Beginning of June Rental - Felt like a private beach.

We had a fantastic time! The kitchen was beautiful. The kitchen and living room areas had unbelievable views. Host was helpful when questions came up - quick responses. Our family had a fantastic time perfect location to beach, little skippers and acme. We were able to get to attractions quickly but also enjoyed peace and quiet.
I took this picture of the house from the top of the dune, the next picture was the view from the exact same point of the beach walk. Enjoyable. :)

Great beachfront property!

My family (wife, 3 sons and their wives/girl friend & me) had a fantastic extended Memorial weekend here. Nothing better than waking up and having a beautiful view of the waves crashing on the beach and dolphins jumping. While we did not have great weather, we did have an awesome time. Great well stocked kitchen allowed for fun breakfasts and dinners. Safe family neighborhood. Owners were good at communicating with us on questions we had. Met them at check in...very friendly and helpful!

What a fantastic home

Located right on the beach, with beautiful views and a great breeze. Home is big and beautiful. Owner is very responsive. A side bonus- it’s located 4 blocks from the biggest grocery store around, a great ice cream shop, bike rental, candy shop, etc, making it easy on the whole family.

Great Location But…

Lots not to like. The host was exceptionally pleasant and easy to deal with. For anyone suffering from allergies, this is not a place to stay in the fall. There is ragweed in abundance on the dues. This is not an owner issue. Simply a warning. As far as the house, it is seemingly an issue on Long Beach Island rentals. Nowhere else have we experienced the significant and disconcerting amount of deferred maintenance. Those windows that we could open suffered from substantial dry rot. Many windows lacked an opening device or screens. There is evidence of significant water leaks in the ceiling. Upon entering the house, there is an overpowering smell of mold/ mildew and it permeates the entire house. It seems to emanate from the washer as either mold/mildew is much in evidence. We opened as many windows as we could to clear the air as best as possible. The lower level bedroom/ tv room were extraordinarily musty. A dehumidifier could work wonders Regarding the lower level, there is no bathroom or even half bathroom. Anyone needing a toilet must come up the stairs to the one full bathroom of the main floor which also serves a bedroom on that level. Two bedrooms on the upper level share a hallway bathroom. The king bedroom is en-suite We were very much surprised and unprepared for the meager amount of household items that we are used to. 1/2 rolls of tp, no extra. No tissues. Limited dw soap, almost empty hand soap, 1/2 roll paper towel. No laundry soap etc

Long weekend getaway

Our experience was great! The house is fantastic and the location is wonderful. Virginia and Stephen were both very friendly and accommodating. Hoping we will be able to go back again in the future.

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful time for my mother’s 70th birthday. The views from every room are spectacular. The house clean and comfortable and the owners were lovely. Can’t wait to go back!

Wedding Weekend

We had such a lovely fall weekend at Ginny’s place. My family stayed in the house while we attended a wedding on the island and absolutely loved it. It was perfect for a larger group and we loved all spending time together in the living room overlooking the water - it felt like we could enjoy the water and views without even stepping foot outside. That being said we also loved that when we did go outside we only had to walk a few steps to put our feet in the chilly fall sand. Thanks Ginny!

Beautiful Views

The owner is a very gracious person and the house has beautiful views. I would have expected the house to be in better shape for the price we paid for early June. Furniture is very dated and outside condition (deck, siding, windows) needs attention. We had landscapers working there two of the days we were there and had to cut our vacation short due to a. death in the family. The windows on the first floor do not have screens and many of them did not open. The stove was a challenge to light. The Family room area is very small and not very comfortable to gather and watch a movie at night. If you don't mind a house that needs some updating, the views are incredible and the host is very nice.

Virginia's property was just as advertised. The place was 100 ft from the beach and you can see the beach from every room. The property was clean and had several games that our family enjoyed.

Beautiful house with amazing views

Great house right on the ocean . Amazing ocean views from all the rooms. Owner good with communication. House in nice condition especially the kitchen. Stayed there for a long weekend and had a great time. Would definitely stay again if we could.

Beachfront Bliss

Our family thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful beachfront house. The unobstructed view of breaking waves can be seen from downstairs living area and most of the bedrooms. The wraparound lower deck with seating and dining areas was a bonus. The two upper decks were accessible from the master and two bedrooms. Ginny was a real pleasure to work with from beginning to end. Highly recommend this home!

Sunrise Sunset

We had an absolutely wonderful time, we found the house spotless with everything that we needed. The owner was very responsive and supplied a linen rental company and they were also incredibly responsive. From start to finish it was effortless and the pictures and description were spot on.

Sand in my shoes!

Great property. Just a few steps to the sand! Beautiful views from everywhere. I literally woke up to the sunrise over the ocean each morning. A lot of space for the 9 of us. Wonderful counter space and spacious remodeled kitchen which was a plus for preparing our Thanksgiving feast! Would recommend in Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall!

Picture perfect

Amazing property. Well maintained with exquisite oceanfront. Lots of windows and natural light, with open floor plan which is conducive to quality time with Friends and Family. Centrally located in the island with ACME two short blocks around the corner. House is tastefully appointed, nice amenities and with 5 bedrooms can’t ask for more! Would absolutely rent again, and for us, off season is the BEST season! Quick spring break escape and couldn’t have asked for a better home or views! Highly recommend to all.

Breathtaking views and comfort even in the rain!

My family rented this beautiful house for two weeks in the summer of 2011. The initial plan was for one extravagant summer vacation, but we were immediately hooked and have returned every summer since. How lucky we were to find such a gem with wonderful owners who are accessible and respond quickly if concerns arise. The layout of the house is spacious and comfortable, providing areas for group gatherings and areas that allow for quiet personal space. The main living area offers expansive ocean views and allows for interaction without crowding for the occupants. The large wrap-around-deck surrounding the great room provides another area for people to gather in the company of cardinals and scrubby pines with the relaxing sound of the ocean waves breaking. The gas grill ~ as well as the well appointed kitchen ~ facilitate easy meals. The four main bedrooms have decks and views of the ocean. The beds are comfortable. Each year, we have experienced the pleasure of significant improvements to beautify the interior ~ crown molding, wood flooring, kitchen remodeling, and new furnishings. All of the appliances have been upgraded. Access to the beach is perfect, and the grotto and outside shower provide comfort when returning to home. The views of the ocean from the house and the decks make even rainy days a pleasure at this beach home. The owners take great pride in this house and do all that they can to make your stay enjoyable and comfortable.

This house is EVERYTHING!!

I recently got married this past fall in Beach Haven at the Boathouse. We rented Ginny's house for 5 days. I honestly cannot praise it enough. The house- SO clean, the view- there are no words, Ginny- amazing to work with. I honestly would move in if she'd let me :) We even took our wedding photos on the deck and the beach in front- we were so lucky to find this place- I could not imagine staying anywhere else for my wedding!

Perfect Getaway

We had one of the most enjoyable vacations in a long time and this property was the reason for it. With a magnificent view of the ocean as well as being centrally located to shops and restaurants it does not get better than this! If you are planning on getting away this is the property to stay at!
