UPDATE - exciting things coming this Winter (2026). The house has been gutted and being updated to high fashion! You’re going to be amazed! Grab your reservation before rates go up accordingly. OCEAN FRONT house with large back deck to watch those beautiful ocean waves!

498 Tarpon is a 2 story, Peaceful Pink Paradise with Large windows and sliding glass doors that provide unobstructed views of the Atlantic Ocean.

Open floor plan with 2nd story loft with private bathroom, sitting area, pull out sofa, and a deck for star gazing.

Situated on a large lot with plenty of space for parking and large garage area available for your parking needs as well.

Play on the beach all day, enjoy a outside shower on the deck, and then sit in the adirondack chairs while watching the sun set & dolphins swim by.

A few notes about the island - We are club members which means that the Club amenity cards are available for purchase.


***The Fripp Island Club requires amenity cards for you to frequent their amenities. These amenities include golfing, playing tennis, going to the restaurants on Fripp, going to the swimming pools and the fitness room.
The amenity card prices for stays that are 1-4 days are $35 during the summer months and $25 during Fall, Winter and Spring.
The amenity card prices for stays that are 5-8 days are $50 during the summer months and $35 during Fall, Winter and Spring.
If you do want to purchase the amenity cards, the resort will add an additional island fee of 13% to your rental to use their amenities. This will be added to your weekly stay at time of amenity card purchase.
Each guest 13 years or older must carry an amenity card to access the Club's facilities.
There are a few places on Fripp Island that you do not need an amenity card. SpringTide Market is at the front of the island that has a large menu at their deli. From breakfast sandwiches to family BBQ meals, there is a lot to choose from. There is also a deli at the Marina that serves sandwiches and salads. The Fripp Ship and Mango stores are fun to go into for your perfect souvenir. You do not need an amenity card for golf cart, kayak, bike, etc. rentals as there are an abundance of companies who offer rental services that will deliver to you.

Please be considerate of our loggerhead sea turtles. May - October turn off lights at 10pm on beach side of the house so turtles can nest.
If sand dollars are white, they are okay to pick up and collect. Green or brown, they are typically alive and need to be left alone.
Our deer are GREAT. Feeding them people food makes them sick. Please do not feed our deer.

It’s amazing!!! This view!! It’s really so hard to describe just how incredible it is but once you see it, you will sit there all week watching those gorgeous waves roll in and roll out and the sky change colors throughout the day you sunrise and sunset. A perfect way to unwind and enjoy the beautiful Atlantic Ocean up close without even getting sandy!! Thanks for staying with us. We appreciate it, Kathy

We loved the deck and ocean views. The decor was dated but comfortable. The location was perfect with easy walks to the beach to see turtles and sunsets .

Fripp Family Vacation

Great location

Fantastic, Relaxing Stay

Our favorite beachfront house on Fripp. Ideal for R&R and enjoying the wildlife. Views of the sunrises and sunsets are hard to beat. Property hosts are very responsive and welcoming. Couldn’t be better in our opinion. Perfect.

Beautiful house!

This house was so amazing, perfect amount of space and the perfect location. The ocean was so close! Everything in the house worked correctly and it was very clean when we arrived.

October 2020 family trip

Your property’s location is excellent. We had 6 adults, a 2 year old and 5 month old. Plenty of room for all. Was a great location for a family vacation! Love the deer, love Fripp!

Love, love, love! We’ve visited Fripp many times over 30 years. This house quickly became our favorite. Our host Kathy was quick to respond, the house was spacious and well appointed. Best location with a nearly private beach. Grandkids loved the wide beach and searching for crabs. Can’t wait till next year!

April vacation

I, my husband, MIL, 8 year old daughter and 12 year golden retriever stayed her for April vacation for the 2nd time. It was absolutely lovely and relaxing. Rooms were spacious and clean. Kitchen was well stocked with all the supplies needed to cook. You can’t beat the location, right on the beach and quiet! Can’t wait to come back!

My family and I enjoyed this great house on beautiful Fripp Island! I highly recommend it for others to stay there. It is very comfortable for 3 couples with or without children. Fourth bedroom is loft with little privacy. The house was well equipped with whatever you may need! Overall, our stay was very enjoyable!

Super easy beach access

Great views, very easy quick beach access. While babies napped inside I was still able to see family on the beach and enjoy views from large deck facing ocean. House was very clean! I gave four stars only because, if the kitchen and furniture were updated this would definitely be a five star stay. Kitchen is well stocked. There is plenty of lounge space for down time for a family of 10. We would stay here again, for sure!!

The owners are very fond of the their furniture and kitchen as are represented in the photographs 😊 We did update the house this past winter and everyone has found it very enjoyable. Of all of the homes I have had the honor of touring, the view, location of the beach and watching the mesmerizing ocean waves from this house, inside and out, cannot be beat! Thanks, Kathy

Family beach trip

This is our 3rd year at the pink palace. We love the location. We love the proximity to the beach and the beauty of waking up with the waves and sunrise with a cup of coffee. Great place to hang with our adult kids. After three years, we thought we would have an update on appliances and things like icemaker. The place is outdated for the price that they are charging.

Ouch! Ok…We replaced the refrigerator and added a new ice maker just yesterday, actually right after you left. The stove/oven is a Jennair and works perfectly fine. The dishwasher is fairly new. So all things are completely functional. We do have plans to remodel the kitchen this winter. So check out us for next summer. We will give you a discount since you’re a repeat and you were not completely 5 star satisfied. But remember…. The listing pictures do tell the story. If the picture of the kitchen looks the same as when you rented before, it should not be a surprise that it is still the same as the previous 2 years.

Long Weekend at the Pink Palace

The location of this property is wonderful, with beautiful views and easy beach access. The deck overlooking the beach is a delightful place to sit. The arrangement of the house is good for family groups - 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms downstairs, and a loft with a bed and bathroom. The living area can accommodate about 8 people easily, and the dining table is huge. The house could use some updates and repairs, but there was nothing that interfered with our enjoyable weekend.

Thank you for the list of items that you found that we could repair and make things even better for our guests. Ocean front houses are so beautiful but the salt air takes a toll on the hardware of the outdoor fixtures, etc. Thank you again for your comments. We will have the slider working with more ease and hopefully each and every Adirondack chair will be restored to beauty!

Hello 2020!!!

We spend 4 nights and 5 days closing out 2019 and ringing in 2020. The home was comfortable, colorful and completely met our needs for being close to nature, doing some good cooking in the kitchen and spending time just relaxing and being together. We would definitely stay here again and hope to come back to Fripp Island.

Paradise on the beach

Amazing! Amazing! Amazing in every way. The house was recently updated to perfection. The views, quiet, sunrises and beautiful beach did not disappoint. We love this vacation spot so much we will be back again and again. Thank you to Kathy for being such a responsive and accommodating property manager. Needless to say this is our happy place for years to come.

Family vacation

Our second year at the Pink Palace. Couldn't have a better Fripp Island beach location. Coffee on the porch watching the waves and dolphins in the surf is a great way to start the day. Noticed some of the updates from last year including the linens, ceiling fans, and new paint. Kitchen is appropriately equipped. Love the outdoor shower. Already looking forward to next year.

The view from the Deck! The BEST!

2nd Time at the Pink House. New paint and carpet upgrades were nice and new! Kathy Folds is a great person to cover our needs. The only concern was a new toaster would be helpful, the one that is available burns on the right side. But the oven broiler works well instead! We hope to come back next year!
