Please note that this listing is for the FIRST FLOOR ONLY of River Haven Guest House. Please book the FULL GUEST HOUSE for more than one room.

Nestled under a canopy of oak trees, and located within walking distance of historic Gruene, Texas, our guest house is a two-story "home away from home" for guests desiring a cozy, romantic retreat, a gathering place for family, a refreshing spiritual retreat, or a secluded spot for quiet work. In the style of an historic, German Sunday House, your experience will be reminiscent of a stay on the ground floor of an old home with the conveniences of modern amenities and easy recreation. Also, expect kitties to be freely roaming the property and wandering up to greet you!

Parking: one parking space provided but we can provide additional parking if prior arrangements are made.

• Age: All guests must be 25+ with the exception of infants with their parents. Children should be over 12 only.

Lovely setting with old growth trees and cats for petting! Quiet, near to Greene by car, walkable neighborhood, very comfortable. Owners were nearby and very responsive to a request to help with entry digital pad. I could hear footsteps and chairs scrape from above, when rented but not a problem. I would rent here again with pleasure. (There was no wine experience but Vrbo required me to rate it to complete their form)

This was our third time to stay at the River Haven Guest House(s). Twice in the First-Floor Guest House and once in the Tree House. This property is a perfect location for a relaxing stay with all the comforts of home. You'll enjoy all the deer grazing on the property in the early morning and evening hours before heading out. The Gruene Haven Subdivision is a great place for relaxing walks as well with deer everywhere. It's perfectly located less than 5 minutes from Gruene Hall, other live music venues, the Gristmill, other restaurants, the General Store and all the places of business that makes Gruene a very special little town. The property is less than 10 minutes away from New Braunfels where you'll find Naegelin's German Bakery for some tasty breakfast goodies, plenty of great restaurants, and entertainment. In addition, it's about 20 minutes from Wimberly and Wimberly Ziplines which is a blast. We've stayed at several other places in Gruene over the years but, this is our favorite place to stay. Finally, the hosts are some of the kindest people you will ever meet and are very accommodating and responsive to all your needs for a very enjoyable stay!

The room was beautiful! It was clean everything we needed was provided. We were able to enjoy coffee one morning and it was completely quiet around out on the front porch. Anytime I messaged they quickly responded, but there was no messages of problems. We plan to stay there again

We had a wonderful time in this home! It was clean, tastefully decorated, and had everything we needed. The hosts were warm and friendly. The yard and kitties were nice for morning coffee. Deer were in the front yard each day. The hot tub was clean and relaxing. It was just a 5 minute drive to Gruene Hall. We will definitely come again!!

Charming!

This was the perfect spot for my husband and me to stay while attending a nearby family reunion. The place was charming and spotless. It had everything we needed for a most comfortable stay. And Kathleen responded to any message almost immediately! I highly recommend this property!

You won’t want to leave!

Beautiful and very peaceful with gorgeous trees all around the neighborhood. We saw squirrels and plenty of deer. So close to The Gruene Hall and the Gristmill restaurant and beautiful antique stores.Very safe property. Has everything you need for a comfortable stay.We were welcome by Kathleen thé owner. Cozy Retreat

Awesome Hill country experience!

Weekend in Gruene with family

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Because we are not located right on the Guadalupe, we are often sought after for the peace and quiet we can afford at River Haven. River access is only a half mile from us, and the village of Gruene is one mile away, however, and we have the unique quality of being desirable for every season, Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter, where guests can enjoy shows by artisans, seasonal activities, superior music at Gruene Hall, Whitewater Amphitheater, River Road Ice House, as well as numerous nearby smaller venues in Gruene and New Braunfels. San Marcos Outlet Shopping is a 20 minute drive away and downtown New Braunfels is 11 minutes away, and you will find abundant night life, antiquing and shopping there, also. Don't forget Wurstfest in the Fall!
