This cottage has a lot of history and character, as it was originally built in the late 1800s as a small bar for early pioneers in the area. It has since been preserved as a simple, rustic riverside retreat. While it isn’t a modern luxury cabin, many of our guests love its unique charm and peaceful setting. That said, we appreciate your feedback regarding maintenance and cleanliness, and we are always working to improve while maintaining the cottage’s historic character. We do wish you had contacted us during your stay, as many of the concerns you mentioned—such as the hot tub temperature, missing kitchen items, soap, trash disposal, and questions about the water—could have been addressed quickly while you were at the property. Our goal is always for our guests to have a comfortable and enjoyable mountain getaway, and we appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention.
