HOUSE DESCRIPTION:
Welcome to “South Beach I”! This 5-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom pet-friendly home is located only 350 feet from the Surfside beach! This home features a large open kitchen/dining/living area with durable tile flooring. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything needed to prepare a meal for a guest. Right off the living area is a large deck with furniture. One bedroom is located on the first floor. This bedroom features views overlooking to pool, two full beds, and a private bathroom with a double sink. The other four bedrooms are located upstairs with upper-level deck access from one of the bedrooms. This raised-style beach house allows for vehicle parking underneath. Enjoy the private pool located in the back of the home. Please see our Pet Policy that applies to all Pet-friendly homes, which is strictly enforced.

Sea Star Realty offers the most luxurious linens in the area. Including resort-quality plush towels, hand towels, face cloths, bath mats, and high thread-count sheets of superior quality for each bed in your vacation home (including sleeper sofas). In each bath, you’ll find complimentary elegant soaps. Waiting for you in your kitchen are kitchen towels, along with some complimentary items, including dish soap, and a kitchen sponge. Best of all, the beds will be made prior to your arrival, and towels pre-hung in the bathrooms!

Good location, terrible housekeeping

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location of the house is great. Very close to the beach. Pool is small but very nice. Upon arrival, noticed a foul/fish smell in the fridge and coming from kitchen sink. Sent a message through the link that indicates how to contact company-no response. Called the following day and was told maintenance would come out. This was on Monday, they came on Friday and put something in the sink, which made the smell worse. Multiple messages and texts were sent between mutual contact and arrival of maintenance with no response. Upon check out, we stripped linens as instructed and found brown stained pillows and multiple blood stains. I sent another message and received a generic thank you we will pass it along response. Also, there was mildew/soap scum around the jets of the tub. We stay in a beach house every summer and have never been in one this dirty. The house is beautiful but the realty company/cleaning company are not doing justice by the home owner. Also, when I initially spoke with them about the smell I asked if we could be moved and was told I would forfeit all money and have to pay a full fee for another home.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was very clean and nice, the beds are all okay kinda hard. The pool was really nice, definitely could be more clean around the pool(chairs and next to fence; there was stuff left from previous person so you could tell it wasn’t cleaned) and maybe a little less chlorine. The fan in the upstairs room did break while we were there but they were able to fix it a day later so that was amazing. It was a little hot on the stay we weren’t able to control the thermostat, so I’m glad they were able to fix the fan quickly!

Good location but house needs lots of TLC

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was perfect but this house needs a lot of work. AC unit was torn up and didn’t work properly on first floor. Also owner keeps it set on 69 which is kind of warm to sleep. The kitchen had the bare minimum of utensils and zero things like spices or cleaning supplies (nothing like windex or all purpose cleaner to even clean surfaces with). You can smell previous guests or owners pets - it was very offensive and we tried to clean it multiple times. We made the best of it but when we return to surfside, we won’t come back to this place.

Great location

Great location with quick and easy access to the beach and walking distance to shops and the pier, too. Pool was tiny, but that seems to be the norm in this location, didn’t stop everyone from getting in! Better kitchen utensils and a full size grill would have made the stay perfect, but otherwise we had a great time.

Great location

It was the perfect location for the beach! House was very nice - a few updates would be good - pool is smaller than we expected, but that didn't deter the kids from jumping in. It was VERY hot when we where there - the thermostat was locked on 74, which was still hot due to the outside conditions - walking in from the heat wasn't as refreshing as we would of liked. The carpets are pretty stained and could use a really good cleaning/replaced. Other than that, our family had a great time. So close to the beach - the area is perfect for families and not very crowded, which we love. We would definitely go back again!

Needs some work

Overall an ok place for large family. Nice location. What we found was a refrigerator with broken and missing shelves and the couch in very bad condition (broken back on 3 sections, seats have very poor support and fabric is stained and worn through). A good amount of trash and dirt under the couch. Bed mattress are in ok condition but lower quality. Clothes dryer takes at least 2x cycles to dry. Likely the exhaust vent is clogged. Safety concern regarding a few of the balcony balusters are only connected at top and could push through by small children. AC is good and the pool is small but quite enjoyable. Overall size was great for our 13 member family....

Great location, spacious, and clean.

Perfect home for Multi families or extended families! The location was great, around the corner from local restaurants and pier that is being rebuilt. Short walk to the beach, and rental chairs were a nice plus to not have to pack for 3 families, waiting at the home (worth it!). Overall our 3 families had a wonderful time and had the space needed so that we all weren't on top of one another (13 people). I knocked off stars on accuracy of description because upon booking it, initially it said pet friendly and did not list any additional fees or limitations until after the contract was sent over. Not thinking to read the fine print for pets, didn't realize there was a fee per animal and also size limit (we chose the house, a little more above our price range) so we could bring our dogs, but they were way above the size limit listed in the contract plus additional fees per dog so had to find alternative arrangements last minute. The pictures of the pool are very deceiving, it is perfect to dip in to cool off but not very big. The downstairs bedroom with a King and Queen size bed does not have an accessible closet which was odd, it was locked with a key so assuming they use it for storage, which guests were not happy about not being able to hang their items. The property was pretty clean (bathrooms, beds, linens, floors were well maintained. Main issue on cleanliness was the living room area. A new area rug wouldn't hurt and the sectional couch would be save-able with a good shampoo if it wasn't for the backrests being broken in a few areas and needed a wall for support, it was rather comfortable though and got a lot of use as it is the gathering area of the house. The biggest issue we had was the refrigerator. It was missing a shelf plus the guard rails on the doors were held on by duct tape and if you put anything in the rail it would fall out. Contacted the management company and they said they would let the owner know but never did anything to correct the situation during our stay. This was very disappointing since we had food for a week for 13 people and no room, had to keep a lot of things in coolers on ice. Both balconies also had spindles that were coming off of the railings making it dangerous for the kids to be out there they could fall through if leaned on the wrong area. Lastly, the beds could be updated and one box spring broken (linens felt like tissue paper, rough and sounded scratchy).

Surfside

This is a great property and a wonderful location. We enjoyed our stay so much. There are some issues that could be addressed to make it much better. Number one on the list is a new refrigerator. That is the first thing you see when you come in the door and it looks terrible. The next thing is the filthy looking dining room chair cushions. You don’t even want to sit on them and recovering them is an easy inexpensive fix. The a/c vents are so rusty and look bad (another cheap easy fix). The sofa is on it’s last legs. The carpet on the stairs needs to go and better curtains need to be put in the upstairs master bedroom. They are too thin.
