This spacious, Tropical, Non-Smoking, Romantic, one bedroom beach house has a great location only a short stroll (1-2 minute walk/200 steps) to Hanalei Bay with great swimming, surfing, boogie boarding, standup paddling, sunsets from Beach. It is an easy 7-10 minute walk to charming Hanalei Town shopping which includes a Supermarket, Health Food Store, and a variety of restaurants and interesting shops.
It is just a 7 minute drive to the Princevile Resort.

This is our 5th or 6th time at Devaki’s Honeymoon cottage and it never disappoints. Devaki is a supreme host and the location/proximity to Hanalei Bay is the best!

Perfect beach getaway

Just a great spot if you want to experience Hanalei and pretend you’re a local. The beautiful Hanalei beach is less than a two minute walk, which is incredibly practical, for early morning walks before coffee or just popping out to see the sunset. The studio is also just walking distance to the town’s shops and restaurants- and safe to walk back after a Mai Tai at night! The place is very quiet and the host who lives above is helpful yet very respectful of the guests’ privacy.

Location, Location, Location

Wow! this place really was magical. If you want to feel like you’re staying in the tropics, this is it. Just steps from the beach on beautiful Hanalei Bay and about a 1/4-mile walk to the town of Hanalei, the location is hard to beat. The large studio feels like a private treehouse, even though it’s connected to the owner’s home. We loved the open-air vibe, the outdoor shower, and the incredible view of the lush mountains and waterfalls, right from the bed. We usually like to try new spots when we travel, but we’re already talking about coming back here on our next trip to Kauai’s north shore.

Hanalei stay

Devaki greeted us at the property, she was lovely and kind. She shared her history and love for Hanalei and showed us around the property, which we enjoyed staying at. The location is perfect, you can walk everywhere. The property itself is authentic to Hanalei, peaceful and unpretentious. Thank you for a lovely visit! Tia & Dusty

This property fulfilled all of our needs for a 3 night stay in Hanalei (although we wish it could have been longer). Devaki is very welcoming, has a great property, and was ready to assist us in any way possible. We couldn't have had a better experience. Thank You Devaki!

Nice place to stay close to bay and restaurants.

This is a spacious unit on the first floor of a 2 story house. The kitchen is well equipped with everything we needed. It is a short walk to both numerous restaurants and the Hanalei Bay's beach. The only issue is that without AC, one has to open all of the windows for air flow and cooling. With the windows open, noisy neighbors were heard into the night. There are also the ubiquitous chickens that crow at all hours.

Perfect, low-key, quiet

Devaki and Jason were wonderful hosts, helpful and friendly. The place was spacious and clean, and perfectly situated right around the corner from the beach. We used it as a homebase for much beach time, great food in town, and then, jumping off spot to go to other beaches around the island, and of course, Waimea canyon! I have been to Hanalei many times, but my partner had not, and it was a great introduction to the charm of the area. We will visit again!

Perfect getaway

The house is so close to the beach and town which made it so convenient. It was larger than I expected which was also great. There was also a beautiful view of the mountains from the place. I had an amazing time and hope to come back!

Vacationing made easy

This private, quiet rental is just around the corner from the beautiful Hanalei beach and a short walk to the shops, markets and restaurants of Hanalei. Large windows in the studio apartment showcase beautiful mountains and tropical foliage. Devaki has thought of everything to maximize vacation enjoyment--toiletries, in-unit laundry, beach chairs & towels, coolers, and an adequate kitchen for simple meals. We returned to the Midwest relaxed and recharged. Will definitely be our go to when we return to Kauai. Thank you!

Loved it!

My husband and I love Hanalei. This unit has the perfect location, a 2 minute walk to the beach and 5 minute walk to shops and restaurants. Unit was stocked with everything we needed. Devaki was a wonderful host and very responsive. Totally recommend!

Clean and well-appointed

This unit was very nice; clean and well appointed. The only complaint we have was that there was a bothersome ant problem in the kitchen…we couldn’t leave anything out on the counters! It appeared that the ants had made their home behind the kitchen backsplash…very annoying

Spacious studio, older decor

This rental is a studio unit - with a separate entrance - on the bottom floor of a two story house. It was clean with everything you would need (towels, beach chairs etc). Easy walk into town or the beach. Decor is not updated or upscale. The pictures are pretty accurate - older wood furniture and wall-to-wall pinkish carpet. To me, it was not a cottage and not romantic -- and not where I'd want to stay for my honeymoon. But it was clean and functional. The host made a nice effort to help us with an ant problem.

Excellent location

I sailed into Hanalei on a Full Moon night in 1976. It was the most beautiful place I had ever seen by moonlight & when I awakened the next morning to see the long stretch of white sand, the crescent shaped Bay, the Emerald Green Mountains I knew I had found the place I wanted to live for the rest of my life. I spent the next 4 summers there before I left my dear friends & home in Pt. Dume, Malibu in 1980. I was sad to leave my Yoga Students, family, & friends, but now I have my Kauai Yoga Students, family, friends. Kauai welcomed me with it's warm Aloha & a wonderfully rewarding job. I started teaching Tai Chi, Yoga, & Massage at Kauai Community College so that I was able to do what I love & feel able to serve the community, meeting people from all over the island from all walks of life.
I love Hanalei Sunsets so I walk, run, swim, surf, or Boogie Board every evening at Sunset. It is a 1 minute walk to Hanalei Bay & Beach, my favorite beach in the world.
I have always loved being in the Ocean, but California was too cold for me so I spent time in other Tropical Paradises that were great for a vacation, but not places I could call home. This is the most beautiful place I've ever been & I would love to share it with you.

I love the Beach & being in the warm ocean and I don't love driving. I can walk to the beach in 1 minute or to Hanalei Village in 6-10 minutes. Everything I need or want is in Hanalei & I hear the same thing from my guests.
Many of my guests want to explore & see everything in Kauai so they are out all day & then come home to relax & sleep. After several days of exploring they realize that Hanalei is the most beautiful part of Kauai & has the best beach & most beautiful sunsets. Then they rarely use their car & I see them at the Beach, in the water, or walking around Hanalei Town with very big happy smiles.

The house is set back from the street so extra quiet & private. The mountain & waterfall or rainbow views from the bed or living room couch are amazing! This is a place to relax & enjoy the healthy Hanalei lifestyle. There is a Hanalei Farmer's Market twice a week where you can get great local produce. There are Fruit, Juice, & smoothie Bars, Harvest Health Food Store, all within a 10 minute walk from your Vacation Rental. Devaki is available for Hawaiian LomiLomi, Deep Tissue, & other forms of Massage. Devaki also teaches Massage if you want to learn. Devaki teaches Private Yoga Lessons for one person, couples, or small groups & Yoga Teacher Training. Devaki was a longtime student of Indra Devi, the First Lady of Yoga as well as Swami Vishnudevananda & completed Yoga Teacher Trainings with both.
