Christian & family- We are so glad you enjoyed your stay at The Barn! This is the first time we have gotten feedback about the patio railing being unsafe for small children. In order to make you and future guests more comfortable, we will be redoing the balcony railing to close the gaps so everyone can rest easy and enjoy the patio. Please read the other reviews from our many satisfied guests. Sheila suggested that we pay her in order for her to not write a bad review. Sheila’s friend rented a nearby house with a bigger bathroom and got to stay an extra day than Sheila did for the same price Sheila paid. Sheila was very forthright with us in expressing her anger about this. In fact, our first conversation with Sheila was her yelling at us while en route for not giving her the check in code. Meanwhile, it was sent to her husband days in advance on the Vrbo platform since he booked it but she didn’t consult with him before unleashing on us. Sadly, we knew what we were in for with this guest before she even arrived. The house has a modern minimalist aesthetic which obviously did not speak to Sheila’s taste. To preserve the spaciousness of each bedroom, storage comes in the form of benches and A frame ladder shelves to maximize walking space in the rooms. Each bedroom has it’s own closet with plenty of hanging space and a shelf. Sheila said she regretted not having a big set of dresser drawers in each room. The custom kitchen island has an inset under storage shelving unit which houses the pots and pans. Most of the time pots and pans are stored in a low location in kitchens, we found this comment to be a bit odd. In regards to her claim of no storage in the kitchen, there is a 5 shelf floor to ceiling closet that is dedicated for food storage. Perhaps she did not see it?? There is also a large rolling bar cart in the kitchen for additional food and beverage storage. Our maintenance crew tightened the toilet in the bathroom. The bathroom storage as shown in our pics is in the custom barn wood “open concept” vanities. Sheila prefers traditional decor and furnishings and expressed that she was very unhappy that she delegated the task of finding a vacation rental home to her husband. Sheila’s claims of unsafe stairs and claw foot bath tub are unfounded. When Sheila told us to pray about what kind of compensation we should give back to her, we offered to send money to her church in her name. Then she ghosted us and wrote this review.
