Welcome to Opie's Cabins. These Cozy Cabins are fully restored 100-year old Rail Road Cabins, located near the Comal River. The Comal River is within walking distance and can been seen from the deck. Texas Tubes is located next door for easy outdoor fun. Each Cabin is uniquely decorated with it's own theme. All 8 cabins are connected with a gorgeous deck, which makes reserving multiple cabins more convenient for larger parties and groups.

Each cabin sleeps 1-4 people. These Cabins have a "tiny home" style kitchen, extra linens and cooking utensils are supplied. There is no ice maker or dishwasher.

Don't hesitate

Our stay at Opies Cabins was flawless. Veronica was an amazing host and the cabin was in a perfect location. Bed was comfy and cabin Had everything we needed. We plan to visit again.

Great Cabin

The cabin was great! It had everything we needed for a short stay. A stones throw to the Comal, and a short walk to downtown New Braunfels. We will DEFINITELY stay here again.

Cute Clean Cabin Perfect Location

The cabins are very well kept and equipped with everything you could need. They are located so close to the river. We loved our time here. And the host is super sweet!

Cozy and clean

The cabin was exactly what you see in the pictures. It was very clean and an awesome size for a weekend getaway! We really enjoyed our stay and we will be booking again in the future!

Last minute mini vacation

Our cabin was wonderful!!! Very cozy and inviting. We booked cabin to take our grandsons on their first river float. Just a short walk from the Comal river and to downtown. Will definitely stay here again for our next float on the Comal.

Perfect downtown river location

These cabins were perfect for our group! One adult and three kiddos (13,6,6) Convenient location to downtown and to float the Comal River. Decorated very cute, all of the basic necessities you need and nice and clean. Would definitely rent again!

All Aboard!!

We stayed in cabin #5 (the train/railroad theme), which was very neat since my fiancé works for Union Pacific. The property was exceptionally well maintained, felt safe, & we loved the close proximity to the river. Looking forward to staying again soon!

Cute, clean, comfortable and close to everything

We stayed in the train themed cabin, which was absolutely adorable. Had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and it was super clean. The property is well maintained. The location, right next to Texas Tubes, is great for floating and it is close to downtown New Braunfels. The check in/out was super easy and the owners were very helpful and kind. Definitely recommend!

Fantastic Stay

This was our first time to visit New Braunfels and float the Comal river. These cabins were great for our group, from the ease of booking the property, communication with the owner and the cleanliness of the cabins, our stay was so enjoyable. I cannot recommend these cabins highly enough. I’m looking forward to returning next year and staying here again. Thank you, Veronica.

Perfect Location

It’s not very often you find the property manager and owner have a true passion for their property and make it a priority to take care of guest. This host was wonderful, the location couldn’t be any better… unless you want to spend 5x more for direct river access/views. We enjoyed safely walking downtown and went to the river on a very affordable day pass at the float inn…. That is also walking distance. Bring a bike… no reason at all to move your vehicle once you get there!

Perfect location for floating Comal

Perfectly clean. Exactly what husband and I needed to enjoy a weekend on the Comal. Texas Tubes is a few steps away and can rent tubes to float the river from them with so much convenience. Short drive away to shopping ans cafe’s in downtown New Braunfels. We can’t wait to come back.

RR to River

We had a great weekend at the RR cabin. Decor was so cute and the property was so convenient to the river and downtown eateries. Host was very accommodating after I requested the wrong cabin, Veronica graciously allowed me to change cabins on the booking app without a cancellation charge.

Parent Getaway

We’ve stayed here previously with our young family. This time it was just my husband and I and we always enjoy our time. Prime location walking distance to various shops and restaurants. Having Texas Tubs next door is perfect for those floating. Practically they drop you off in your backyard. Lots of wildlife, rooms and grounds clean and will maintained.

Nice cabin but no tv in room

Nice property . Little to small to fit a family . Decor was really nice . Cameras on back yard made us feel as your being watch . Don't recommend for family stay unless its 3 in the family. Beautiful facility. Very tiny .

Thank you for your response and nice review. We just recently installed a camera for security reasons. The camera is set up outside only and believe me we are way too busy just to sit around and watch the camera. Also to make sure things were going ok or when people set up a tent on the grass when they did not ask to do so. Or when guest stay an extra night and don’t pay or answer their door. Do these 2 incidents ring a bell?The little cabins are meant for weekend fun and even though yes small, are plenty big for a quick get away.

3 years and counting

This is the third year in a row my group of 20+ have come to stay. We stayed three nights this time and it never disappoints. I needed a broom, Veronica supplied us one. My friend lost his sunglasses, Veronica found them. I’m 100% sure we will be booking again next year.
