This secluded cabin is everything you would imagine in a perfect mountain creekside getaway sitting directly on a beautiful mountain stream surrounded by beautiful Mountain Laurel, Rhododendron.

We are excited about the many upgrades we have completed in the kitchen with all freshly updated cabinets, brand new dining room and new very comfortable living room couches that includes a PULL OUT BED coming in the first of May! Extra sleeping for this very spacious open floor plan with vaulted ceilings.

This cabin is perfect for your large group, family reunion, kids, pets, or romantic couples getaway. It is situated on 3 very private acreas with plenty of roaming around room outside along the creek which is situated in front of a steep mountain of greenery providing ultra privacy. Relax in the comfortable rockers or dine out on the spacious vaulted cedar screened in porch directly facing the creek and mountain. There is a newly added comfortable queen futon for creekfront sleeping on the screened porch! The favorite sleeping accommodations in the place! The cabin has the largest square footage of any of the rentals in the area with 3 nice size bedrooms + queen loft including a HUGE master bedroom, bath and closet right on the creek, and an extremely spacious open kitchen to the dining room and living room. Perfect space for where everyone seems to gather!

Pan for gold in this old gold mining mountain stream running through the property. No one has yet to be skunked! You can fish from the stocked pond up the hill in the neighborhood.

Hiking trails galore nearby with 4 huge gorgeous waterfalls, the Cherahala Skyway in your backyard, all within a few miles. Directions, maps and hiking recommendations provided in the cabin.

You won't find a more secluded, spacious, creekside mountain paradise as this one in this entire area. Repeat customers are now the regulars. Come and find out what the lucky people are enjoying, this very special cabin and natural wonderland surrounding it.

Perfect Getaway

We stayed here over the 4th of July, and it was just what we were looking for. It was the perfect location for day trips to Bald River Falls, downtown Tellico for shopping and the brewery and the hiking and swimming at Indian Boundaries. We arrived on Tuesday night and hit Iron Works Grille for Singo. So much fun. The cabin was so spacious and the grill and fire pit were perfect for relaxing meals, and we all enjoyed the creek out back!!

Just what we needed

The location of the cabin is in the middle of nowhere. Just us, the well stocked cabin, the comfortable screened in back porch, and the creek…the beautiful tranquil creek. We spent 90% of our time on that back porch catching up on old times. I slept on the futon on the back porch both nights, and it centered me. Will totally be renting this place again!

Girls weekend away

Really enjoyed the peace and quiet of this beautiful home, the back porch with the stream flowing directly behind the cabin was amazing, hot tub was great and we had an amazing time!

Best cabin and secluded

This place is just as it is listed. It is clean, spacious, and secluded. The layout is great. The back porch is fully screened in and sleeping on it with the creek going is very relaxing. I will say make sure you take a picture of the code to get the key to the house because there is no cellular service up there. But the Wi-Fi does work at the house. Would highly recommend this place.

Very Secluded

Just exactly what we wanted. Tucked away in the woods. Very little cell service but wifi was good. We enjoyed the hot tub, the sound of the creek in the back, the fire pit, and porch sitting! I do suggest you bring your own firewood. There is some but it is $25 extra to burn theirs. Also, bring extra toilet paper and paper towels. Water pressure wasn't super strong but the water was hot. One other thing ... there are LOTS of light switches that don't appear to do anything! Very curious. Overall, a great cabin.

Wonderful relaxing visit

This rental was a gift to my husband for his birthday and we loved it. We are in the lodging business ourselves, and also have a restaurant and bar. So when we get away we want to relax and be by ourselves. This house was perfect. We knew there was no cell phone service, and so we were a little concerned that the WiFi would not be of the best. It is faster and stronger than what we have at home! We took our Apple TV and were able to stream video easily. We watched football games on Saturday with the Dish TV and visited Tellico Plains and the Bakery that Jennifer suggested--wonderful. We stayed up one night on the screened porch until three AM because it was so beautiful and serene. We just didn't want to go to bed! It has a nice hot tub as well. Jennifer was very quick to respond to our emails and the information she gave us was very helpful. All in all, a great spot. Try it!

Beautiful property, creek is definitely what makes this place feel like Vacation...

Photos don't do the creek justice it is much larger then pics make it appear, kids loved playing in and around it. Made nightly fires in the small pit next to the creek at night roasting marshmallows.. Interior was accommodating but could use a little updating and TLC. Furniture has seen better days. Please watch for nails sticking out of the floorboards, they are not fun to step on my little one and myself found out the hard way. A nail also popped one of our air mattresses on our first night stay, luckily had a spare. Exterior could use a deep pressure washing, exterior screen was really dirty and wooden decks are dangerously slippery.. Kitchen was well stocked.. Neighborhood seemed safe.. Try to come during the day, we came at night and getting through the back roads was a little tricky but manageable, luckily property was well lit.. Would stay again, hopefully next time we can get some snow.. Alot to do within 45min drive.. We did everything on the property managers list and it was all worth it..

Cabin rental needs ALOT of TLC!!

We took this trip to celebrate my birthday! Directions to the cabin were good. The pictures on the rental needs updating. The cabin has an awful musty odor. That made me wonder if the cabin had been cleaned before our arrival? There was a candle on the table next to the couch. That we lit the whole time we were there. The eyes on the stove didn't all work. Had to closes the dishwashers hard to get it to work.. We grilled late Saturday night the gas grill had plenty of gas. But the grill keep going out, we had to keep lighting it. So not all the food we grilled got done. There is a folder that says read on it.. It was about the use of the property. Upon reading it they charge extra for the use of the fire wood, removal of the garbage. Even though the dumpsters close at noon on Saturday and all day on Sunday. There are 4 glass jars for you to put cash in them for the extra charges garbage removal, fire wood, pet, and tips. None of this is listed in the description before you book. Then before you leave your to run the dishwasher. Which I have run the dishwasher in all the other cabins I've rented. Your also suppose to wash a load of towels and sheets. But your charged a largecleaning fee. But then your to wash the towels, sheets, charged extra for garbage removal or put the garbage in your vehicle take it to the dump that's closed on Sunday. The rental description needs to be changed these things need to be added to it. So when you arrive there are not all these hidden fees and extra work you have to do before you leave. I think the owner needs to put aside part of the rental fee to do some very needed TLC. I have rented through vrbo several times. This is the worst rental I have stayed in. It has made me want to ask several questions before renting. Questions like how old are the pictures on the rental description, do you charge other fees, do you remove the garbage, is firewood provided, is the gas grill working? This property was not worth the we paid.

If there is a fault it is finding the rental but in hind sight that is kind of the point. A great place to set your cell phone down and just relax! Thank you!

Peaceful retreat

We wanted a relaxing weekend get away and we loved this sweet cabin in the mountains. The porch and the beautiful stream behind the property are great. We were lucky to get some snow and it made for a wonderful winter weekend. Everything is very clean, and we enjoyed the hot tub, cooking, and curling up by the fire. We would love to come back and try the cabin in a different season!

Beautiful location

Tellico Plains is a beautiful place and this cabin is located in a particularly beautiful spot in the woods with a babbling brook right outside the door. Overall we enjoyed our time here, especially the screened-in porch and hot tub, but as other reviewers have noted the cabin needs some TLC. Many lights were burned out or not working, including the main kitchen light which made it very dim and hard to cook dinner at night especially for older folks. While the master bedroom is beautiful with all of the creature comforts, the upstairs bedrooms lack closets, dressers, or even hooks to hang your clothes and there are no bedside tables. Halfway through the trip, we discovered a leak under the sink that soaked the bottom of the cabinet which we cleaned up. The hot tub stopped working on the last day. We stayed for a week with 6 people and there was not enough toilet paper or trash bags provided for the entire stay. The only soap provided was liquid hand soap. There were no bars of soap provided for the showers. Overall this is a nice cabin, but for this cost, I feel it should have been in better condition and more of the basics provided.

Disappointing

This property listing is very misleading. There was nowhere to fish nearby. The property was not private and there was nowhere on the property to hike. There are up charges and fees for every little thing, most appliances didn’t work. We had no water upon arrival and were told it might take a few days to fix. When we were able to contact the owner she made excuses and suggested we take a bath in the creak where we’d seen multiple copperhead snakes. She told us she’d give a partial refund for two days without water, but never did. My teenage son found that one of the water hoses outside had been left on causing the water tank to be depleted. That solved the problem with the water, but the owner then blamed us for leaving it on the day before we arrived. This property was very poorly managed and while the area was beautiful, I would not go again!

This was the prefect weekend getaway!!!

The cabin was remote but there was still plenty to do within a reasonable distance. The cabin itself was clean and provided everything we needed for dining while we were there. The hot tub was clean and very relaxing at nighttime. We will definately be booking this cabin again.

Cozy Creekside Lodge in Tellico Plains, TN

We had a great time. The screened in back porch is spectacular with lots of room, seating and view of the creek. We spent most of our time out there. I would definitely follow Jennifer's directions once you turn on Lower Smithfield Road. Lots of outdoor activities around the area - hiking, paddling, etc. We enjoyed relaxing in a secluded wooded area.

Secluded and glorious!

My sisters and I stayed here for a weekend to celebrate my oldest sister's birthday. It was so peaceful and relaxing. We had everything we could need, and sitting outside on the screened in deck listening to the creek brought us such a blissful calm. I have stayed in many places with hot tubs, and I have to say, that is the cleanest hot tub I have ever seen! We love this rental and are looking forward to coming back!

Great getaway

Jennifer was a great host! Super easy to work with and very flexible. A great place to getaway. We enjoyed the hikes, fishing, nights by the fire pit and hot tub.

Hidden Oasis

This cabin was perfect for two families enjoying vacation together. The kitchen had everything we needed. The pictures of this cabin do not do it justice. It is so peaceful and tranquil, and close to several falls and hikes. It was so relaxing to enjoy the hottub while listening to the creek. We would definitely rent again!

Relaxing Mini Vacation

This was a super relaxing cabin, very secluded and private. Sitting in the back screened in porch listening to the water run down the creek will have to be our favorite part of the cabin.

I bought this cabin originally because I fell in love with the Tellico Plains area. I couldn't believe how gorgeous and yet undiscovered this part of the country is. This is a very unique and special place. I love to share the secret, but also, don't want it to change the way it is now. If you like places that are still untouched, back in time, and a nature lovers dream, this is it.

When I saw the setting this cabin sits on, I didn't look any further. The privacy, the sounds of the rushing creek, the beauty of sitting on the screened in porch watching the small waterfalls running along the creekside in front of you day or lit up at night, is absolutely magical. Sleeping to it, THE BEST.
