Enter the Blue Ridge and Great Smoky Mountains and leave the commotion of the inner city, urban life to enjoy the serenity of a horse farm (you will have the whole cottage to yourself). Central to all the mountains offer. Close to several Event Venues and Asheville, NC. Location makes a great Basecamp for all the indoor and outdoor adventures of the mountains: hiking, waterfalls, ziplining, white water rafting, canoeing, and kayaking limited only by your imagination.

Located 8 miles from Asheville with exceptional local music, street fairs, history, museums, guided tours, Biltmore Estate, and eclectic downtown to shop local artists.

The barn loft overlooks the farm and is roomy with queen bed, full size sleeper sofa, full kitchen, private deck on a gated property with horses, large pond and mountain views. I live here because I love the lifestyle and know you will be entranced.

The host imposes no additional fees or charges. Any additional fees other than the listed prices are imposed by VRBO or state and county taxes. As hosts we provide clean, disinfected rooms and service, privacy and respect. In return, our guests care for and leave the cottage in good condition.

Overall we had a great stay at the barn. It was very clean, had everything we needed, and was a beautiful and peaceful property. Loved watching the horses and donkey every morning and saying hello to the friendly kitty. Our only feedback is the beds (full size bed and sofa bed) were not very comfortable and very squeaky but we still enjoyed our stay.

It was just what we were looking for. Away from busy. It was perfect to sit out on the deck and just hear sounds of nature. Gorgeous views of mountain. Friendly farm animals. Great host. The only downside for us, the bed was too soft and the shower a bit small. Overall, just what we were looking for in our get-away from everything.

The accuracy of the listing could be improved. It should be clear that the property is a working farm and that people will be on the property during your stay.

I'm sorry that you were expecting to spend the weekend on a horse farm with no one there to care for the horses. I would hope at that point you would be reporting the property owners for not caring for their animals. We only interacted one time and that was when you needed help locking a door. I don't know if you laid eyes on me, but I never saw you again so I am confident that you were not greatly intruded upon. Allow me to suggest that if you want to rent a property and see no other person while you were there, a good time to ask that will be before you make the reservation.

What a great place to stay

Very clean, well stocked, awesome location, has a pond, large deck, (opened and covered), horses running around, very secluded and very quiet at night, great view of the mountains

Great location

This peaceful little place is convenient to go to Asheville and shop/explore, but is perfect to come back to. The animals are sweet and the surrounding area is beautiful. We loved our time here.

Heaven in earth

Ecxelent location. Close to restaurants, grocery stores and Asheville. The host is super nice and the place is a peaceful retreat. I went with my wife to have some relax time and we without doubt did.

Cozy Cottage

Stay was nice! Host gave great directions that should be followed when entering the property, GPS showed a different/incorrect path. No complaints, would stay here again if we come back to the area.

Relaxing weekend getaway

We loved our weekend getaway to Asheville and the property was one of our favorite things! Loved looking at the horses, donkey and pony running in the pastures. Laurie was an excellent host when we got a chance to chat with her Very peaceful and serene location. Loved our evenings sitting on the porch and looking at the scenery. Definitely recommend and would stay again.

Wonder accommodations.

Quite and relaxing cottage with great views of the surrounding mountains beautiful pastures and pond. The cottage was very comfortable, clean, and equipped with everything we needed. Laurie was a fantastic host and that made our stay even better.

Quiet peaceful getaway

I love the mountains and all the many activities associated with my area. Endless outdoor adventures , phenomenal, culinary experiences, amazing history.
There is a two week maximum stay. There is a minimum tonight stay but I highly recommend at least a four night stay just break the surface of how much there is to do here.
