Hi, thanks for the feedback and nice review. We are glad to hear your group enjoyed your getaway at our home. You're right, there are some great courses in the area - including beautiful and affordable Olde Mill right down the road to Primland, one of the nicest courses in the US and just down the Blue Ridge Parkway. Thank you for the way you treated and left our home during / after your stay, our cleaning team was especially complimentary. We appreciate that and welcome you back any time. Hi, thank you for taking the time to leave a nice review. We appreciate the kind words and are happy to hear you and your family had a great holiday at our home. Some of our best guest experiences involve the large, multi-generational family gatherings to celebrate a special occasion like birthday, graduation, anniversary, holiday, etc. And as you point out, having room to spread out and find as much privacy and downtime as desired really enables everyone to decompress and relax. Thank you for leaving things in great order, you and your family are always welcome back – we do have repeat guest discounts. Take care, Andy and Kim Smith

Thank you Rob. We appreciated having you and your group. If you come again, you may want to bring a smoker. I would have never thought that you could make a grill work as a smoker. I had never thought of purchasing one, but will put on my bucket list for the next item needed. George Gehl

Hello, thank you for taking the time to leave such a nice review. We are glad to hear you and your group of friends from college enjoyed your stay at our home while reconnecting. We agree that the scenery around the hot tub is magnificent, the view down the mountain stream is like a postcard. The size of our home and property really lends itself to groups the size of yours - plenty of space to reconnect and catch up but also ample opportunities for some quiet time and solace if desired. We appreciate the way you left things at check out and happy to hear you'd consider staying at our home again - you are welcome back at any time. Thanks, Andy and Kim Smith

Hi, thanks for leaving a review, we enjoyed having you stay and appreciate the way your group left things after your departure. The hiking trail up the mountain is a year round path but the summer heat and rain cause it to get grown up like the rest of the woods and terrain on the mountain this time of year . During the summer it is a little more of an adventure until the fall comes and it thins back out. In the winter it is more akin to a single lane road bed than hiking trail. We hope you can visit again sometime. Thanks, Andy and Kim Smith

Hi, thank you for the thoughtful review. We are glad to hear everyone enjoyed their time at our property. We're also happy to hear you'll be back, you and your family are always welcome. Take care, Andy and Kim Smith

We are pleased to learn that you had a wonderful time in spite of the Spring storm. It does give us family time to play games, sit in front of the fireplace and actually set down the technology and talk to each other. It is truly great to just get away! George & Linda

Hi, thanks for the review. We are glad your group had a good time at our home and enjoyed the kitchen and amenities - it is one of our favorite parts of the home. Regarding the "5th bedroom", that's the first time we have received any sort of feedback about that area but you are correct, it is not a completely private room with a door that closes it off from the rest of the basement. That's why we have the description listed as "Open floor plan with twins, shares bottom floor full bath". Maybe we should consider adding a divider of some sort to increase privacy, something to think about, thanks. Thanks, Andy and Kim Smith
