drain. We have no idea where the “dirty” comment came from because they never complained about that either. Before each Guest arrives our Housekeeper spends hours cleaning this 850 sq. foot Beach House. She’s been our Housekeeper for all 14 years and this is the 1st “dirty”complaint. If they had told us about this issue, we could have had our Housekeeper return while they were away visiting friends & family in Tacoma. We still don’t know where they found the dirt, so we can’t advise our Housekeeper. Because we liked them and the inside was left clean, I gave them a 5-Star rating. In retrospect, I should have rated them a 3-Star for Communication and House Rules (another issue we had with them). Too late!
