This spacious, sunlit rental features a furnished, wraparound balcony with amazing views, an elegant and open living and dining area, and an updated, full kitchen that is perfect for entertaining. And speaking of entertainment, Summer House offers guests a variety of on-site, resort-style amenities including shared pools, tennis and basketball courts, a fitness room, and a dry sauna.

Less than three miles up the coast, discover fine dining, boutique shopping, and a full-featured marina offering opportunities for deep sea fishing, diving, and other watersports, all at SanRoc Cay Marina. For a day of outdoor adventure, hike or cycle the miles of trails that wind throughout nearby Alabama Gulf State Park. And find fun, family-friendly attractions at places like Adventure Island, less than a mile away, and Waterville USA, only six miles from this rental.

Things to know:
Please note that group rentals are not allowed at Summer House on Romar Beach. No more than 5 units may be rented for groups of any kind. Any bookings found to be in violation of this policy will result in a fine of $500.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Dirty

This place smelt of mold and mildew. There was mold in the bathtub with a moldy shower curtain. There was still crumbs on the floor. The blankets and couches were covered in stains. We found rusty razor blades. There was water damage on the wall so I’m sure that was hiding more mold. There were hairs all over the sheets. The fan in the bedroom did not work. I would not recommend anyone stay here. I made a complaint and was told someone would get back with me and they never did. This was very disappointing.

Wonderful Condo, would stay here again!

The condo was very nice, we had a great stay. It provided great amenities as well. Just wish the beds were just a bit softer. The built in ice machine was very nice for loading the cooler for a day sitting on the beach watching the kids play or hanging out poolside.

Great location , beautiful views! Our biggest issue with the condo was the pillows are horrible and stained, there was a stained extra blanket in the closet and the tile left your feet dirty. Needs a big update in furniture and bedding ! But the location and views were perfect !

Decent property in great location

The location of this property is great. It is accessible to many area restaurants and venues including The Wharf )can be there in about 15 min pending traffic headed that way). The property itself kept a very clean beach with the ability to still use tents and umbrellas behind the rented ones (a nice feature as many places we have been to in Florida for example don’t even allow that). The pool was often a bit cloudy and a little small for the size of the buildings. The decking around the pool was okay but often got fairly crowded. We never went to the pool. Ample parking. The unit itself was decent. Overall it served its purpose for us and our stay as we wanted to stay near friends for a baseball tourney. It was sufficient. The layout was nice - split with 2 bedrooms in front of unit and master on back (beach view). It had a good layout, nice size living and dining area as well as huge wrap around balcony. Honestly, it seems priced a bit high even in peak time compared to other beach front properties we have rented in Destin and PCB. Just an opinion but this is the most we have spent on a domestic beach front condo. One of the things that seems to be an area for improvement (and an easy fix) is the cleanliness. I’d say get a new cleaning service. It’s a nice condo but It didn’t feel super clean when we arrived (hair on floors, kitchen floors not 100% clean with some stains and crumbs, etc). One other thing - and this may be an orange beach thing - the noise from the trash collection is rough. It kept getting earlier and earlier each day it felt like. The last day we were there, they came at 4:55 am with a loud bang (as they collect the bin between towers A and B. That was an unfortunate nuisance that is out of the control of this unit. I am a mom and wake up with those noises so if you are a heavier sleeper you may be just fine. I am not sure I’d be a return customer but we still had a great time at this condo right on the beach.

Wonderful and spectacular view

Everything was great. Clean, nice and perfect view. Everything was just like they said in the review. Kitchen full stocked with everything you might have needed. Separate ice maker which was great and came in handy. The places was very spacious and open. The total summer house condo very clean, nice and people friendly. The pool(inside and outside) was great. Location great also. Would book again and again.

Not properly cleaned, dirty dishes in panty, trash under furniture. No response from managemenr

Not managed well. Cleanliness policy not maintained. Faucets and showers didn't work properly. Dirty dishes in cavinet, trash left on floor, stained worn sheets and pillows. No instructions on TV, lights burned out. No one managing social distamce, just message on TV by elevator. Little response from management.

Fun time but okay place

This property was not very clean, nor was it kept up. We had several things that were working but barely. Not enough cookware to cook a whole meal. We figured it out of course, but felt like the property and the condo needed to be revamped. Hot water in master shower made an awful noise, but at least we had hot water most of the time. Overall it was ok and of course we had a good time, but for the price, this place needs updating. Most likely would not stay here again.

Disappointed.

Broken kitchen cabinet door upon arrival. Numerous dirty cookware items and utensils. Item from previous rental left on bedroom floor. Hair in bath tub. Live insect in bath tub. We e-mailed Vacasa upon arrival and called 2 days later. We have not gotten an e-mail response or return phone call to this date. Vacasa definitely does not deserve its fee. I have never had such a disappointing experience in many years of renting condos on Orange Beach!!!!
