Intimately Charming on Gig Harbor's Historical Waters

Romantically situated on the water directly across from downtown Gig Harbor, lovely 2 bedroom, 2 bath home. Covered deck off the kitchen with gas barbeque and sitting area.
Sit on the deck and enjoy the sunset and a glass of wine and watch the sail boat races on Thursdays, listen to music in the park on Tuesdays or enjoy the movies in the park on Saturdays.
Gig Harbor was listed as one of the top 20 Best Small Towns in America of 2012.

Home has a large deck with panoramic views of the harbor, a hot tub to relax in and a shared dock to kayak from. Two kayaks are available for your use. Just a 1.5 mile walk to many restaurants, Morso Wine Bar, Market Grill, Anthony's and Devoted Kiss. A 2 mile walk to the main area of down town and a 3 mile walk to The Tides Tavern.
Take the Trolley to Uptown, visit Gig Harbors new spirits distillery, Heritage Distillery. Back on the harbor enjoy a Destiny Harbor boat tour.
You can paint your own pottery at Java and Clay cafe in downtown or sit and relax as boat traffic moves in and out of the harbor at Skansie Brothers Park in downtown. The Maritime Gig Festival is the first full weekend in June beginning with a parade on Saturday morning and ending with the Blessing of the Fleet in Skansie Brothers park on Sunday.
Your stay will end with lasting memories of the many activities you enjoyed or the relaxing moments sitting over the harbor.

Wonderful! The property is lovely. Well located, very clean and stocked really well. The linens are great, the host is gracious, leaving fresh bread and flowers. Definitely recommend and happy to stay here again. Thanks Dianne!

Peaceful retreat!

The location and view was perfect enjoyed the deck and all the beautiful flowers. Dianne was great to work with and we had everything we needed for a great escape from the heat of AZ. Enjoyed the pumpkin bread as an added treat. Would highly recommend if looking for a place on the harbor.

Awesome!

Gorgeous views, quiet, relaxing, super clean, well maintained and stocked with everything you need. Dianne was a wonderful host, great communication, accommodating and thoughtful. Loved watching the sunset every night from the hot tub. We can't wait to return. This is by far our favorite VRBO.

The cupboards have spices, the garden is cared for like a retreat, and the beds are truly comfortable — because she’s chosen them herself. Unlike the corporate “vanilla” rentals that feel staged and impersonal, Dianne’s place feels lived in, loved, and generously shared. It’s not just a place to stay. It’s a place to come back to.

Great views, quiet and private

Loved this place. I've stayed at Gig Harbor previously but this was right on the Harbor. We ate outside most meals. I especially enjoyed sitting outside with a glass of wine watching the activities on the water. I stayed there with my 3 Grandchildren and it was great as I haven't seen them for almost a year. I will be back next year! Joanne

Can’t wait to go back

This was the nicest VRBO property we’ve ever rented. The location is wonderful, the view stunning, the house warm and inviting. Spotlessly clean with thoughtful touches like fresh flowers in the bathroom, homemade pumpkin bread, coffee and wine to welcome us. The house is equipped with everything we could have ever needed. We visited with another couple to attend a small reunion of dear friends. Our homebase was a friend’s home in Gig Harbor. We would like to go back and spend a lot more time enjoying all the activities available at the house and in Gig Harbor. Thank you!

Beautiful view. Comfortable house. Great host.

This waterfront home was a great spot for hosting out of town family members, and we thoroughly enjoyed this house and it’s sensational harbor view. Our host, Dianne, is helpful and gracious and welcomed us with wine, fresh bread and a stocked pantry. The layout encourages relaxing with friends/family, perhaps after a few hours of exploration, and activity in the harbor is never-ending entertainment. The kitchen is beyond well-equipped, reading material and games aplenty are at hand, the furnishings are all comfortable and Dianne seems to have thought of just about everything. Highly recommended. (Just please don't book it when we want to come back.)

million dollar view

This is a very comfortable and cozy house perched on a hillside directly on the water with a spectacular view of the harbor and downtown across the water. Winding path down to a couple of chairs and a chiminea style firepit down by the water. Also access to a big dock with 2 kayaks and a SUP to use. Wildlife everywhere. Rabbits in the yard, deer up and down the street, Bald Eagles walking the beach at low tide, and 3 harbor seals even took over the dock one afternoon and evening to rest. Lots of deck space, but our favorite spot at night was the little side deck area; the small table top gas firepit was just enough to knock the cool off at night. Had a great time and would rent again.

Relaxing Paradise with stunning views

My parents live in Gig Harbor and enjoy staying in rental homes near Gig Harbor when I visit twice a year. After 12 years - I have found it- the perfect place to stay - the host is super friendly and attentive, the property location is close to downtown , peaceful, and private. Inside the home is clean and comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked and equipped to serve an elegant dinner party. This is an ideal place for families and friends to gather and enjoy the multiple decks and the semi enclosed patio with a fire pit. My daughter and brother’s nephew kayaked with the other small boats on the bay.I felt grateful that the host kindly opened her home to us. I was able to put my lap top away, read a book, make homemade clam chowder, and watch the sunset on the bay - paradise!

Best location in Gig Harbor!

Great location with amazing harbor views. We were able to kayak in the harbor every day, see the seals, and enjoy the local restaurants. Home was clean, very well stocked, and the host left us the most delicious bread and wine. Highly recommend and we would definitely book again!

Another great stay in a beautifully maintained property with the perfect host!

Of the many VRBO properties we have stayed at, the property is perfectly maintained (cleanliness, amenities, landscaping, etc.) and Dianne has everything dialed-in and is continually investing in the property to make it even nicer. We were two days into our first stay in March before we grabbed the last week in the summer, and are already thinking about when we can come back in the fall.

Dazzled.

I just spent 18 very happy days in this jewel of a home with its stunning 180 degree view of the harbor. The floor plan is so well thought out that I even had views from the kitchen and the bedroom! The house is tastefully decorated with upgrades throughout. One huge plus is that the house and the lovely upper terrace are all on the same level which made it easy for my 96 yr old Mother to move about. Super host Dianne seemed to have thought of everything that her guests might need from flashlights being handily available to even providing a « freshen up » in the middle of my stay. Any questions were answered promptly and with courtesy.. I normally don’t write reviews but I was so dazzled that I feel compelled to do one. I will definitely be returning for another stay.

Exceeds all expectations

This was our second stay at this wonderful property. I cannot emphasize enough just how nice this place is. The host leaves lots of supplies in the kitchen, which is very much appreciated for weary travelers. Superb value. By far the best rental we have ever stayed at.
