This Outer Banks vacation home is centrally located so there'll be plenty to do with family and friends during your stay.

Cape Kann has 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms and features all of the comforts of home and more. Enjoy the private hot tub on the first floor deck that overlooks the ocean and gives you unparalleled views. Upstairs, the spacious and open living area is the perfect place to entertain or simply relax with your family and friends. The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances and everything you need to make home cooked meals during your stay. During the morning hours, grab a cup of coffee and head out to the furnished sundeck and watch the stunning sunrises over the ocean; a true blue Outer Banks experience.

Beautiful home comfortable Funiture Great Location

We loved this house. The furniture was comfortable with great views of the beach. Two dining tables which worked wonderfully for us as we like to work jigsaw puzzles on vacation. Beds were very comfortable even the bunk beds were extra wide and comfy. Above all, great location!!!

We had a lovely week. The house was comfortable, and the location was lovely. We had a slight leaking issue with the dishwasher and Resort Reality was so easy and timely to work with. Not only did someone show promptly, but he was so kind, efficient, and explained everything he was doing and next steps as needed. His name is Andy and he is a gem.Our experience with the company was so fluid and made our stay really great.We would return.

The house was not in good condition nor was it clean. I read some reviews and messaged the realtor ahead of time about mold and cleanliness and was assured those issues were resolved, but they were not. The carpets were gross, the washing machine and dryer didn’t work properly and were very loud, the ceiling in one of the bathrooms had a trash bag covering a hole in the ceiling and we cleaned the kitchen before using anything. The beach area in front of the house was great and private, but honestly I would avoid this house.

First family vacation to Avon 2022

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this property! It was right on the beach with breathtaking views, especially from the top deck. It was fully enclosed so my dog could join me up there and was living her best life. The lower deck had a hot tub which malfunctioned during our trip and someone came out almost immediately to fix it. Sitting in the hot tub under the stars, seeing the Milky Way was definitely a highlight for my family. The interior of the home was beautiful and definitely felt like home away from home, with everything we needed to cook and also play family board games. The location was ideal as there are several shops right across the street, including our family’s favorite ice cream shop and coffee / muffin shop, 1 minute or less walk. Everyone we ran into was beyond nice and warm, from locals to others on vacation. We are absolutely planning on making this an annual trip and hope to score this amazing property again next year.

I want to start with the positives. The house is in a great location in a quieter part of the Outer Banks. It is right on the beach, although you do have to walk over the dunes. The views are spectacular, the deck is beautiful, and the brand-new outdoor shower was a great addition. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cookware, and the two dining tables provided plenty of space for our group.Unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by several maintenance issues. After booking through VRBO, all communication went through a property management company including payment. On the day we were traveling, we were informed that the central A/C was not working and that window units had been installed. Despite four window units and multiple fans, the house frequently reached the 80s, making it uncomfortable, and the noise from the units was constant. We later found a note from a previous guest indicating this had been an ongoing issue for weeks. This should have been disclosed well before our arrival.When we arrived, the house had a damp, musty smell, and we found wet sheets left in the dryer. The dishwasher leaked on the second day and was unusable for the rest of our stay. The dryer also failed to dry clothes properly. After heavy rain on the fourth day, the ceiling began leaking. Communication from the property manager was poor throughout the stay, and despite contacting them afterward, I have received no response regarding compensation. Being an older home is under

Upon our arrival, we learned that the central AC was not working as it was 80 degrees in the house at 6:00 p.m. We immediately called Resort Realty and their response was to add fans to the free standing AC units that were in the living room. These units sounded like a stereo version of white noise, making it difficult to have conversation. To watch TV, the volume had to be very loud. We learned that the AC had been not working for weeks, but we were not given the consideration of a call. Conversely, Andrew at Resort Realty, referred to our contract saying they are not accountable for mechanical failures, refusing to identify how long they had not been working. The dishwasher was not working (also reported by a previous guest weeks before). There were dirty dishes in the cabinets, including a bowl that had dried milk still in it. Three different men came to the house to repair the dishwasher unsuccessfully. By Wednesday, the garbage disposal stopped working, after it had food debris in it, causing the sink to back up. The furniture and carpets were visibly dirty. The overall condition of the house wouldn't allow for a feeling of clean (rusty vents, water stains on the walls, etc.). The house is in a perfect location, If it had actually been clean and functional we would have loved it. Our long awaited vacay was ruined. Resort Realty promised a 10% refund for our inconvenience. This wasn't adequate. Reportedly the owner, Lance Miller, opted out of doing anything more.

This property was perfect for a family vacation with adult children. Oceanfront property with great views of sunrise and beach. We enjoyed riding bikes to coffee house, ice cream shop and restaurants. Cape Hatteras National Seashore was our favorite spot for shelling. The AC was problematic on multiple days at this property but the realty company was quick to respond when called. The dishwasher did not work at all so the dishes had to be hand washed more than I liked. Everyone had a good space to retreat to when necessary with the top floor allowing plenty of space for meals, games and conversation. Thank you for the sweet memories we were able to make while using this property. I recommend doing a Food Lion pickup order if you arrive on a Saturday.
