Mountain Getaway

Our family of four really enjoyed this home. It was secluded and was a great place to relax. The kids loved the hot tub and we all loved the new game room in the basement. The views were great too! Highly recommend for a family or group of friends!

Great skiing getaway

We had a wonderful stay at the Smokies Overlook Lodge. The beds are very comfortable and the home has everything you want in a mountain getaway. The hot tub and sauna were the PERFECT way to end a day of skiing and the kids LOVED the game room. Thank you.

Loved our stay

I took my fiancé here for a romantic weekend and had a fabulous time. Property is secluded (without being remote) and offers a ton of privacy. Short distance to town in a great area. Sergio was super easy to communicate with and provides all you need at the cabin and then some. Would highly recommend!!

Whole family get away

We had a great time here. The beds were memory foam the adults loved to view and peace. The teens loved the game from and the Littles loved the kids room. No complaints at all.

Thank you so much for your kind words, Gabriel! It was a true pleasure to host you and your husband, and we really wish to see you again soon, you were amazing guests. When we purchased this property last year, the location was our favorite part, because, while it is relatively secluded at the end of a private road, away from any neighbor, it is also not too far from a paved road, so you can quickly get to the main attractions. There were other options that were more secluded, but they required a 20+ minutes drive in a mountain road, which was not ideal for us. We felt this was the ideal balance, but, definitely, some people may want an even more secluded experience, in which case there are probably better options. Thanks again for your feedback!

Stayed here for a week in May/June. The cabin was AMAZING! The pictures did not do it justice. The game room was a hit with the kids. Owner was very responsive.

Great views, well laid out

We had a great time at Sergio's cabin. The mountain view (especially from the hot tub) was awesome. Getting up the hill was no problem, even on raindy days with a 2WD Honda Civic. There's not much to do immediately nearby, but the surroundings are still beautiful and the kitchen was well equipped with cookware, essentials, and spices. It's not far from great hikes and a small town with restaurants, breweries and golf. Would definitely visit again!

Great mountain retreat!

I rented this cabin for a family ski weekend but got sick just before so my husband and a neighbor decided to make it a father’s and sons trip! With 6 boys ages 13- 24 and 2 dads this was the perfect spot! They had a blast playing in the game room with plenty to do for everyone. Large table for everyone to sit and enjoy their meals together. The beds were great and they really enjoyed the hot tub. Sergio was incredible with communication. Everyone said they definitely want to stay here again! Next time I will make it too!

Perfect place

Excellent property. The view isn't justified by the pictures and is much much better in person. The cabin is exactly as described and the cleanest property I have stayed in. Sergio was 100% helpful and responded immediately. The location was perfect for accessing the Blue Ridge Parkway and in a couple turns you are on the road to Cataloochee Valley. Waynesville and Maggie Valley are within 20 minutes along with whatever you may need. We will be back here in the future.

Perfect for a family get-away!

We had a wonderful stay at Smokies Overlook Lodge right as the leaves were hitting peak this fall. The cabin was perfect for us - a family of 4 traveling with one set of grandparents. The kids loved the bunkbed room and playing "hide-and-seek" in a new place :) The place had everything we needed for a trip into the mountains. We enjoyed family meals all together at the large table, cuddled up on the couch to read stories, sat out on the beautiful back porch to roast marshmallows, hang in the hot tub and just enjoy the views. We were close enough to many activities and it was easy to get to the main roads into the park. We went apple picking, horseback riding, gem-panning and took a long hike in Cataloochee valley. The hosts were wonderful and sent us lots of information prior and easy to communicate with. Everything was clean and perfect when we arrived. Couldn't have asked for a better trip out into the mountains! It was a much needed break in a beautiful place and I know our kiddos will have wonderful memories of being out there. Hope we can come out again soon!

Best Experience So Far

This is our first cabin stay and Sergio has set the bar pretty high for our next stay now :-). There are a lot of small conveniences beyond what has been described - a set of marshmallows for roasting, multiple types of cables for charging devices, an umbrella in case of rain (which is pretty frequent in the season), a few additional beach chairs in case needed, extra sets of pillows and the list goes on. These are well thought through and have proven extremely helpful. We had a lot of questions, this being our first trip and responses were prompt and to the point. We even got additional recommendations on places around to visit. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for cabins in this area. Its secluded with enough privacy but not too far from the road. We've parked three cars with no issues. TVs are there in three levels, along with bluetooth enabled speakers in the balcony. All the amenities shown are working with no glitches. Kudos to the host for the awesome maintenance and support.

Great experience

Our experience staying at the Smokies Overlook Lodge was fantastic. The host provided very clear and detailed information about the cabin and property that made the check-in process and our arrival and departure very easy. The lodge is very secluded and had all the ammenities we needed. We had one issue with our code to unlock the door upon arrival, but the host made sure he was available when we planned to arrive and immediately resolved the issue. The game room was amazing for the kids... and dad. The hot tub and grill were very clean. We would definitely recommend this property and host.

Great get away with fun game room.

We had an amazing time at the cabin. Sergio was in communication with us the whole time. If I had a question or concern he replied within a very reasonable time. It was great to play all the (non-video) games with the family. I actually think it sparked a new ‘game night’ for us as a family. The hot tub was very enjoyable. Great remote get away with great memories. Highly recommended!

Annual NC trip

We enjoyed our time at Sergio's Cabin, we arrived right at check in time and the property manager and cleaning staff were done, the property was clean and everything was in working order... the Jacuzzi had new water (which took some time to heat up) but well worth the few hours wait. We had an issue with the TV starting up (user error) and Sergio via text walked us thorough it. Lastly, we had an unrelated issue to our car, as our car battery died in the driveway, we reached out to Sergio and the property manager and they were very attentive, they managed to get someone out to Jump the car, however the neighbor down the road beat them to it :) , we called the PM and let her know that we were all set... We were very appreciative of the attentiveness of Sergio and the property manager.. We try to explore a new location every year, but we may just make this one our future family gathering spots :) Thanks so much & well done!

Nice property

This is a great property. Lots of amenities. Great playroom. The view is great. The only drawback is the path to the property. You really need a four wheel drive or all wheel drive

Excellent Cabin and a great property management

This cabin is great, it has an awesome view of the mountains, very clean, with all you need to have a family vacation. The communication with the property management was more than excellent it was perfect. We definitely recommend this place if you want a get away at the Smoky Mountains. It does take 30 to 45 minutes to get into the National Park but it is definitely worth it because the cabin is far away from the craziness and is very peaceful.

Beautiful clean and private

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin. It was beautiful and clean in a private setting. The road can take a little getting used to if your not used to mountain roads but we were in a Yukon and got up it no problem and didn’t need four wheel drive. Not too far from Maggie Valley or Waynesville. Everything seemed to be within 20 minutes. Thanks for everything!
