Come for much-needed (or just highly desired) rest and relaxation at La Tortuga del Mar, Unit 5230 in Residencias Reef. Enjoy the most beautiful beachfront with spectacular sunset views in the Mexican Caribbean mere steps from your door! Located only 15 minutes south of San Miguel’s town center on San Francicso beach, you’ll be a perfect distance from the maddening crowd but within easy access to taxis and car/scooter/boat rentals, day-tour activities, convenience stores, and restaurants.

Residencias Reef is a quiet, secure community of only four buildings (76 units) situated on the leeward west coast of Cozumel. The landscaped property includes an illuminated entrance leading to a security gatehouse with barrier gate. Take a dip in one of two heated pools on the grounds or laze about on one of the many available palapas and loungers. With 200 feet of sandy beachfront, you’re mere yards from several beach clubs just south of Residencias Reef. (Carlos & Charlies, San Francisco Beach Club, Paradise Beach, Grand Mia Beach Club, et al.)

From your second-floor condo you won’t have to worry about a thing. Enjoy ocean views with all the amenities of home including a king-sized bed, pull-out couch, WiFi, air conditioning, ceiling fans, and washer/dryer plus detergent. Your fully equipped kitchen has full-size appliances, all your cooking basics (pots, pans, dishes, silverware, utensils, glassware, toaster oven, coffee maker, blender, hand mixer, paper towels, napkins, trash bags, dish soap, salt & pepper, other spices, garrafóns of purified water. For the bath, hand soap, toilet paper, bath and hand towels, washcloths, and hair dryer provided. Room essentials such as bed sheets, hangers, and beach towels are awaiting your arrival. Housekeeping, shopping, and chef services are also available.

For water adventurers, this location is great for diving and snorkeling alike. A 5-minute boat ride, caught next door at Secrets Aura dock, can take you to some of the world's most renowned reefs such as Palancar & Columbia. Dive gear rinse tanks are only steps from your door. Included for DIVERS are 2 *Secrets pier day passes per week.

Don’t forget to plan a trip to the “wild side” of the island to enjoy the beautiful, undeveloped white-sand beaches of the east coast of Cozumel, just 15 minutes away.

Great locale and communications

Very nice location. Close enough to San Miguel to get supplies, restaurants, etc. But in a less developed area. We enjoyed the southwest area the condo's at along with the far south and eastern beaches. Communications, instructions, etc all great. Friendly staff onsite, as well. Highly recommend Casa Mission for excellent setting and food. Money Bar was good for food and drinks and decent snorkeling. Punta Sur good snorkeling plus gators, flamingos, eagles, etc. Chen Rio on east coast a great site for view, snorkeling, drinks and food.

Wonderful

We loved our stay. We had 2 you children and the property was perfect for us. Both pools are warm and had shallow areas perfect for young children. The views from the property were amazing and the ocean was warm. The unit was well stocked and there was plenty of cooking utensils. It was necessary to have car as it was a 15 minute drive into town. But there was excellent, designated parking, which was nice. The host was very responsive to any questions and easy to deal with. Definitely one of the best places we have stayed. We loved everything about our stay!

Our hostess, Linda was very quick to respond to any questions we had. We were there to see our son and his family who live on Cozumel. It was a fantastic place to relax with them. The beach and pools were beautiful.

Beautiful View

We loved this condo. It was very clean and the owner was great with communication and helpful hints. We have stayed at Residencias Reef before and we were familiar with the location. This condo has a great view from the condo of the beach and quick and easy access to both beach and pool. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we could need for cooking. The air conditioners worked great and the bed was very comfortable. The security at the gate was very friendly and helped us with our luggage on check-in which was a big surprise. They smiled and waved every time we entered or left the property and made us feel very welcome. The owner recommended a masseuse which we had come to the condo twice and they were excellent and quite reasonable. The decor was very cheerful and we loved the color scheme. Bathroom was quite large. We had no issues while we were there. Highly recommend and hope to return for another visit.

Home Away From Home

My husband and I love staying at Residencia Reef. The location of this unit was great, right on the beach! Pool just a few steps away. Also, fully equipped with all you need.The owner was fabulous,easy to contact and provided additional information on things to do and places to eat. homerighaway! Couldn't ask for more.

Another great stay

This property is just perfect for a couple. Best building to be in, it is right on the ocean. Sunsets are fabulous every evening. As divers having the pier next door makes it super convenient to catch the dive boats. The new furniture and curtains make it even more comfy. Thanks so much for letting us stay. We will definitely be back again next year.

A wonderful place and location! A definite return!

This was our first trip to Cozumel and staying at this condo set the stage for a stellar 7-night vacation! First, Linda (the Host) is phenomenal. She is very personable & helpful, provided very clear communication, and quick to respond to messages. Huge kudos! As for the condo and beach location... Perfecto! The interior tropical decore made the stay clean, peaceful & relaxing, and the patio deck is equally relaxing overlooking the beach. Nothing was really missed when it came to providing the necessary kitchen utensils, lots of "pay it forward" on the herbs & spices cabinet, and the huge countertop space with double-sink was great. Chilling out in the living area and patio deck was extremely comfortable & peaceful, and the blackout curtains in the bedroom and patio deck entrance is ultra cool! Having the washer/dryer unit was a blessing no doubt! The console is in Spanish, but Linda's basic instructions and using a translator made it easy. The entire complex is beautiful, the staff are extremely personable, and it was simply paradise! The location to access the different Beach Clubs couldn't be better! Did I say this place was extremely comfortable & peaceful? 😃 My wife and I are planning a return trip to Cozumel next year, and Linda can expect me reaching out to her on availability.

So great of a trip we extended our say!

The condo was clean and had everything we needed. It’s also the building closest to the beach which we were thrilled about. Also equally close ti the heated pool. We made some friend down here and extended our vacation for another 4 days to get more diving in! We will definitely be back!

Lovely!

We had a lovely time showing our 2 yr old the ocean for the very first time! She also loved the pools and the iguanas! Lovely views of the ocean from the balcony, friendly and supportive staff onsite. Things got a bit rowdy at the resort next door around new years, but the bedroom was on the opposite side of the condo, so we didn't have any trouble getting kiddo to sleep. We would LOVE to visit again!

Wonderful views

Property was clean, well maintained and had amazing Caribbean views. Balcony overlooked the beach. The entire complex was very clean well maintained with 2 swimming pools. Property manager was very informative, helpful and responsive. We would definitely stay in this condo again.

First time in cozumel

Loved walking up in our beachfront condo. Very clean and the 2 pools were never crowded. Everyone was very friendly and staff was always helpful. Condo owner had great communication throughout our stay. Property grounds were well kept and the kids enjoyed spotting the iguanas and crabs. Felt very safe staying here away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown area. We rented a car because we went on an excursion every day. Would definitely come back to stay.

The condo was just as advertised. Cute tropical decor. Nice king bed. View from balcony was lovely and the owner was reachable to help with anything we needed. And 24 hour security!

Absolutely wonderful stay!

The condo is in the perfect location. Great snorkeling right off the beach and away from the crowds in town. Easy check in. Nice amenities. Wonderful views. Friendly staff. We will definitely stay here again. Cozumel is so beautiful.

Great condo

Condo was perfect, well outfitted, roomy and beautiful view. Only wish was that the tub had handicap bars as it is a whirlpool tub and is deep. Getting in & out was difficult. Beach was pretty but not easy entry. Boat traffic was insane which stirs up the water pretty badly. Loved the two pools and the grounds were well cared for and so pretty.
