Beautifully built Hanalei home in cul-de-sac surrounded by plantation style lanai overlooking lush green tropical reserve. Spacious great room and professional chef's kitchen encircled by granite bar and countertops that open to living and dining room. Air-conditioning throughout the house. All new mattresses and recently updated furnishings.

Ceiling fans throughout house. Great open floor plan. Two master bedrooms with king-sized beds and a third bedroom with XL twin beds that can be converted to a king-size bed as well. Pristine travertine marble in all three bathrooms: two full baths with bath tubs and showers, an additional half-bathroom off the living room, and a beautiful private outdoor shower.

10 minute walk to Hanalei Bay with two-mile white sand beach. 5 minute walk to restaurants, outdoor market, shopping, and sightseeing. Perfect for families or couples looking for a vacation in Paradise.

Our host, Joan, is terrific. She responded to questions immediately, sent us timely reminders about trash and recycle pick-up, and left us several delicious treats in the refrigerator. Very thoughtful!

This house is wonderful and exceeded our expectations. It is well laid out and very nicely furnished. From the well stocked pantry to all the beach gear in the garage , we we’re well equipped ! A great location with an easy walk to the beach or down town Hanalei. Can’t wait to come back !

It is the perfect location between town and the beach. The space was perfect for 5 adults and they had all the equipment that we wanted - in the kitchen and sports equipment. The owner was very responsive and nice. I would say this is probably the best VRBO I've stayed in. I felt so at home and comfortable. I wish we had more time there - hopefully next year.

Wonderful location and spacious. Other than needing a fresh coat of paint the house is in wonderful condition. This home does feel more like someone’s home and less of a pure vacation rental, but that didn’t bother us. We enjoyed all of the animals and specifically the cats around the house

Amazing home

thank you for the lovely house to stay in beautiful Hanalei. We’ve been coming for 20 years now and it’s truly a majestic, soulful place that has captured my three kids hearts for sure. The house was so well equipped, thank you! The kitties have been fed daily and are so lovely.

Great family time in Hanalei

Joan's property was fantastic. Being able to walk to both the beach and shops/restaurants was perfect. The house was very comfortable and Joan was very accommodating. The beach equipment in the garage, particularly the boogie boards for our kids and paddle board for the adults was awesome. 10/10 would stay here again.

Fantastic place to stay!

We love this house in Hanalei and have stayed here multiple times. It is comfortable, very well maintained and in a great location - close to town and an easy walk to the beach. The owner is wonderful and really cares about the guest experience.

We had such a lovely time and couldn’t have asked for a better location. The house was the perfect size for my family of 5 and the kitchen was truly the heart of the home which was perfect for gathering at the end of each day for a family dinner. Joan was easy to communicate with and responded quickly to our questions. We will definitely be coming back. And my family lived bonding with the kitties

The neighborhood is quiet, the house is close to the restaurants and markets. The Hanalei beach is close too. We used the house beach gears (chairs, umbrella, snorkels, towels). The kitchen is big and equipped we were able to cook our breakfast and dinner. The house has washer and dryer do we were able to wash our clothes after a muddy hike. The house has board games and puzzles - we had good family time playing together.

Ideal Home

We visited Hanalei for my son’s Spring Break and had the most perfect stay in Joan’s house. The house is cozy, modern, well equipped and perfectly located. Joan was quick to communicate and very accommodating. We could not have asked for a better home for our Spring Break.

Wonderful Hanalei Getaway

Absolutely stunning home a short walk from Hanalei or Hanalei Bay. Enjoyed an adventure filled stay that included hiking, snorkeling, kayaking, runs along the beach, lazy days at the beach, exploring town and the surrounding areas as well as many hours enjoying all this wonderful house had to offer. Can't beat the location or the locale.

What a lovely property in a superb location! It's a 2 minute walk to the beach and a 1 minute walk to downtown Hanalei. Clean, charmingly decorated, well stocked, nice layout, and very responsive and friendly owner.

Awesome Hanalei house a few blocks from the beach

Great location: a few blocks to the beach; a couple blocks to the Hanalei restaurants. Great house: nice, roomy open layout in the common area; nice bedrooms; very quiet location; very private due to landscaping. Nice host. Fast internet. Our family of four was very comfortable for a week here and would definitely return.

Great vacation house for us

We stayed in this beautiful house for a week with our friends and their toddler. It was peaceful and the perfect location for us. Definitely warm in the afternoons, but room for everyone to have their own relaxing space. The kitchen was great as we made many of our meals in the house. Thanks for a wonderful home base for our vacation!

Great Hanalei home

We have stayed multiple times And love our Hanalei home away from home. . Location is perfect, easy walk to beach and town. Owner super easy to work. House layout is open and perfect for us with beautiful lanais and is Well appointed and clean. We will be back.

Amazing location!

This house is so special. The location is amazing. Steps away from shops and restaurants and 5 minute walk to the beach. We visited with our three young children and this house had all the items we needed to make it easy- wagon, beach chairs, umbrella, sand toys, boogie boys, and MORE! Main living area and bedrooms have AC and beds are very comfortable. Thank you to the host for sharing your incredible home, we would love to stay here again!

The house had a great layout and PERFECT location, short walk to town and beach.

Lovely, well-equipped vacation home. Easily accommodates 6 people. Kitchen was easy to navigate and work in (serious cooks should bring their own chef's knife). Large, wrap-around porch to hang out on (front and back). I rarely review places; this rental was very good and I strongly recommend the Hanalei area. I've been to Kauai twice and find the Hanalei area MUCH preferable to Poipu or the east side of the island.

A perfect spot

As a former resident of Hawaii, it was so much fun to go back and be a tourist; and this house was the perfect spot to do this. The privacy the house offers and the location were high marks in my book. The highlights for my family were the outdoor shower, the cats and a cute & cozy place to call home for a week. No complaints at all! We would love to stay there again!! Thank you Joan for sharing your home.

Great Vacation Home in Hanalei

We are a 3-generation family of 6 and enjoyed our stay in this lovely house in Hanalei. It is well located - within easy walking distance of the beach and all of the restaurants and shops in Hanalei. The house is well stocked both for beach adventures (chairs, umbrellas, wagons, sand toys, snorkeling gear, etc.) and for being comfortable indoors, with A/C in every room and a fully stocked kitchen. We also spent a lot of time on the back lanai, enjoying morning coffee and evening cocktails while the kids played the yard. Hanalei is a special place, and this is the perfect place to enjoy it!

Great Stay

We have stayed at many places in Hanalei, Princeville, Haena, but this house really fit our needs and expectations. We loved the house. Very well appointed for those that enjoy cooking. The entire house has fans, air moving, we slept soundly all night. The back porch backs up to a lush, tropical greenscape. Within walking distance to the Hanalei Bay and close to downtown Hanalei. Thank you Joan. Loved the house and will be back!

Home away from home

We can't say enough great things about this home, we actually thought about skipping a review to keep it our little secret! :) We woke up our last morning and all said we will miss the house as much as Hanalei! It had everything we needed and more and was our best rental yet. This will be our top pick to stay every time we come to Kauai (hopefully not too far away....) Perfect location, perfect house, amazing hosts. It felt like we were staying with family instead of a VRBO. Thank you for sharing your home with us, Joan!

Perfect location in Hanalei

We thoroughly enjoyed the house and our 9 day stay in Hanalei. The house was clean, well-appointed, with all we needed. It is a couple blocks from the charming town center (but still very quiet), a 5-10 minute walk to the gorgeous beach, and has a back porch with a tropical, private landscape view. It was a little warm in the afternoons during the warmer days, but cooled nicely at night. Joan was very responsive and kind with all of our questions. Wonderful!
