French doors bring nature in with serene views of the lake from every room. The covered deck provides a lounging area to watch the birdfeeder over your first cup of coffee, and a large table to enjoy “al fresco” dining in the evening.

This area is a recreational paradise with spectacular whitewater rafting, fly-fishing, water sports, and zip-lining. A must see are daily 2-hour Lake Glenville cruises so you can see the 7 waterfalls, some only viewable from the water. A fun day trip is the Biltmore House in Asheville, NC. Biltmore is the largest private home in the country, built by George W. Vanderbilt at the turn of the century.

Thank you, I'm definitely OCD on cleanliness! I've used the same awesome cleaning company for 12 years now. They do my annual spring cleaning as well as the cleanings throughout the year. Since I moved to the lower level unit in 2022, I've been responsible for the organization aspects. The labeling throughout the home allows my guests to easily navigate the space without spending endless hours searching for things.

Close to downtown Cashiers, this is a lovely place to stay overlooking Lake Glenville. Perfect for a couple or a family. We loved the deck, spacious and cozy at the same time. Kitchen was stocked with everything you need. Jo was available and answered any questions promptly. Highly recommend for your stay in Cashiers.

Yes, the proximity to Cashiers was one of the reasons I purchased this lot. My home is just 10 minutes to the Cashiers Crossroad, with restaurants, shopping and the local Recreation Center. Thank you for the kind review.

My husband and I stayed for 8 nights, and this property was beyond perfect. We are hoping to come back in the Fall and will definitely try and stay here again. I felt like Snow White staying here - we had a white squirrel visit each day, a grey squirrel, so many various birds at the bird feeder, 3 deer and a grey fox too. It was a relaxing get-away. Going onto the covered back porch each day was so peaceful. The view of the lake and mountains was just beautiful as well. The actual inside of the property was perfectly clean (I'm very particular about this), and stocked more than any other property I've stayed at. The primary suite bed was the perfect level of comfortable with a bonus sliding door with a view of a mountain to wake up to. I truly appreciate all of the little details that were put into having this property ready for our stay.

We loved staying here! Our host Jo was so accommodating and really just took care of every detail. The view is gorgeous. We really enjoyed the back deck with the grill and the porch swing and the birds and the view of the mountain and Lake Glenville. We will be back!

To begin with, we had never stayed here and chose to make this our central location for hikes and other adventures.Upon arrival, we were impressed with the architecture, the views, and most of all how organized everything was.Jo Hart has thought of everything. She has food for the squirrels, food for the birds, a Propane fired heater for cool evenings on the porch and a grill for outdoor cooking. And she even had walking sticks for our use!In addition, a water filtration system for refrigerated drinking water.Every utensil is clearly marked and nothing is missing. We felt like we were in our own home and being treated to the most enjoyable time we've had in many years. And the bed was very comfortable.In addition, though we normally like to leave a place in a nicer condition than when we found it, that was impossible. And Jo would not allow us to wash any of the laundry or sheets, clearly saying, "you are to be guests and I don't want you doing anything"This was a memorable experience and we will be returning frequently. In fact, we have already booked a week in the fall.Kudos to Jo for thinking of everything.

Relaxation in the mountains

Beautiful house and location, had everything we needed, close to town and convenient, beautiful view of the lake. The owner was always responsive and helpful.

Lakeview Lodge

We have always loved staying at this home and it is even more desirable since new kitchen granite, new bathroom surfaces and others have been installed. We love sitting on the long deck overlooking Lake Glenvillle. Great vacation!

Spectacular view from back porch. Desirable location in Trillium. We took advantage of the country club amenities. Next time we intend to stay longer

Yes, I had several more dead/dying trees removed during the off season. Even in full summer leaf the view is gorgeous! Do hope to see you again soon!

Hidden Gem

We were so pleased with the property. Its a great place to relax and enjoy nature. The views of the lake were breathtaking just as advertised. We will definitely return soon. The communication and overall process with the owner was seamless and very appreciated.

Thanks, Todd. The lake views are even more spectacular now since I had several dead/dying trees taken down last month. I'm glad your wife enjoyed all the different birds at the feeder; I could watch them for hours myself.

Jo’s home is impeccable clean, organized and cared for. She is wonderful to work with and we loved it all. Never heard or saw her even though she lives below. Great vacation spot!

Lake View Retreat

We enjoyed two weeks at this wonderfully appointed Mountain and Lake view home. Jo, our premier host, went above and beyond in supplying amenities to make our stay comfortable. The view from the porch is spectacular. Came home completely relaxed. George and Barbara Hilton Head Island, SC

Early this year I removed 2 large trees that were dangerous for my lower neighbors but resulted in a greatly enhanced Mountain view. I really enjoy my returning guests and look forward to seeing you again next year!

Wonderful escape from the summer heat!

Each summer we travel to the mountains for the week of the Fourth of July. From now on we will always go to this lovely home. Its location is perfect for viewing the fireworks from the its porch. The accommodations were 5 star. Trillium is a lovely club and the facilities are first class.The clubhouse is beautiful and the dining is wonderful! And the icing on the cake was our delightful host.

Yes, many members and guests are enjoying the new upgraded facilities at the Clubhouse, with expanded covered outdoor dining for 48 additional seats. Our chef has come up with some truly creative dishes that I just love. You were such a delight to have as guests and I look forward to your stay next 4th of July week. Thanks for booking early as July is a very busy month. I try to remind my guests that booking a year early is wise to get your selected weeks in the summer.

Great Place with both privacy and access to Cashiers/Highlands

Very well maintained home with many features clearly identified. Owner was very responsive, courteous, and easy to work with. Owner lives on lower level but was very quiet and private. Great view of lake below. Easy access to Cashiers and area towns. Look forward to returning and highly recommend it.

Thanks Bill, I loved having you as guests. My "studio quality" soundproof door between the levels works perfectly! It's nice to be able to accommodate guest's questions or issues directly and hands-on. I think it makes for a better guest experience. Hope you get to come back in October!

In September 2021, I moved from Atlanta, GA to the Lower Level unit of Lakewood Lodge. I have a separate, private entrance with full amenities and installed a sound-proof, lockable door between the interior levels.

I enjoy all the classes at my local Rec Center (Zumba, TRX, Yoga and Pickleball), church ministries and volunteer activities.

It was truly "love at first sight'" the first time I drove through this area on a trip. The natural beauty was awe-inspiring, and I vowed then to live in this "heaven on earth" someday.

After receiving the Grand Opening announcement from Trillium in 1997, I jumped on the chance to come up. I was impressed with the award-winning community design, Lake Glenville views, and the proximity to Cashiers.

As a full-time resident I've enjoyed exploring all the Trillium hiking trails, Whiteside Mountain views, and the many local waterfall trails. There are many more local restaurants and shops to enjoy in Cashiers and the nearby small towns. The vast array of things to do is delightful for guests of any age and I'm happy to share these "gems" with my guests.

My lot was specifically selected due to its awesome year-round lake views and the privacy afforded by the private island opposite my lot. I built my home high on the lot to best take advantage of the lake and mountain views. I love the feeling of being in a tree house when I sit on the deck.

My custom home was designed especially with rental guests and friends & family in mind. The bedrooms all have their own baths and are separated from each other for privacy. The furnishings were selected with the help of a local designer.
