Immaculate Cedar Wood-Sided Cabin in Cascade Mountain Resort w/ Dramatic Views

Charming, incredibly private, cedar cabin at the end of a gated community with a panoramic view of the Piedmont and surrounding mountains. Close to the Blue Ridge Parkway in Fancy Gap, VA. Cabin with 3 bedrooms and a large master sleeping loft. Sleeps 6 adults. Bedroom on the main level has a full bath and bedroom with a queen-sized bed. The upstairs master loft is a huge room with queen size bed, walk in closet and private bath. The lower level has 2 bedrooms, a full bath, and den. The house also features a well-equipped kitchen with granite countertops, great room with gas fireplace, glider chair deck and patio. Decorated quaintly with pine paneling, wood floors, and carpet throughout. On hot summer days, when the sun disappears over the mountain to the west and the Piedmont and mountains east are still bathed in sunlight, the temperature drops to a comfortable level for relaxing on the porch. Relax and enjoy the view.

We supply basic cooking condiments, soap, toilet paper and paper towels. Two hours from Charlotte; 2.5 hours from Raleigh. Mountain road is part of the adventure. Great mountain biking even in the community. Amenities include: Gated Community, Swimming Pool, Tennis Courts, Lake to Fish, Playground, Common Area.

Area attractions include music, music, music, historic Mayberry/Mt. Airy, Pilot Mountain, Chateau Morrisette winery and other wineries, cideries, meaderies, and many golf courses. Close to endless music festivals on the Blue Ridge Parkway and Galax and the Crooked Road music trail, hiking, fishing, kayaking, horseback riding, New River Trail nearby. Antique shopping. Great roads for mountain biking. $5 blue grass concert live radio show every Friday at the Rex Theater in downtown Galax, 1/2 hour from the cabin. Less than an hour's drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway to Floyd, VA.

Please note 5.3% tax includes state and county sales tax collected and remitted by VRBO. We are required to also collect the Carroll County transient occupancy tax of 5% which has been added to the daily base rate.

This was a perfect place for our girls’ getaway to spend time together and catch up , as well as disconnect a little (cell service was not the best ). We had plenty of space to have our own rooms but gather in the kitchen , the living room, around the table and on the porch, enjoying the gorgeous view! The sunrises were amazing !! The kitchen is well stocked with whatever you need to cook and entertain with , check in was easy, and Becky was a great communicator! Would love to stay here again . We even caught a quick bear sighting !

We booked a weekend stay to visit Mt Airy NC. It was a very nice place to take your family and just get away. We did have ATT cell service up there which we were a little worried about. We just regret not booking a few days longer. Becky, the owner was fabulous!

Annual Military Reunion of 5 Vets

Excellent layout and appointment of the house for 5 men for 4 days. Views off the deck were excellent. Beds and furniture were very comfortable. Family room provided a great place for conversation. The only recommendation I have is to add WiFi.

Spectacular views

We really enjoyed our stay - close to Mt. Airy where we walked around the town and took a Mayberry Patrol car tour, had a blast. Everything we needed was in the home and that is how we felt, like it was home. Great place!

Labor Day 2024

Nice Mountain Home in Fancy Gap, Virginia. Very quiet and beautiful scenery. Convenient to Hillsville Labor Day Gun Show and Flea Market. The cabin sits in a nice gated community, off of the Bel Ridge Parkway. Definitely would rent again.

Beautiful setting

The setting is beautiful and the house totally comfortable and homey. Becky was an amazing host--always available and really personable. Lots of room for a crowd with a place for the kids. Highly recommend.

Beautiful View from a Grand A Frame

Generous, very accommodating Host. Very spacious home. The view is quite beautiful. We had plenty of room to spread out. The community pool was a blast for us. Our stay was a short but very enjoyable weekend.

View from the Woods

We came to the area for music and wine, but even more so for relaxing with friends and to enjoy the view over the Piedmont to the south. The property had an excellant view looking at Pilot Mountain, the night skies and stars were great, sunrises off to the east provided pink streaks as the sun rose contrasted with patchy ground fog in the valley, couldn't have asked for more.

Weekend Getaway

Becky was extremely nice and provided wonderful communication! She gave great instructions and kept us well informed! The description of the home was accurate and it was very clean! View from the deck was beautiful!! The beds were quiet firm... but some prefer firm beds :). Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful view

Our favorite part of our stay was the deck and the beautiful view. We loved the house but the deck is where everyone wanted to be. Close to Mayberry which we had so much fun visiting, touring and exploring. Enjoyed Blue Ridge Parkway and our stops at Mabry Mill and Pilot Mountain. Hope to be able to return again! Becky is an amazing host!

Mayberry Fun at Mountain Retreat

This property is amazing! This is best view in Cascade trail. Becky was great to communicate with and made everything very easy. Relaxing in the middle of nature and not far from local antiques, farmers markets and food. Not to mention Mt.Airy Andy Griffiths home town

Memorable Birthday Weekend

It was an amazing birthday weekend with our grown kids and grandbabies. Weather was perfect! Played outside when it was 70 on Saturday then woke up on Sunday to 35 and snow! Absolutely beautiful weekend with plenty of space for all of us! QT family getaway!

Beautiful Views

Ms. Becky was a grand hostess...she communicated very well and was attentive! The Cabin was clean, kitchen well stocked, and the views were spectacular!!! It was wonderful to enjoy our meals on the deck with such an amazing view of God's handiwork. But you can enjoy those views from the inside of the house as well:)

My husband, three children, and I reside in Clayton, North Carolina, a short 3 hours away. We use the cabin as often as possible, but also love to share it with others. For several years I was a special educator and school administrator. I currently work as a Community Education Specialist and teach courses on health and well being. We love the yard, the porch and the view along with the close proximity to so many festivals, history and events.

Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade

We fell in love with Fancy Gap's views one Thanksgiving. We rented a similar cabin and thought we needed to own a little slice of Heaven. What we love about Cascade Trail is the view! We also love the amenities this gated community provides for our family. The temperature is always at least ten degrees below any place else within miles. Our home is within a 3 hour drive which we can do on most weekends. We are only five miles down the Parkway from Highway 52 and convenient to Highway 77.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

We are the very last home in the gated community. No road noise and peaceful, breathtaking views. The day we took ownership of the home we watched 7 deer meander in someone's yard. The wild flowers and vegetation are like nowhere else.
